Senate Banking Committee Hearing Offers Two Opposing Views on Crypto

https://dcebrief.com/senate-banking-committee-hearing-offers-two-opposing-views-on-crypto/

Technologies always evolve and never started out perfect. Together, we make it near perfect over a long period of time. We have seen it in personal computers, wireless communication, the Internet, and more.

We are witnessing the greatest technology revolution since the internet.  But this is significantly bigger and more widespread allowing for true global participation of up to 90% of the global population by 2027 with full implementation of the next generation of cell phone – G5.

Since the wealthiest 3% own a larger amount than the remaining 97% global wealth, digital currency with its underpinning block technology has positive world-changing implications. Direct payment between two parties without the participation of a third party makes it possible for the first time in human history to have a technology that provides equal opportunity and participation globally in micro payment, micro investment and other funding programs.

I am concerned about the ruthless culture and rampant bad behavior in our industry. Light-touch regulations are highly appropriate. Our law makers should seek to encourage but not stifle innovations that can help change the world for the better.  Equal opportunity to participate irrespective of wealth, status, or locale is world-changing. Let’s work together to change the culture – fairer and more trustworthy.

The Emerge ICO Summit in Austin went very well. We met many great people who would love to be our friends and may be partners.

Some may end up being just acquaintances, friends, strategic partners, employees, or investors. Only time can tell. It reminded on me that romancing investors is much like dating. Not many got married after the first date. I know that everyone is anxious. But be patience. We will get the job done.

Despite some scheduling challenges, we did very well – gaining tremendous respect and recognition. There was great admiration on what our team has accomplished. We certainly made our marks.

The general consensuses were that the funding sentiments were very different from a year ago when investors, fearing being missed out, would just jump in and invest in anything. The current state is wait and see. I spoke with many founding members, currently raising money, who share that observation.

Having said that I am confident that we are on the right track and making great progress. Being one of NLTV 20 Blockchain SuperStars and one of Silicon Review Magazine “50 Most Trustworthy Companies of The Year” is invaluable to the DNotes’ brand. That will be very attractive to investors, partnership, and exceptional people who want to work for DNotes Global. Things are already happening by the book – the best in class in everything in everything that matters.

This is the first time for a "DNotes tell all" as to why we have taken a totally different path. To us that is the only path to mass adoption. Perhaps no one else is commited to mass adoption of their coin like we do.

I can read you loud and clear. We are one of the 20 Blockchain SuperStars and will most likely named soon as  one of the "50 most trustworthy companies of the year" by Silicon Review Magazine.  We will continue to keep leading in building an inclusive trusted currency. And it will payoff one day. That is what inspires me.  Thank you and keep up the good work.

It is confirmed. I am one of the Keynote Speakers at Emerge ICO Summit in Austin, Texas on Tuesday Oct. 9, 2018. I believe that "Micro payment, micro investment, and regulated ICO will change the world" and given 30 minutes to state my case.

I am also given 15 minutes to pitch DNotes Global's funding campaign using Reg. D 506 (c). Our industry is changing rapidly with more people everyday in agreement with our vision of building a trusted inclusive digital currency -  doing the right thing, at the right time, the right way. Exciting days are ahead.

Very nice  Cool

I think that events like that are really good ways to promote DNotes. I hope that in the future there will be even more opportunities like this  Wink

They are normally crazy expensive. TenCapital is also assisting us in a major campaign to their list of accredited investors. So this is a package deal and working out great for us. Having the credibility and substance certainly helps.

How deep is DNotes looking into the Possibility of coinbase listing our coin. You would think with us following all of the laws in America and them being an American organization it would work with us first before going outside to of the states to others that started as an ICO. Sometimes I feel like we are analyzing until we are paralyzed. You know when you play pool some says “study long study wrong”. How are your visits going Alan? Are there any takers so far?  I know it takes time but when they look at our history and see that we follow the rules to the T they would want to give us a shot. Just asking for an update. Thanks! Sorry if I sound frustrated.

Chet, [30.09.18 22:55]
We are not even on the list of “Not available on Coinbase” that means that they don’t even consider us as a viable coin. There are trash coins on that list. Disappointing.

Alan Yong, [30.09.18 23:31]
Chet, we will have our turn. I did not expect much from Coinbase at this time. Things could change in a few months. I have a major speaking spot at Emerge ICO Summit in Austin Texas on Oct. 9, 2018 - 30 minutes on "Micro payment, micro investment, and regulated ICO will change the world. Identify the winners early." We are also getting an additional 20 minutes to pitch our funding in front of 150 to 200 potential investors. Additionally, we have seen a review copy of "Blockchain SuperStars" featuring DNotes and DNotes Global. Very impressive. Lots of great things happening.

