81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency as a environmental possibilism on: September 15, 2020, 06:40:24 AM
Speaking in terms of the environmental possibilism, almost every invention is an example of possibilism. No matter it is a gold coin, fiat money or a cryptocurrency.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Points, Miles, Cash-back... Should we create similar systems in bitcoin? on: September 14, 2020, 09:47:09 AM
I think that using cash-back or bitcoin-back programs is unreasonable. It'd be better to offer discounts on purchases payed with Bitcoin.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: August 17, 2020, 12:48:33 PM
I agree that Bitcoin is very good for the economy, if you look at transactions using Bitcoin are much faster and the fees are far
cheaper than using fiat currency.
I can't agree that Bitcoin transactions are faster than transactions in fiat. Sometimes it takes much time to get transactions approved, while Visa or MasterCard transactions are instant.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: User-friendly EOS wallet? on: August 14, 2020, 03:46:17 AM
Do you think that ownr wallet is not enough? it's another one non custody wallet, so i dont think that it worse than others
Mobile wallets are less secure than hardware wallets, it's a fact. Despite it, using a non-custodial wallet is enough for storing small amounts of crypto. For example, I use Ownr wallet and Lumi. Both of them can be recommended as user-friendly.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting CoinDesk about "Dirty" Gold and "Dirty" Bitcoin on: August 14, 2020, 03:31:35 AM
Bitcoin is a beautiful system with its own standards. We don't need to build another meta-system to control and regulate it. I don't like an idea of introducing Bitcoin as Gold 2.0 or creating Bitcoin's version of the LBMA.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC Can show economy on: August 09, 2020, 07:08:55 AM
if the btc not going up anytime soon in few months we are in real trouble...then the whole economy will collapse.
Could you explain it, please? Why will the economy collapse if Bitcoin goes down? Bitcoin isn't the world reserve currency or the store of wealth.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: August 09, 2020, 06:53:17 AM
Looking from a positive side, scams help Bitcoin to become more popular.
88  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: August 02, 2020, 07:05:17 AM
I like that you've added full EOS support. Will it be possible to buy EOS via Ownr one day?
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Says Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Must Evolve to Reach Mass Adoption on: August 02, 2020, 06:52:03 AM
That's true, but I want to add that cryptocurrency is easy in use for educated ones. I think mass adoption is impossible when most people have no idea about Bitcoin and how it works.
90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAM OR NOT? on: July 26, 2020, 02:42:18 PM
It looks like a scam, and the scheme is very similar to the recent Twitter hack. Why did you not buy Bitcoin directly from any exchange? Never believe those who advertise 1000% profit in a few days.
91  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: July 19, 2020, 12:07:06 PM
Will you expand the list of coins available for purchasing thru Ownr? Doge became extremely popular now. Ownr supports it, but there is no option to buy the coin.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 19, 2020, 11:56:19 AM
I suppose no one wants to see it Grin Anyway, later McAfee said that he made all these mad promises and predictions for Bitcoin promotion.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Get ready for more tax. Save your BTC! on: May 02, 2020, 10:36:51 AM
You should worry about more taxes on cryptocurrency if you use cryptos for taxable events (trading cryptocurrency to fiat, or crypto to crypto, using cryptocurrency for goods and services, earning cryptocurrency as income). But crytptocurrency transfer and buying crypto with USD aren't considered as taxable events.
94  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: April 12, 2020, 04:09:58 AM
Does OWNR wallet plan to increase the number of its partnership agreements? Will the project be cooperated with exchanges, banks, companies, or some financial projects in the future or will the partnership with Bitfinex remain the only one?

For what reason? If just for building their marketing campaign - it's ok. They may include more features and list coins without other parties.

Bitfinex users were provided an option which was not available to them before as a result of this collaboration. So saying it's just for hype would be an exaggeration.
It's much more than a sophisticated PR campaign for Bitfinex, now the exchange has a credit and debit card support. But for the OWNR this collab is only a way to get more popular and engaging with new customers.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: April 12, 2020, 03:39:00 AM
I don't think that the global pandemic causes the demand for decentralized economy. The economical decentralization can't fix the situation now. It's likely that COVID-19 fast spreading shows that there is a room for digitalization. And the society is almost ready to become cashless.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 27, 2020, 12:09:54 PM
No one knows when it will end. Headlines like "coronavirus cure found" have mushroomed since February, but working on vaccine may take 6 to 8 months. I can't accept a statement that corona killed the economy. It wasn't merely panic around the virus.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 21, 2020, 09:28:15 AM
I don't think that Bitcoin needs its popularization. Just give Bitcoin more time for becoming more accepted and popular.
P.S. Recently Pornhub has added USDT to its payment methods. Did it make Tether more popular? No.

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.1 (Windows/Linux) on: August 17, 2016, 01:43:59 AM
My cards slows down after mining for about 10 minutes. I'm sure it's not related to thermal throttling because temperature was fine. Any idea how this happens? Is this pool-related problem?

Lumayan sebelum koinnya pindah ke Proof of Stake Smiley
