I'm hesitating  It sounds reasonable but having a legal orgazisation for a decentralized currency is kinda odd. Qora, what do you think? Difficult to say. What I am planning to do is create a private repository with a public bug tracker to which everyone will have access.
This will allow for better bug tracking and to give a better overview on what is being developed.
I have been trying to follow the discussions on qora.club. It is up to the community to decide where they want to discuss certain things.
I will follow the majority of the community.
If you have certain questions it is best to pm me.
I will not be able to keep following every discussion once the community grows bigger.
As you probably know I have no intention to promote or market this currency at the early stages.
Before this currency can start to run it must be able to walk.
However I can not or will stop others from doing this.
Hi Qora, any chance you are aware of the issue I posted yesterday? I have v3 wallet on 1 comp. I downloaded v5 on another wallet and used the seed. The only address I have qora on is the 1st address of the 10 I had. I did everything from changing 10 to 20 addresses when I restored from seed to clicking new address so I had 100+ I still couldn't find that address. Also none of my name's moved over. What can I do to fix this? Could you please check if the seeds of both wallets are indeed the same. Open file -> debug -> console Type the following command: GET wallet/seed Also check if there is a space at the end or the beginning of your seed. You are the first one to report this issue. |

The servers seem to be running fine now (24+ hours).
I am aware of most issues and will try to fix them as soon as possible.
Also having all your Qora in one address does not increase the chance of generating a block.

People running a node will have this problem: After a few hours the application will stop doing anything but will not crash either. It will stop sending any messages over the network and does not want to close when you try to. To run the application I use this command: sudo nohup java -Xmx1024m -Djava.library.path=libs/native -jar Qora.jar -disablegui To accept more connections then the default 20 add an extra line to your settings.ini knownpeers 146.185.141.232;162.243.170.76

Another small glitch, my addresses are not displayed on v4 accounts window since restoring from seed..they showed up initially but not after close/reopen...they dissappeared?? (Edit: closed from command ^C)
Closing from command line will make changes to the database not commit. |

There is some problems with your naming system.
But i suggest to turn it into positive way.
So, adding spacebar after any single word - makes it indistinguishable by view with original.
Ok, lets imagine some new names enviroment with Qora, like www or http in web, without any technical discussion.
How it will look? Qoraalias+spacebar
This can be a real Qora features. Very brandable.
On the name exchange list when the name ends with a space I will replace that space with a '.' Also I fixed double clicking on a name not showing the correct name. |

How to check if one is on a fork?
BTW, I found a bug. If you got to debug and then to transactions and sort the number of confirmations, it sorts it wrong.

As for transactions: I had 3 an hour ago and now only one in the list!?
Got the same problem. I sent some coins yeasterday but didn't find this transaction today. And recipient didn't get coins, so I sent again today. I decided that I was on fork or something so this transaction rolled back. Interesting to hear Qora's opinion. You were probably on a fork. Things are still not working correctly. I am trying to fix this. are you guys even getting any connections at the moment?  Few OKE for me...mostly no connections RED... we really should set up nodes. I hope to work on that in a few days. As for transactions: I had 3 an hour ago and now only one in the list!? The account I "named" is no longer there as well...this must be related to the blocks being off a bit. Let me see if a reboot helps any. Just wait. It disconnects only at the start at my setup. Later it works flawlessly. I have changed the code so that it first tries to connect to the peers in settings. This should solve the problem. I will release the new version in a bit. |

You are probably running with rpc disabled. Can you check the run.bat/run.sh and see if there is a -disablerpc in there. If there is remove it, restart and try again. |

How to best test my seed to ensure recovery at a later date if needed?
If for some reason my seed is "corrupted", shall I create a new wallet on a different machine and transfer funds to new account/seed?
note: I am only tinkering with "gifted" funds not full stake. But I want to be sure that I can recover wallet..nothing would be more gut-wrenching than to not be able to recover seed accounts...this is a major value-add qora offers!

I'm having peer connection problems and my block height is stuck at 467. Peers will join then quickly cut off...not much okeqora - i have not requested release of my stake yet as I want to make sure I have a stable client. Will request soon but still tinkering. Hoping to get at least a half day of oke first. Did you close the application by closing the console window? Can somebody help me to run the wallet on a MAC? I have downloaded the file at MEGA, I have unzip it, from here.... Some help is much appreciated You will need to use the terminal to start the application. and execute the run.sh file. ./run.sh You will probably need to give it permission to execute. I cannot help you much on getting it to work on MAC I tested it on a virtual machine and it worked for me. |

Currently there are some annoying errors causing the servers to stop processing blocks. I made some small changes to the database and see it that will help. This list makes interesting reading. The top qora whale holds 388 million qora. I think it is just a rounding error. We need Bter to sell at fair 500 satoshi  In 554 block was fee - 100000 qora! Shocked Be careful. Guy who generate the block is very lucky I hope it is not a bug.