Everyone should read this when you have a little time on your hands:

"The Myth of the Robber Barons"

https://fee.org/articles/how-the-myth-of-the-robber-barons-began-and-why-it-persists/

Good to see you around, RJF.

I took a quick tour of the book you recommended. Fascinating and thought provoking. I am all for limited government. Our industry has proven that without some rules and regulations, leadership, and guidance, things can be quite reckless and chaotic. But extreme expansion of government intervention and regulatory control are wasteful, destructive, and stifles the entrepreneur spirit.

Well said Alan, and frighteningly true.

It's also quite eye opening to see how much influence writers and the press have over what we believe and hold as truth and fact. I blame the educational system for a lot of it. Schools no longer teach us how to think on our feet, they teach us how to follow the loudest protester. This will be our undoing if we allow it to continue. Without an opinion of our own, forged in research and knowledge, we are forced to follow popular opinion created by fools. We see this everyday in the our so call "Press" Don't know how to fix it but, I know it has to be fixed, and soon.

No doubt, the path higher education has chosen in educating our kids these days is frightening. I fear that many of them will be misguided with false expectation.

I have often said that it is bad enough to be fooled by others – but the worst of all is to fool ourselves. I have been seeing a touch of that even in our industry. Instant success is a lucky draw and not sustainable. Persistent hard work in doing the right thing the right wisely is much more dependable and sustainable over one’s life time. We should not promote dependency or discourage and retard the efforts of those who are constructive contributors to society.

It is our mission at DNotes to lead and be the role model that success does not have to happen overnight, or our birth without having to work for it. Being steadfast and fully committed to our vision of building an inclusive trusted digital currency for the benefit of everyone is of utmost importance to us.
Don’t fool ourselves – it has not been and will not be easy. But we know that we are on the right path that is worthy of our efforts and scarify. After almost five years in building a solid foundation, we are now getting ready to make the next big move.

I have always believed that what you get out of a thing is directly proportional to what you put into it, the "no free lunch" philosophy. Both my parents were children of  immigrants, my mother's side Italian and my Fathers side French. They worked very hard to fit in and become productive members of society, something that doesn't happen any more. Now we are expected to give up our values and bend to others. Sorry, not happening here. I give respect because it has been earned, not because it has been demanded. One of the reasons I was attracted to DNotes early on, work ethic, a desire to be the best and devotion to a cause, glad that hasn't changed!

Thank you. We believe in leading by example. As I mentioned various times in the past, we have been casting a very wide net to be inclusive of everyone. Hopefully, one day we can help to change things a little for the better.

BUZZ Talk Update:

The presentation at Buzz Talk in Chicago went very well. I was impressed by the fact that about 25% of the attendees are female and a few of them could be interested to support CryptoMoms including, possibly playing a leadership role.

My second observation was that, given the opportunity to explain our broad vision of a fully integrated ecosystem, with follow-up questions, people can understand the DNotes’s difference. We are much more than a digital currency or just about blockchain and smart contracts. We are about identifying industry challenges and problems confronting mass adoption. We dominated the evening and won great respect.

On the funding side, we continue to generate strong interest and discussion. The fallout of ICOs and high failure rate of blockchain project are making investors more cautious and taking time to do their due diligence. It was very telling for me to learn from one of the law firms present tonight that only 3 out of 60 blockchain projects they are involved in are considered viable. I have no doubt that we are on the right track. Given the patience and persistence we will be funded sooner or later.

Let me clarify. When NextGen VC is place after DNotes Global is sufficiently funded, it is our intent to assist our investment-client to use DNotes blockchain to launch their coin in a compliance ICO.

Two issues are unsettled at this time.
1)  What offering, and disclosure statement would the SEC find acceptable. We believe that ICO is the best and the most efficient tool for capital formation in funding new projects or funding company expansion. My understanding is that the SEC is not against ICO but when an ICO involves the sale of securities, it falls squarely in the SEC’s jurisdiction. The SEC is mandated to protect investors and one of their means is to require filing of disclosure statements with adequate and accurate disclosure materials so that investors can make informed decision. I am hopeful that upon successful funding of DNotes Global first round I will have the opportunity to work closely with the SEC staff and other interested parties.

2)  We have invested heavily in the development of the DNotes 2.0 blockchain with every intent of turning it into a platform for others to develop their applications on and use it to launch new coins. Various possibilities and options have been discussed but we are not at liberty to discuss any details at this point. In general, to ensure best in class mindset in everything that matters, we will likely to be involved with investment, technical assistance, management, and leadership.

