Yeah, I usually mint several times a day because I was mining mint during the POW phase, so I was receiving coins in "chunks" multiple times a day, each of which was part of a different block. Then I was using the mint multipool for a while so that added some more chunks in. I have enough of them that I basically mint a few times a day, every day.
Thats sweet. Our network has more people stacking their coins than any other POS CLone. That means we are more secure to an attack.

Is your PoS mechanism as same as the PeerCoin's?
We use coinage i think PPC don't use coin age correct me if i am wrong. With BC you get stake after few hours in PPC after 90days. PPC still have high block reward 92.89 PPC now due to other system while BC is fully mined out and POS secure only network. I need do some reserch now PPC changed something now in their POS PPC still have POW part as far i see on coinwarz BC 1st turned of POW because rat4 wanted show that pure POS can be secure itself. PPC Sunny King differs, he preffer Hybrid for security. POS will small reward is not secure enough. Yeah Blackcoin is unique and does it securely. I believe BC devs also fixed mintcoin security issue the same way. No, they dont. They attacked the network, and attack is different than to help. Low Reward POS is less secure than high reward POS and Rat4 is aware of it. Hybrid is much more secure. Unless you have MNT problems which got rid of PoW afterwards. No one can explain to me if it affects other hybrid PoW/PoS coins. We where talking about PPC which is far superior in security than BC, or any other Pure POS. Maybe one POS coin is planning merging POW with a big one, an hybrid POS/POW that recicle energy.. Thats a game changer, pure POS is less secure than PPC.

One can mint every day if there were deposits made every day in the last 20 days.
Right.. i have a considerable amount of mint i mine in POW phase, and they all have diferent coinage.

welcome aboard! if you have some ideas for the future development don'T hesitate to post them! people here in the thread are really friendly!
Thanks! I believe that the mint-qt needs some improvements, e.g.: - Implement a small symbol in the bottom left showing when the wallet is "minting", when rolling the cursor over, you can see status, e.g. that you are not minting because your coins are not "old" enough, and then show the age of your youngest coin. - Safty: when wallet is unlocked and mininting, then should the user be asked for the password again if sending mints. - The logo in the wallet, should be more appealing (simple), perhaps just a mint-leave or the mint logo. - Better installer, manually coping the conf file is not ideal. - Window 64bit support. - Mint blockchain bootstrap as torrent. This is not meant as a criticize to mint-qt, it works great and is stable, just suggesting for new features. bootstrap as torrent is cool..

Seems to have gone a little quiet with the marketing side of things.
Anyone care to update how things are traveling with Merchants, plans etc?
It's hard watching others fly, when MINT has so much to offer. I realise long term is the big goal, but would be nice to see some action.
Not anymore. Something is going on. Huge buys just happened. At sell prices... Someone is digging into this coin quick and buying up. My question is what don't I know. Not a typical pump tactic to buy at current levels... So is something about to happen that will spike this coin? I don't think there is going to be any news that is going to spike this coin up in the short term, and that's fine... More importantly, with Mintcoin being added to exchanges like the Vault of Satoshi and Moolah, the groundwork is being laid for people outside of the current crypto community to be able to buy it directly with fiat, without having to buy Bitcoin first. I have a feeling that is going to be important later this year Im selling every two days 30.000 mint at vault of satoshi. You guys do the same, keep that market liquid.

Hi guys. Im new here. Got interested in BTC a few months ago. Made some money off arbitrage. Now over the weekend got interested BC, as a potential long term investment. Bought my first BC's when it was 60k-80k . Lost some money, but then reinvested when it was 17k. Now holding them to sell 50% off to make the investment back. Greetz from the netherlands I really dont see it above 40K in the near future. Theres also opportunity on ECC, FLT, MINT. Check those out. Explain why? because he is a troll who missed the early bc train and is using this thread to dry his tears with. Its rather pathetic I bought BC at 6500, i have nothing now. not worried. Do you get paid to troll this thread? It's literally all you do... mental health issues much Yes. a TV network asked me to cover this history. and alternative international internet tv. and im a gonzo reporter, cant report without getiing inside the news.

Because bussiness here is
buying low, selling hihg
Mint is low with the same features that BC and is more secure because people will stack more (more interest, more minting)
never buy on an uptrend. buy always when something has potential and nodoby has noticed.

One problem that has come up recently in BTC circles is that merchants who accept a coin but then immediately exchange it, are actually creating sell pressure rather than helping the coin price. Any ideas on how mint could work around this?
I'm a merchant and like the idea of making 20% interest on money coming in or that I'm holding. I believe this gives a little more incentive to hold onto the coins rather than immediately exchange them. Sometimes I can do alot better than 20% profit with items I buy/ sell but Mintcoin is alot better than holding Cash or just keeping money in a regular banking account. So there is at least some incentive to hold coins When price is stable and slowly going up, merchants will hold. That also needs BTC price gets stable

Mintcoin has better long term prospect, thats all im saying.
So why is its total buy support dropping to nothing on MP? There is now 16 BTC to buy support down to 1 satoshi for MINT. There is almost nothing happening with that coin. You're so blinded by bias if you think MINT has better long term prospect than BC right now. Because people are buying FLT and ECC and White to speculate! you can get 4x on FLT or ECC, and thats imposible with BC now. Yes, and every single one of those coins, have their speculation based from BC's success so far. While all of those may 4x in the short term, I'm more confident that BC will 4x in the long run. Because here's something the first mover gets that the others do not : long term (and proactive) investors. NO, every single of those coin haver their speculation based on the history of ALTs, if you look like a pump and dump, even if you are not. YOU ARE.
