The volume is unbelievably low, any particular reason for that? People lose interest in doge and all walked away? or do whales wait till market is mature again for a profitable round of pump and dump ?

No worries. It just a holiday period. Many other cryptos also have low volumes.

Most big whales should already took profits and have started enjoying their holidays with doge Smiley

Just want to say I've hit the minimum withdrawable amount of 0.002 BTC today and have already received my first withdrawal.

Thanks Cryptomine!  Cheesy

And I have also found that there seems to have a character limit for the transaction PIN. If I set it to 6 digits, the system said "Transaction PIN is invalid" when I tried to withdraw. I had to change it to 4 digits for the transaction PIN to pass through.

This should be another area that can be improved later on.

Just wanted to mention I managed to make my first (minimal) withdrawal of 0.002btc from Cryptomine, it took nearly 24hrs to get approved though.

Congrats. It seems you're the first one who can successfully withdraw.

Since I get only 1Mh on Oct 30, I haven't been able to hit the minimum withdrawable amount of 0.002 BTC yet. But I like the interface of the website and I have got 2 daily altcoins mining rewards, which are 0.000390 BTC and 0.000410 BTC respectively. If it continues to run smoothly, I will be able to try withdrawing in the next few days.

For the website improvement, I think it better can show what altcoin(s) we are actually mining. Now this information is not shown on the website. It will be even better if it can show the breakdown of mining rewards for each altcoin.

Im not mad, i didnt invest in right before halving.
Just saying that this coin dont have future.
What was that pump? Not even 120 and dump?
We will never reach ~280 again. Am i wrong?

The dump is understandable. It is very likely people who bought near 20 sats take profits at around 100 sats. I believe if you were one of them you might do the same too.

But after this, it won't be impossible to hit 280 sats again. It's just not likely to happen in the near future.

Doge survived. Surpassed LTC. Love it.
no doubt the doge will be the second top marketcap.
but the ltc will go after.

During Bitcoin conferences, Doge is mentioned a lot more than LTC.

Sad to see Litecoin is being lost in the dust, LTC dev team doesn't seem to have a lot in stake.

This is not something unexpected. Size of the Doge community is obviously larger than that of LTC. I think this is the main reason why Doge should overtake LTC.

Nevertheless, I honestly don't want to see LTC dying. Nothing is impossible especially in crypto world. Still the LTC dev team can do a better job in building up their community if they want. Better to see more good coins available to help growing up the whole crypto world.

How do you think the last days price action has affected the trend? Do we need to see if it stabilizes or drops further before making a call?  Tempted to buy some now but just waiting patiently at the moment.

I hope that the current price in a few days will seem low))

I think doge price does need to be stablized for a while since it has climbed a lot in the past few weeks.

After that, I am sure doge price will be back to the up trend again.  Cheesy

The stability on DOGE the last 48 hours has been impressive considering what was going on with BTC (which I think was caused by Alibaba IPO).

How did the alibaba IPO drop the BTC price so drastically?

This is the first I've heard if this and it makes no sense.

Thanks!

This is off topic for DOGE but yeah it's really obvious and I wasn't the only person thinking the same.
http://www.coindesk.com/downward-pressure-bitcoin-price-declines-to-near-400/
Read the top comment after the article. The one with 24 upvotes indicating many people agree with it.

It's psychology. BTC price was already dropping for days and got a push from Alibaba.
A lot of people assumed (maybe wrongly) that Alibaba would cause other assets to drop in value because people wanted to sell assets to buy Alibaba.
So they started actually selling - even if they were not buying Alibaba. Including BTC.
If you think something is going down in price then you sell anyway and buy back in at low.

If enough people think the same (which they clearly do) then they sell BTC and the price crashes.
Which it did. Doesn't matter if people really were selling or not to buy Alibaba. They only had to think others were.
Then they really did start selling BTC out of fear.

Maybe whale's used Alibaba IPO timing to make it look like there was a panic dump on the event so they could buy cheaper.
All that mattered was that it looked like to enough people that it caused a REAL panic dump.
Which is what happened in the end.

This is how markets work every day.
Find something that can be used to create fear of a price drop -- and then start the chain reaction.

11 days to go

If it is really the case, I'm not worried now.

Once Alibaba fever is cooling down, every asset that being dumped will soon recover and go back to normal.

So it will just be a short term crash and at the end of the day, only people that join the panic sell will possibly suffer loss.

Merge mining is working with p2pool!

Currently merge mining DOGE with POT, GLC and NYAN. Will soon add DGC, WDC, CRC, CSC, and ANC.

Need to figure out how to payout any found doge blocks to the miners! Let me know if anyone comes up with something.

Going to try using proxypool to handle the autopayout of doge by having miners use their DOGE address as the password but if anyone else has a better way please post!

What, how are you doing that?  I thought the only scrypt coins merge mineable right now were doge and LTC.  When did all the other coins get the AUXpow merge patch added?  How could this news not be all over the place?

Can anyone else confirm?

Thx

LOL, what...you don't believe me Vlad2Vlad? Tongue  DOGE will accept any POW scrypt coins as it's AuxPOW.

Get the DOGE daemon going and then add --merged http://rpcuser:rpcpassword@127.0.0.1:22555 to the end of your startup script replacing u/p and IP with whatever your using. You can combine multiple auxPOW coins...not just DOGE but I haven't bothered looking into the other ones.

You will see something like "Got new merged mining work!" every so often in the console.

Limitations:
  • Only the local node's hashrate is used for finding merge mined coins (DOGE in this case). Not the entire p2pool's hashrate.
  • Reward on found merge mined blocks go to the local wallet.
  • Have not figured out an easy way to distribute found DOGE blocks to the local nodes workers.

Room for improvement:
  • Enable the entire p2pool's hashrate to work on merge mined coins or at least combine the nodes that are using merged mined coins.
  • Immediate payout on found merged mined coins as cleanly minted coins with no transaction history just like the main coin.

These two item could be accomplished by having an auxP2PoolShareChain for the coins that support auxPOW. It would need to identify the coin and miners working on it as only the workers on nodes with the merged mined coin enabled should get the block reward. Not a trivial task and beyond my time and skill level.

Thanks for the explanation.

I wish I could combine multiple auxPOW coins but I thought Doge is still the only auxPOW enabled coin right now or am I miss something?
