Reading the replies of members affected- my heart aches for you. I don't own Coldkeys, but even though I wasn't affected personally, I'm mourning for those who were. The collectibles space is like a small family and we will suffer collectively.

And for some reason, in all of this, I would still find myself buying a Playtoshi. Like Cryptogreatdane said above, these Coldkeys will always be collectible items. You're still the owner of something limited and relatively unknown, and that may be the silver lining.

84  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Kialara Labyrinth #14 (RUBY Balls) on: January 12, 2023, 02:05:23 AM
Interesting lore associated with this.

>Max originally intended on creating 250 Ruby Labyrinth. He ordered 100 ruby bearings to start with but unfortunately the bearings didn't turn out as red as he liked. With the 100 ruby bearings he created 20 Ruby Labyrinths, numbered 01/250 - 20/250.

I can see the perfectionism at play here, looking at the pictures of this piece, the Ruby color is slightly lighter than the red he opted for in the insignias and texts. This is exactly why the Kialaras are so sought after, Max holds himself to an ideal far above the rest. Good luck with your sale!

> donate them to their children's play area
I think this would actually be a really cool way to "burn" the base sets that people turn in for the special cards, and it would be interesting to see how many of those old cards given to children show back up over the years, maybe they could be given an extra stamp to identify them, and a good lamination.
I dont hate this idea. How bout putting a card inside one book to be found when checked out. One card inside one book. Like a buried treasure
Why not go to a public library/hospital /women's shelter near you and donate them to their children's play area? The children might be inspired to become artists by the works of art on the cards.

This sounds like Cardsmiths philanthropy  Cheesy A few of these posts have activated my almonds. I easily have 400-500 extra base cards, my thought is similar to the above posts but with a minor spin. Once a week, I'm going to place a card somewhere... anywhere... My first thought was to take card #9 Bitcoin Crunch and put it somewhere in my local grocery store's cereal isle. Or for instance take #47 Whitepaper and place it in a library. Or #23 Lambo and hide it inside a showroom car at a dealership... The ideas are endless. And if I only do this once a week, it will end up being years and years of Cardsmiths easter eggs placed around my state. You never know who will find them, and the rabbit hole it may take them down. I may even take pictures and post them to the thread of my placement every now and again.

93  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Trading Cards: Orange Pill in a Pack on: January 02, 2023, 06:50:48 PM
I received the card packs today. I see in the OP that the Pacific Bitcoin themed card pack was only available at the conference... However, I ordered two base packs and for some reason I also received the PB themed pack as well, a nice little surprise I guess! Below I posted the rarest cards (#1, #5, #21) from the three packs I opened, but I also wanted to share some more in this album as I didn't want to messy the thread. https://postimg.cc/gallery/7qQXN25

In the 30 cards, my favorites by far are the Bitcoin themed cards (obviously) and the backs of the cards have a lot of great knowledge jam packed. The BTC theme cards really hit the important points. However, I am not a fan of the advertisement cards, I understand why, but in three packs opened I received six 'resource' cards. For reference, the thickness on the base cards are half as thick as a base card from Cardsmiths. And side by side the holos on the PB cards have less sheen.

I don't feel I'll invest in more packs, but all in all it's another novel collectible and another opportunity to orange pill more people!
