81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: October 13, 2019, 11:51:05 AM
Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

Most ICOs are beyond salvation and many have lose interest in ICOs. It is very unfortunate what happened last year and many investors have lost a lot of money in that period. It clearly did a number in the reputation of altcoins. Even top alts have experienced the impact of the negative trust in altcoins. If there is only a way to make those scammers pay for what they did. I hope that this could still be fix or heal in time.

2017 has been a huge hit to the cryptospace because of these scammers and scam projects, and 2018 was just the same, but lesser cases. Karatbars was one of them, their project is now being investigated by the Florida authorities and got delisted everywhere.

Investors have already learned the cons if you participated in an ICO, which is why people prefer IEO's and STO's since it's a way for themselves to be protected by exit scams.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[ANN] MARQUISE $MUSEUM - Investment grade art book [Ready to deliver] on: October 10, 2019, 06:34:58 AM
It is probable that the primary settlement ledger will also be AGI powered which was ETHs initial prospect
LOL. Waves already supporting smart contracts, and script's, maybe this will be Turing-complete (or already now),
and then will be possible to connect there an ASI,
or the great super-system with many ASI, not one AGI.  Grin

I'm not understanding it too, why does it look like you're talking to yourself in the thread which has nothing to do with Marquise?
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alter coins will moon very soon. on: October 10, 2019, 06:32:05 AM
I don't see altcoins go moon anytime from now and in fact, only legit and great altcoins will prevail out of hundreds that are out there. I've seen so many projects that had successful funding but are not even making any marketing efforts to please the investors. They should focus on delivering what they promised on their roadmap and let people have the project be developed for crypto. From writing articles, developing dApps and more. Anything that can help take the project to the next level.

Though we can never tell when altseason will begin since everyone is still dependent on BTC's value rise or drop, but as long as these altcoins do their part, they should shine at their own time.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ancestral Heart - New Gen Crypto of the Panche Tribe in Colombia on: October 05, 2019, 10:38:04 AM
Very interesting project that focuses on ancestors and ancient history/items from other countries. Crypto is definitely evolving and best of luck for this project!
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Speculation Coming Soon... on: October 05, 2019, 10:35:35 AM
I observed that the Altcoin market is crowded already as every month there is a new Altcoin was introduced making the investors to become smaller and divided that because of this, I expect that more investors will loss their interest in Altcoins specially that it looks like they are starting to diminish now due to there is no sign of a healthy environment.

We indeed more quality altcoins out there and a lot of quality investors have already shied away from coin offerings. Even bounty hunters are already having a hard time to find good campaigns that will pay them 100% because if the project failed to receive funding, they will also postpone the bounty campaign. There are platforms that develop for crypto where we can help build enable a project's business development, those activities will help us be a part of a project and guide them into the right direction.

All projects that have successful funding should follow Ethereum's footsteps tbh, all these altcoins that don't do anything at all are what's making the investors impatient.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Nexxus Rewards a good buy? on: October 03, 2019, 03:09:25 PM
Not at all. This is dead project and I saw it on bounty thread too. If you look carefully you would see bounty manager got red trust because these Nexxus rewards have fake team members and this coin is not active on exchanges, no buyer at all.

We appreciate the warning, if it's a dead coin now and they have 0 volume at all, they should consider doing this new style of airdrop. If they have spare tokens (which I'm assuming they do), they should try this out so that they can atleast get a promotion if the OP wants to revive Nexxus. I think NXX is not even listed in CMC right now, I tried looking for them and I found NXS (Nexus) instead.

88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Privacy Coins under Scrutiny? on: October 03, 2019, 05:59:05 AM
It's definitely a hit against privacy coins and the government has obvious reasons against that. One of the issues here is that people who have no idea of what crypto is, are always seeing crypto being used in illegal stuff which is also blocking us from having mass adoption. Though I think that there are still exchanges that are trading and you can still get it in alternative IEO's, even better since you always buy low and sell high.

All these rules by the government will affect the investors and their investments badly, it would only be a matter of how people show as how they use it.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] apM-Coin |South Korean Wholesale Titan - Payments; Loyalty; 1.5M Customers on: October 02, 2019, 11:24:23 AM
as a blockchain-based platform, is apM participating in the Block Battle program in Korea? because I see that APM has good vision and already has quite a lot of users in the Korean region.

Yes, they have a very large userbase in Korea that you can already count as actual users of apM. I think the estimated count was 1.5m which is massive, imagine that number of people using the payment system and get rewards in a form of crypto.

That's massive. I wonder if they can convert the apM coin into fiat somewhere? Will it be done via an app or will there be like an ATM machine in each apM malls.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IEO: Where should I buy? on: October 02, 2019, 11:21:16 AM
On Probit, a large selection of altulins, I bought myself BTZC yesterday

Probit is okay, but the main ones that are a priority to check first is Binance Launchpad. Their daily volume is huge and the only downside there is how hard and expensive it is to get in. There's something like an evolved IEO that lets you buy unlocked coins in a private sales-like price, and I think the minimum for you to participate is only about $10 or $20 but the reward can be huge. Almost all IEO's are good but at the same time, it can't guarantee you profits all the time.

