81  Economy / Gambling / Re: [WEEKEND ROUND WITH JACKPOT] BitCat.ch - automated bitcoin game. on: August 02, 2011, 12:16:09 PM
I have a few questions though:
Why is there a "rounds played" variable? is this round going to end sometime and I'm going to have to pay another fee? If so, I didn't see that information anywhere... D:
In the "settings" tab, I can check or uncheck "automatic rotation". What's that?

I wonder also.

+1, maybe set a post/rank requirement before one can change username.

So many projects appeared recently, looks like I'm not keeping the pace the community is going with =)
BTW, I made my new project, which is currently running on http://rand.bitcat.ch/ I've not announced it yet, so think of it as a some kind of unreleased project, but  I think, I'll announce it in this week.

Great! im in =) http://rand.bitcat.ch/?ref=3

86  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / getbalance and getreceivedbyaccount on: July 30, 2011, 04:18:49 PM
What is the difference between RPC command "getbalance account" and "getreceivedbyaccount account"?
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can 'getbalance' be less than 'getbalance "account"'? on: July 30, 2011, 03:32:53 PM

88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / [solved]Can 'getbalance' be less than 'getbalance "account"'? on: July 30, 2011, 03:01:34 PM
Can RPC command 'getbalance' be less than 'getbalance "account"'?
89  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / [BUG] RPC getaccountaddress - not same as GUI? on: July 30, 2011, 01:54:30 PM
I have created some accounts via bitcoin client GUI. When I use the RPC command getaccountaddress to get the address, it creates a new address instead and when I try to rename the new address created by RPC via GUI it renames in GUI but still not via RPC.

Example
Lets say I have
Account        Address
Test             1BmAsnzVSfXd4xg6n3ufkEaRCD4advdgqg

I now call RPC getaccountaddress Test. It return a new address (1BUDcUr1WR6H12Vot7qprZoWeZUBunPuMg)

Now I have two accounts
Account        Address
Test             1BmAsnzVSfXd4xg6n3ufkEaRCD4advdgqg
Test             1BUDcUr1WR6H12Vot7qprZoWeZUBunPuMg

If I rename the new address (1BUDcUr1WR6H12Vot7qprZoWeZUBunPuMg) to Test2 in GUI and then call RPC getaccountaddress Test it still return 1BUDcUr1WR6H12Vot7qprZoWeZUBunPuMg

Im using win vista and the portable bitcoin client 0.3.24.
90  Other / Meta / Re: Please STICKY the thread for latest bitcoin release (+ help with 0.3.24) on: July 30, 2011, 01:25:47 PM
I'm having trouble with 0.3.24 not finding glibcxx_3.4.11 and some other file and I'd like to find the official thread for this version, but am unable to.

It would be good if the thread for the latest bitcoin version was stickied, and then unsticky the previous one each time a new one comes out.

so... anyone can give me a link to 0.3.24's thread? thanks.

Here is 0.3.24 thread http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=27187.0

I agree, I vote for disable images in signatures.
* This will also save bandwidth when I surf on my iphone^^.
* Faster page loading time
* Less distraction when reading, which result faster reading.
92  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitcoin Pyramid [alpha-stage] on: July 28, 2011, 04:30:06 PM
Is it intentional that under the current rules depositing more money reduces your chances of getting selected randomly?

If you wanted it the other way around, try this:

Code:
SELECT MemberId FROM bpMember ORDER BY (fromWallet+1)*rand() DESC LIMIT 1;

Both algorithms are correct and favor members who deposited more. I tried both of them 1000 times and here are the results.

Which one would you choose? Smiley

Not fair, Im not in the list Tongue hehe

Very very bad news if this happens =/
99  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitcoin Pyramid [alpha-stage] on: July 24, 2011, 01:43:23 PM
I have a suggestion, how about limit the withdrawn so you max can withdraw 2X of what you deposited? If you maxed the withdraw it will go to some random untill you deposit again. This will result more people getting profits and more money getting deposit.
