81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT ESCAPE CENTRAL BANKS NEGATIVE INTEREST RATES on: March 29, 2016, 09:42:35 PM
Suggestions are welcomed for what the v2.0 wallet should look like GUI wise.

Know a website or blog or other piece of software that looks great and makes a user's experience more pleasant? Point me at it please.

(Simple and slick beats complex flashery IMO.)
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT ESCAPE CENTRAL BANKS NEGATIVE INTEREST RATES on: March 29, 2016, 09:39:43 PM
I suggested on Slack some kind of direct in-wallet BCT/BCR conversion facilty a-la NXT:  (or Shapeshift)

Bunch of ways we could do this, I'll leave that to the dev...  Grin

A great side-benefit of this is that credit-scoring code could also snoop buyers BTC balances and history...  Cool

If anyone wants to test my Electrum bidbot, it can be found here:
https://github.com/thelonecrouton/bcrbidbot

This version is very basic, some upgrades in the works but lets see if this one behaves in the wild first. Instructions in the README.

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT P2P LOANS: Secure Lending Over the Internet on: March 28, 2016, 11:38:43 PM
Any chance we can do a test run?

I'd like to borrow $100  Grin

Sure, coming in v2.0. After we've got your mates at Big Al's Debtor Reform Ltd. on board.  Grin

Revised logo?

Don't make me animate it. Tongue
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT - 2.0 COMING SOON! P2P BLOCKCHAIN LENDING AND FINANCE on: March 28, 2016, 11:00:41 PM
What's with the 'blockchain' thing?

Explain that to your uncle, vs lending over the internet.

UNCLE: What's this 'blockchain' malarkey?
NEPHEW: It means they can't screw you over.

Not that hard. Wink

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: March 28, 2016, 10:24:02 PM
Agree about the title, current one is a bit informationally lacking...

"BITCREDIT - P2P BLOCKCHAIN LENDING AND FINANCE - UPDATE TO 0.30.19.8 - BITCREDIT 2.0 COMING SOON!"

Hooking up with a real world kneecapping outfit never occurred to me...  Cheesy

OP does need a revamp, we'll see what we can come up with for v2.0 if not before.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: March 28, 2016, 01:16:16 AM
They have been 'basenodes' for a while now, although 'bank' still appears in the sourcecode in a bunch of places but that word shouldn't be end-user-visible anywhere.

Nomenclature remains fluid at this point. There was talk in Slack today about possibly rebranding from 'Bitcredit' to something else to accompany the launch of v2.0... suggestions welcome.  Smiley
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: March 27, 2016, 07:21:24 PM
You guys need to email bitcreditscc ASAP and send your BTC to the BCR bidding address 1BCRbid2i3wbgqrKtgLGem6ZchcfYbnhNu - AFAIK 4 million BCR have already been sold @ 350 sats to 2 investors and another has earmarked a million.

I agree with Coins101 that all 6 mil. in the hands of one individual would not have been ideal, but a bunch of people who have been following development wanted in so the dev said first come first served... Smiley

Maybe PM/email LucD88 for a Slack invite too, all of the discussion and dev chat happens there nowadays.

I do not think there are bots trading Dash.

What do you think exchange APIs are for? Ah, those Bittrex servers can take a hammering... Cheesy

92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: February 28, 2016, 04:11:40 PM
Entire BCR POW network currently humming along on about one lightbulbs worth of power, appx. 2753 GWatts/sec less than BTC.*

*number made up but is probably in the right ballpark.   Wink
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: February 28, 2016, 03:33:21 PM
I had a few hours to fudge my consolidation script into my BCR Granny Wallet GUI:

.
... running alongside the Core QT client here but works with just the daemon as well...
.

I've limited the GUI version to consolidating 5 inputs per button click for damage control purposes if anyone else tests it and it runs amok, but it can be made full-auto. Even as it is it's 100x faster than using coin control in the Core QT client. It spews a bunch of scary hex crap out into the results window currently but that can be tidied up/hidden.

Gave the blockchain a bit of a pounding in testing, seems to be working OK:
http://www.bitcredit.work:3001/address/6DbDRAdXHKVKiVKhRNE1cC6Dbyq4MKK8TQ

Got 15 more BN's worth of inputs to go, plus a bunch in other wallets, should have some more BN-50k lumps available shortly.

Will see about posting it somewhere after I've tested it a bit more, hopefully it will help other BN ops and miners to get their thousands of small inputs together to make new BNs. It should work fine for people on Windows but dog knows...
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: February 07, 2016, 06:30:45 PM

Thanks dragos, I'm now synced up with http://www.bitcredit.work:3001/  Smiley
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: January 24, 2016, 04:42:20 PM
edit : WRT pic, 36kW per tx isn't just Proof Of Waste, it's fundamentally ugly. Those numbers should make any engineer cry.

Add in the upcoming Pay Through The Teeth Fees (if you want the Wasters to actually process your damn transaction before you grow old and die waiting) and BTC has as much chance of being adopted as a useful global currency as I do of winning Miss World.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT OPTIONAL UPDATE AVAILABLE 0.30.19.8 on: January 24, 2016, 04:24:27 PM

Not sure how feasible and secure , but i intend to have version 0.40.x use less that 2 watts per transaction. So i have 11 months to think on it.

Is there a way to mine solo with GPU and how?

Get the miner and point it at your daemon. There is windows and source version.

I did it but nothing happen. Miner started but there is no mining.
conf:
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
rpcport=8776
server=1
listen=1
deamon=1
genproclimit=0

miner:
host=127.0.0.1
port=8776
rpcuser=
rpcpass=
# Number of threads requesting work from the server in parallel
getwork_threads=3
submit_threads=3
OpenCL devices to run miner on
devices=0
platform=0

are you sure device 0 is your GPU? Also your GPU must have memory > 1 GB

Yes it is r9 290 x.

with device 0 i have only this  :

PTSHasher:0-0 initialized on device: Hawaii type: 4, vendor: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., LE: 1
Sun Jan 24 17:17:30 2016 Miner Starts - 127.0.0.1:8776

with device 1 it is my CPU:

D:\Crypto\Coins\pts-getwork>miner.exe ptspool.conf
PTSHasher:0-1 initialized on device: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU           X5660  @ 2.80GHz type: 2, vendor: GenuineIntel, LE: 1

Sun Jan 24 17:19:44 2016 Miner Starts - 127.0.0.1:8776

Wallet mined to needs 50001+ BCR in one address and have that address in miningkeys.dat?

(Apologies if that's changed, I let dragos mine on my BNs. Smiley)

Currently about 40% of the available money supply tied up in infrastructure. I've got another few to set up next week too.

Someone's firing up a pile and a half of Basenodes.  Shocked

Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Digital Currency Exchange Cryptsy

"Heist," ahahaha. Anyone who leaves money in a crypto exchange (or a dark market) is daft.

Latest build is the best in a long time for me WRT staying synced.

Also been using dragos' BN hosting service for a while for most of my BNs - painless and professional, can recommend. Smiley
