81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Biggest sad news for XMR, ZEC & DASH Holder on: January 02, 2021, 07:57:59 AM
Why would they delist just because of KYC? All the while some exchanges do keep those coins listed? Is it because the exchange is not competitive enough?
The only party who can answer your question is the bittrex team itself. The team gives unclear reason about that. It sounds ridiculous to see the team was arguing KYC and AML as the reasons to delist the anonymous coins but itseems like that this thing is correlating with the latest news about US will be putting more restriction for people who have kept their money in exchange sites that didn't operated in US territory.
US is trying to put more regulation on it too.
It's all making sense now, I thought Monero privacy is jailbroken by a power organization, they claimed they can trace Monero transactions already, can't remember the name of these people again but I'm sure they are in the US, anyways I don't see this as bad news for privacy coins but instead a good reason to buy privacy coins
82  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SEC Knocking on a projects door means the end? on: December 31, 2020, 05:26:00 PM
XRP should be able to settle SEC with everything they got, this project have been around for years now, no matter what the loss may be XRP will recover, I believe there are strong XRP believers out there too, if truly XRP is a capable project it's now that we will get the answer
83  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The question of Mining. on: December 31, 2020, 05:20:24 PM
How can I use my office computer to mining? Will it damage the computer?
Yes you can but mining with a computer isn't Profitable anymore, you will end up wasting electricity for nothing sake, it's better to get the right equipments for mining to make it worth while, almost all good altcoins you can mine have high mining difficulty
84  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin?⁰ on: December 31, 2020, 05:07:26 PM
It depends on when you need the fund, mind you don't have the thought that Bitcoin wi always go up from here on, the price will still go down, bears will still take over some day so if you are into Bitcoin for long term hold it's good to buy but if you invested to make more money you got to be careful, no one knows when bitcoin will go down again
85  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie seeking for a answer on: December 29, 2020, 05:21:55 PM
Is Satoshi Nakamoto the founder of bitcointalk forum as well? I checked his profile and it says founder instead of legendary member or hero members like others, if he is the founder then I can easily add this to one of my reasons why this is the best place for crypto new comers to be. Thanks
Probably you've confused about satoshi the rank, instead of Legendary or Hero member as you can see, a Sr. member rank next to the "founder" badge under his name that found on the satoshi's profile.  The reason is, that account was inactive a long time ago and didn't reach the requirement to rank even though satoshi was received enough merits to rank up, supposedly.  The Merit & new rank requirements was introduced by theymos (admin) on January 24, 2018, and satoshi was inactive since December 3, 2010, so that account ain't able to rank up due to the requirements needed.

And you're right, this forum is the best place for all crypto enthusiasts.  Welcome on board and this is the best place to hang out while learning different discussions relating to blockchain technology or cryptos in general.
Well said, this is why I took project's ANN very serious on this forum, any projects that don't have one on this forum is a big no for me, bitcointalk forum is very popular and I expect smart people to find their way up here to gain knowledge about crypto and also stay on the right track
86  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Knowing about this forum will help more on: December 29, 2020, 05:17:33 PM
Nice topic OP, sticking with bitcointalk forum you will always get the right informations and fair answers about any particular project, this forum have safe me from few scam projects that I was about to invest money on, you can't find such fair reviews and truth about crypto projects out there but here
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust Active telegram Groups? on: December 28, 2020, 05:10:52 PM
You don't have to choose projects by their telegram group, activities on the group won't bring success for the project, team who have some aims to achieve won't have all day to stay active on telegram group either, I chose projects by their usefulness only and not by telegram groups
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done/are you doing with your ICO coins? on: December 28, 2020, 05:06:51 PM
I can't sell most of them because they are too worthless, I have to keep holding and hoping that one day they will appreciate in value, what I've learnt so far is every ICO and IEO projects will lose value at one point in time and may never recover, if you are not ready to hold for long term always take profit after ICO or crowdfunding is over
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When This Scam Will stop?? on: December 27, 2020, 04:34:56 PM
We all know that it was a very popular forum back in 2017-2018.

after that, every altcoin announcement and project was like a total scam, Every new member became a copper member for management of a project.
I mean why isn't there any rules for this?
Every day there is so many coins launched in the market but they didn't even know about this forum.

It's a whole new level of risky project if they can't provide a link to their ANN thread on this forum, don't give such project a face at all, there are hundreds of such projects on Twitter and some people are buying such coins and tokens, if we are ever going to choose the right projects it's on us, we have to put in more effort to recognize better reliable crypto projects
90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies! Beware of using Centralized wallet like Coinbase. on: December 26, 2020, 05:31:12 AM
There are many online wallets and web wallets in crypto space and many people don't know the differences between dex and CEX wallets till date, they went ahead and go with any available wallet they see, some don't even know what private keys and Mnemonic seeds are, it's a complete shame, wallets like free wallet, coinbase and others are examples of online wallet, they give users no key to their funds, if coinbase got hacked users will lose their assets to hackers
91  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless on: December 26, 2020, 05:25:41 AM
KYC is bad here and there, I can see how many people hate the system but what are you guys going to do now that it looks like all centralized exchanges will abandon non verified traders on their exchanges soon? I'm sure many are trading on centralized exchanges that accepts non verified users e.g binance
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Developers - The most important factor of Blockchain? on: December 26, 2020, 05:18:31 AM
The defi craze has attracted so many people into switching their career and becoming blockchain developers, the emergence of massive government backed stablecoins also contribute much more to it. It's not a secret that senior blockchain developers who works at big company usually have a really high salary.
I guess people just want to jump in because the market for these developers still not as saturated as any other field.
It would have been great if all the developers are professionals, many come here to take advantage of crypto because of huge amount of money that's involved, most especially DeFi projects which are mostly scam and dubious projects, not all developers are real blockchain devs
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to find best Airdrops? on: December 26, 2020, 05:14:06 AM
oh shit. after I browse what is 1inch.exchange? it turns out that the Dex platform launched an airdrop similar to the UNI token at that time. if someone trades until December 24 evening and trades at least $ 20, then you will receive over 600 1 inch Tokens worth over $ 1100.