What I'm only glad about is that people have learned from the ICO days and the community is now aiming to make the perfect system for investors using IEO's.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] TecraCoin (TCR) | PoW/PoSe - Hi-Tech Patented Technologies on: October 01, 2019, 02:27:07 AM
Hi! Has the project been listed at any exchange?

I think they're planning to be on LAToken. Not really sure if it was already confirmed but that was their initial plan. It would be good if they can go with exchanges with larger volume, that may help them with their fundraising overall.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the time for a comeback for crypto? on: October 01, 2019, 02:24:57 AM
I would not call it a come back if we're talking about short-term. I don't see crypto going bullish in the next few months/EOY. We may see an upward trend in 2020 as we get to the halvening. I would say that we're slowly getting there as existing companies are already incorporating crypto into their system similar to a shopping mall in Korea that has over 10k visitors daily which will get crypto in reward. That may definitely trigger a comeback in crypto and start getting demand from the community.

It's also a bit disappointing that BAAKT did not get the impact that the community have initially wanted but what they're doing is still great for exposure overall.

Which exchange are you gonna conduct your STO? Go for big ones with large volumes, it will definitely help with the fundraising for sure.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is investing in crypto a good idea? on: September 28, 2019, 11:23:01 AM
You got to have the proper understanding of how crypto works together with it's pros and cons before really getting into it, not doing so can really make your 1st impression go very well, or bad which may lead you to never try it again. It's good to start on investing small and minimize risks as much as you could. IEO's are such a hot thing now and there's also micro token offerings which lets you invest on unlocked tokens on a private-sales like price. If you haven't heard of a private sales, it's the first phase of their token offerings which lets you buy the token for like 50% off, the further the campaign go, the more they minimize the bonus.

It's always good to invest in crypto and there's no bad or good timing at all. It really depends on what your goal is, if it's ROI, or to support the tech itself. Regardless, we have such an amazing technology here and it's fun to be a part of it in its infant stage

Love that the community can bring their own research to the table for exchanges.

After the fork, it seems that there will be at least some new exchange... who knows maybe even more!

96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the most promising cryptocurrencies? on: September 26, 2019, 12:17:21 PM
There are a lot of promising coins out there and it's just a matter of us to determine which one are we gonna believe in. I'm more of a long-term type of investor and I like to support projects that are aiming to solve current issues, such as a mobile carrier in Korea making a universal sim to eliminate these crazy fees by major players. Blockchain is such an amazing technology which provides transparency.

We need coins that will help drive mass adoption and make people realize that this is what can provide us a better life.
97  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: September 24, 2019, 01:21:41 PM
Remember Bustabit guys? I have several known persons who gambled there in the past and got lucky (or I don't know what trick they did but they earned big and I saw it). Their big winnings were cashed-out almost regularly until coins.ph noticed that activity. I even saw withdrawing BTC0.05-BTC0.1 every 2 to 3 days. That was really alarming so coins.ph asked for some details and those users say it came from "gambling" then you know what happened next, account frozen. I don't remember what happened next from there.

May tawag sa ganun... hahahahaha.. pwede naman sabihin remitance from other country, or mining (kasi mining naman talaga where it all comes from) ... basta wag mo sabihin galing sa sugal na laro.

magkakaissue ba pag sinabing galing gambling ung money? Parang nbasa ko to sa Skrill, prang PayPal sya pero ganun dn, ayaw nila ng pera galing sugal.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are u buying alts? on: September 24, 2019, 01:17:01 PM
Still a bit hesitant to buy alts at this current time and would rather focus on major coins that has lesser risk like BTC and ETH. There are exceptions though with projects that are aiming to solve the issues that a normal consumer is having against these big players in the space who are manipulating the market. One of the major telecom in Korea have now entered the scene and is aiming to eliminate how dependent we are with our local carriers and have a universal one instead. There are so much limitations from these companies, like us having no control of our data, fees, and more. Similar to how the government controls our money, and even try to control crypto which they don't even own at all.

I don't see altseason happening short-term but the future definitely looks bright for new coins in the market. As long as they deliver on their roadmap, everything should be good.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is whitepaper important in the project? on: September 22, 2019, 07:41:21 AM
Whitepaper is one of the first few things that people look at whenever a startup is being introduced to them. It may make or break what their first impression will be and it's where they can tell if the project has a good cause/missing something.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Sure Are You That You Invested In A Right New Coin? on: September 22, 2019, 07:28:09 AM
It really depends on what your goal and vision is as an investor. You'll know if you invested in the right coin if they align with what you wanted, whether it be for a quick buck or for the technology itself. I would say that crypto/blockchain is still in its early stages and I'm fully supportive of projects that can help spread adoption quick, having a cryptocurrency as a reward to loyal shoppers will definitely open their curious minds and look at what they're getting as incentives. Any small thing that will help adoption is definitely key, especially in areas where crypto is not yet that widely known/accepted.