I am personally becoming very excited about NextGen VC. It could be a game changer in funding and business management to ensured greatly improved chances of succeeding in business. There are already more proposed projects coming our way than I have time to review.

Interest in our funding remains strong. However, I will not take anything for granted until we are fully funded. It is keeping me increasing busy; communicating with new prospect almost daily. It is rewarding to know from many high-level people in our industry how much they respect the direction we have been taking, what we have accomplished, and our positive contributions to our industry. From my experience, those are great indicators of DNotes becoming an industry leader, though it has yet to be reflected in the price of DNotes.

Please keep up the good work supporting our forum and social media. Your support goes a long way towards the success of our funding efforts. Thank you.

That is excellent to hear such positive feedback from respected peers and those on the outside, looking in.

Next Gen VC is probably the most interesting program we have in planned development, and will be instrumental in solidifying our position as a leader in our industry.

It is unfortunate that much of this high regard that we are held in has yet to be reflected in the price of DNotes. But we know the vision, mission, and objectives, and the appropriate steps to continue moving forward. That forward momentum will result in all the conditions being met that will see our efforts reflected in the DNotes price.

Well said Alan and Tim, I'm looking forward to see Next Gen  VC in action. According to all I have read it will be great tool and very beneficial to the DNotes in general👍

The teachings from my book "Improve Your Odds - The Four Pillars of Business Success" and NextGen VC could have a positive impact in helping to reduce the high rate of business failures. Currently, 8 out of 10 business failed in the first 10 years. As  the book applies to DNotes by finding and solving major problems confronting our industry, we will do the same for NextGen VC's clients. I strong urge everyone - all of DNotes supporter to acquire a copy of the audio book narrated by Tim. He did a fantastic job. Thank you very much, Tim.

Excellent, it brings to light the issue that there will be many forks in the road ahead. An analogy Alan frequently uses, we are heading to the peak of that mountain way over there, and we are going to take the most efficient path to get there, we will hit a few deviations along the way but never stray from the core objective. Our communications reflect this in how we detail our plans. As a new industry there are many uncertainties and unsettled issues.

I do like that mountain analogy -- it makes me think of how we have a very clear vision and mission of what where we are heading, and by that analogy, it is the top of the very tallest mountain around. It can take a while to climb that mountain, but it is worth it in the end because you'll be higher than anybody else. And for that reason, we need not concern ourselves with what others' are doing, who may be further up their own mountain, but one that is not as high. Just stick to the mission we have, which is a big bold idea of massive scope, and hold true to it.

Wow! Looks like we are grooming a few wise men and women at a young age. It is rewarding and that is where I get my inspiration. Very proud of you guys. Keep up with the great work.

DNotes Cross Ownership Model Simplified With Apples And Oranges
https://dnotesedu.com/2018/09/dnotes-cross-ownership-model-simplified-with-apples-and-oranges/

DNotes has implemented an ownership model that is so unlike any other in cryptocurrency, it can be a hard concept to comprehend. DNotes Global inc utilized what is known as a cross ownership model, and effectively gifted 25% equity stake in the corporation to individuals who hold DNotes digital currency, who are represented collectively as a group. Cross ownership is a method of reinforcing business relationships by owning stock in the companies with which a given company does business. DNotes stakeholders collectively own a 25% stake in DNotes Global, which already owns numerous properties. DNotes is our base in the decentralized world, and DNotes Global Inc will be our legal pathway to the centralized world.

To simplify this ownership model so anyone can understand, we will use apples and oranges as a visual aid. Let’s say there are 100 apples which represent all outstanding DNotes, and you own 10 of them. There are 100 oranges in existence which represent 100% of DNotes Global equity. 25 of the oranges would belong to DNotes digital currency holders. If you owned 10 apples (DNotes), your share would effectively be 2.5 oranges (2.5% equity in DNotes Global). Although these shares are non-transferable because they are collectively owned by DNotes digital currency as a group, you can still tell people that you own part of the DNotes Global corporation.

Now let’s go over the principle of dilution as a continuation of the same scenario. If DNotes Global decides to expand it’s business by issuing more equity shares in the company, DNotes digital currency holders collective stake in the corporation would drop proportionally to the percentage of equity issued. For that we will use an extreme example; DNotes Global issues 100 more oranges, which dilutes DNotes digital currency stakeholder equity by 50%. That means your share is now 1.25 oranges instead of 2.5. But since the issuance of new equity shares to worthy partners will likely bring back more value to the company, each orange becomes much bigger.

That’s it! You now know how DNotes cross ownership model works, and you can probably even explain it to a 5 year old with the help of a few items from your fridge.

Thank you, Brandon.