I have missed this golden opportunity
If there was an announcement for this airdrop then it was on low key, I never heard anything about it until now and I guess it's already too late, even the popular airdrop platforms that I've knew since 2017 don't share the information, this is not so good move
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A little word of advice is enough for the wise on: December 24, 2020, 03:34:00 PM
It's very simply to handle this, coinbase is very popular and they will never seize non verified users assets without giving them a deadline to pass KYC or withdraw their coins from the wallet, only those who don't like KYC will have to move out their funds, I trust coinbase but wallets with private keys are much more better
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful with the Gokumarket exchange on: December 24, 2020, 03:30:49 PM
Gokumarket as in dragon ball xenoverse or budokai ?😁 LOLZ, anyways  I will never use any exchange that's not well known to trade my coins or tokens, this is very common between newbies today, they don't have time to do research, thy decide to take things into their hands and they only learn when they make grave mistakes no matter how many times you warn them
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from centralized wallets on: December 21, 2020, 06:00:59 PM
Centralized wallets or decentralized - the choice is only on the user's side! Each solution has its advantages and disadvantages, each has acceptable and unacceptable risks. Someone does not worry that he does not fully manage his wallet, for another it is important that no one except him can manage his assets. Someone believes in "a worldwide conspiracy of the holders of the private keys of our wallets", and some laugh at it. At the same time, everyone evaluates the situation subjectively, since there can be no real objective assessment of risks due to the huge number of nuances

Exactly. Choosing one type of wallet from the other will greatly depend on a person's specific needs. For newbies, a centralized wallet proves to be an extremely convenient tool to gain access to the world of crypto without technical knowledge whatsoever. But experienced crypto users will find decentralized wallets an indispensable tool because of their focus on security, reliability, and censorship resistance. It's important to know that both centralized and decentralized wallets have their respective advantages/disadvantages. Just to be safe, only leave a small portion of crypto in a centralized wallet. For large crypto holdings, decentralized wallets (either software or hardware related) prove to be a no-brainer for achieving rock-solid security against malicious actors. The only downside is that the responsibility of securing your funds will solely lie in yourself.

Nonetheless, it seems to me that centralized wallets won't be going anywhere. They will co-exist with existing decentralized solutions in the crypto/Blockchain space. Whichever type of wallet you choose, always remember to act responsibly in order to avoid facing many undesired situations in the long run. Following the necessary security precautions will allow you to stay safe in this wild and crazy world of crypto. Just my opinion Smiley
Things will take a different turn for centralized wallet once regulations is a must for all centralized projects and platforms in crypto space, to keep coins on coinbase requires no KYC yet but as time goes on non verified users won't be able to use such wallets, maybe that's when some people will understand the difference
97  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's too damn easy to become a developer nowadays on: December 21, 2020, 05:57:28 PM
it's not that easy to become a developer, you can't call yourself as a developer if you are just like for example, copying the codes, even non certified can be a great developer, the certificate is just paper, you can have lots of certificates but you might lack on skills, to create a certain project is not that easy, you need to have a background, developers are working at the backend coding, I think the one who is doing the bad jobs are in the front although developers might know it already since they were a team.
The fact is how will you know if the person that called himself a developer is really a developer, I think what the original post is trying to tell us is the fake developers amongst us today, they can build tokens through smart contract platforms and it cost nothing to pretend to be a developer today
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: December 20, 2020, 05:27:02 PM
Anything is possible in this world but for that to happen Ethereum will have to lose supports because right now Ethereum got all the love from all smart contract users, Ethereum has strong community, whatever the new project will have to offer must be very different, like something we've never seen before in crypto space, maybe then just maybe Ethereum can be defeated
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is much effective than ICO nowadays. on: December 20, 2020, 05:24:17 PM
When it comes to IEO top exchanges reputation speaks louder than other small exchanges and investors have learn that top exchanges owns the path to IEO success, trust is been restored through IEO, there is no risk of losing money or not making any profit at all unless you choose projects that plan to use small exchanges for IEO which may results into unsatisfied results
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot going to Kill Ethereum? on: December 19, 2020, 04:17:33 PM
Polkadot project can be a worthy competitors to EOS and Neo but not Ethereum, Ethereum isn't the only old smart contract project standing so tall and most new smart contract projects haven't defeat those smart contract projects  under Ethereum like EOS, Stellar or Neo, let them accomplish that first
