Fantastic news Steamboat.
You and your team are a credit, with some of the best customer service around. I was part of this GB as well as the Zefir/Burnin effort. All three of these turned out as well as could be expected with the childlike antics of Avalon. Just have a look at all the other GB's that fell apart. Keep up the hardware effort, a lot of us would buy again.

Does it mean you are going to reconsider MOQ of 8 boards? I'd like to put my refund towards paying for two bitfury boards.
i reconsidered and decided not to do a MOQ. I also decided to include assembled stacking cables this time, you'll get the needed length and qty for your boards. (Too many did forget them last time) As for 70% trade-ins i don't think i can offer them this time. If you consider that ~4 boards can be traded in for 1 new, and only parts from one old board are used in that order. Also my accountant tells me I am barely in the green figures at the moment. My margin for generosity is therefore slim. (But i will crunch the numbers again to see if it i can do it) The sale is planned to start either late today or tomorrow.I will buy the chips and assemble them as fast as i can, it will take a minimum! of 2 weeks. This is great news, I will probably grab a few boards, will check after work. |

You have to be an idiot to give Avalon any more money. I am pulling trigger and requesting a refund for all assembly orders as well. After the chip refunds, I hope Steamboat goes after Avalon, full on, for compensation.

Screw these Avalon guys. I would have liked to receive my bitburners, they are giving up and just refunding all orders, leaving all the hardware buyers and vendors with crap. At the same time pushing GEN 2 chips, you would have to be crazy to order from them again. I am pulling the trigger and requesting a refund, I suggest the rest do as well.

There is no specific deadline in Avalon's literature, ie Sept. newsletter, the online refund form has no deadline either. Zefir has a Wed. deadline for his group buy only.
My ignore list is growing.

I would love to have some information on Zefirs batch 3,4,5 orders. Since they were to be shipped out at end of June start of July, which customs, freight, manufacturing or any other entity has them in hijacked limbo. They must be somewhere.