Very well explained. DNotes is uniquely positioned like none others. We are on a mission to solve many problems confronting digital currency from gaining mass acceptance. The lack of intrinsic value is one of them. The success of DNotes Global could be a significant contributor to DNotes intrinsic value, thereby making it more valuable.

I have noticed some sign of slight optimism these days in crypto markets in general, I hope that this means good news also for DNotes😀
Do we already have any more exact data when DNotes will be on TV show which was being talked about some time ago (I forgot the title)? That should also increase exposure significantly👍

We are just as optimistic about our industry and the under-pinning technologies, as ever. As it directly relates to DNotes and DNotes Global, we are gaining tremendous respect and recognition while  generating strong interest on our funding campaign. It is keeping me very busy everyday. But raising money is always a long process and seldom happens overnight. I will remain 100% focused on it until we are sufficiently funded. Stay tuned. We have yet to be advised when the "Bitcoin Super-Star" documentary will be aired. It will be sometime during the next few months.

this sounds very promising. dnotes vision is a long term vision, team are professional and business oriented. but it has troubles in the bear market.

Thank you, Sun Sky.

DNotes is a Big and Bold project of global scale and scope. It has taken us almost five years to build a trusted brand with a fully integrated ecosystem so that anyone can participate. Join us to make this a generational opportunity for all.

For Your Reference:

One of a few hundred of emails I received:

Hello Alan,
Nice to meet you.
I have been in blockchain space for over 3 years now and I look for interesting projects and new ideas.
I have read your message with interests and have reviewed your video.
I still have not gotten the uniqueness of your project.
How is DNotes different from other major coins?
You are asking for support.

Help me understand your product better and I will see if I'm able to help.

Regards

Hi (  ),

Thank you very much for checking us out. Nice to meet you too and learn that you have been in this space for over three years. I got involved with DNotes 4 ½ years ago and seldom have less than 12-hour day working on DNotes.

The DNotes difference is more obvious to our active followers but a challenge to those who just check us out in passing. From a technology perspective, we are very similar to all other coins – using the same engine with a twist and a different name plate.

However, DNotes’ vision is distinctly different. We are committed to a very long-term vision of building an inclusive trusted digital currency for everyone worldwide to participate. We are relentlessly committed to mass acceptance of DNotes for global commerce as a supplement to fiat currency starting with the most crypto-friendly nations. And there are many to get us started.

To truly appreciate the DNotes difference it is essential take a close look at what our dedicated and highly capable team has already accomplished. I strongly recommend that you take a closer look at our white paper and check out some of the links: https://dnotesglobal.com/white-paper/

Mass acceptance of digital currency will not be happening anytime soon.  A great deal of missionary work must be done beyond blockchain and smart contracts, which we are actively involved in ourselves. DNotes 2.0, DNotesVault, our CRISP reward program, and DNotes Pay are worthy mention of those efforts.

We also created CryptoMoms to encourage and assist women to participate in our industry; DNotesEDU to deliver educational contents, and DCEBrief to provide worthy unbiased news affecting our industry. Additionally, we have published a business book, “Improve Your Odds – The Four Pillars of Business Success” to serve as our guidebook to provide the guiding principles for our team and followers. It is also our pathway to the corporate world. We have produced close to 70 training videos, with transcripts and working on an audio book that can be purchased with DNotes using DNotes Pay, ideal for micro transactions. I hope you get the picture that DNotes is different than the rest of the herd – very different.

Regarding how you could help support DNotes, I would love to see you acquire a small amount of DNotes and test out DNotesVault and make recommendations how we can make things even more user friendly. This gives you a chance to get to know us. It would be great if you could join our forum and share some of your industry experience: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1924858.0

Best regards,

Alan

Update on Funding:

Our funding campaign has been going well – as good as we have anticipated. It has generated a lot of interest from potential investors, fund raising professionals and venture Capital (VC) groups. As expected, this is a long process that requires great patience and persistence. It has been keeping me very busy; at times impossible to keep up.

I am confident that we will get funded. In the meantime, I will not take anything for granted but instead continue to pursue new possibilities until we are sufficiently funded. The best our supporters can assist our efforts is to keep our community engaged and continue to get our message out.

Apart from raising the necessary capital this turns out to be a great PR campaign giving me a great opportunity to communicate with many key people in our industry. This opens opportunities for collaborative partnership and potential prospects for NextGen VC.  Overall, it has been very positive including quite a few high-level professionals who would love to work for us given the opportunities. I can feel that DNotes is gaining a lot of respect, though not yet reflected in the price of DNotes.

My messages are very clear to those who could be help to us – get us funded and have DNotes listed on a major exchange. Together, we will continue to pursue that relentlessly.   Thank you for your support.
