theres a big lightning storm here today (australia) ... just had a power surge and i think it fried one of my asic miners ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Sorry for your loss... try plugging it in again, maybe it got supercharged Here in the UK we get voltage drop from time to time which is also dangerous. Having a surge protector is good practice. thanks popshot ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) its a gridseed that was affected it wont seem to stay running.. starts to mine then stops??? might have to lay it down to sleep 'sigh' ... 330kh/s down now... oh well at least i got my ROI from it

Question to DMD Dev Team There is a nomination going on for Proof of Honor Award on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855130.0I would like to nominate DMD Dev Team for all efforts put into DMD, but the problem is that only an individual can get the award. So question is if Dev Team has a suggestion for one of its team members that can be nominated representing the whole DMD Dev Team, or if Dev Team thinks that no nomination should be done due to that all efforts is a team effort. That's really nice of you hallared. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It's definitely a team effort, nothing would be possible if the persistance of us all weren't there. Looking at that voting list, I can only say that the sucess of the projects could not be atributed only to one individual, there were whole teams and communities that built their position. The people who were nominated are the representatives of the respected projects. Feel free to nominate anyone. hi team it was a hard one to pick but i put cryptonit down for my vote... however the whole dev team should be honoured and proud of what u all have done I have also nominated Cryptonit. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855130.msg9620181#msg9620181This is of course directed to the whole Dev Team for all your efforts. Thank you! As there is a requirement of 15 nominations to become a voting candidate, I propose everyone who has not yet nominated to do so. It’s only a week left of the nomination period. Nominate Cryptonit and the Dev Team now! we have 5 votes for cryptonit so far... come on dmd team lets get 10 more votes... we need to get more publicity for dmd coin it could increase the interest of other people and maybe increase the value of your diamonds ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) .... and this is an easy way to do it

The people who were nominated are the representatives of the respected projects. To be honest if our Diamond logo was somewhere on that list that would be enough for any of us, as all we do, we do it collectively for the coin. We would not look at it from vanity prespective, as we feel we have much more to do before claiming any real recognition. Feel free to nominate anyone. hi team it was a hard one to pick but i put cryptonit down for my vote... however the whole dev team should be honoured and proud of what u all have done

developers, when you pamper us with a new version of the purse? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) and please tell me how to make a purse did not create new addresses when the withdrawal of coins? (This feature will be built into a new wallet?) we working now on noblecoin transformation to run our wallet code with their coin specs and the next step is enable merged mining for both coins which will be the core of DMD-Groestl Merged mining Family until this is done no code changes at DMD wallet will happen (it runs rockstable now and there is no need to hurry) later on we will start working on new Wallet UI and sort the feedback we got and select what of them we can implement in new wallet additional to the new features we already have planed hi mate thought i would reiterate what i suggested a while back about putting a "total minted coin" tab or section into the new wallet interface... since u mention a wallet upgrade ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ... as u can tell im keen to see it

things are changing down under this is what the Australian government has done
September 30, 2014 Leave a Reply
In August, the Australian Tax Office (ATO) released a guidance paper on the tax treatment of crypto-currencies. The ATO stated that the supply of bitcoin is taxable for goods and services tax (GST) purposes. We wrote previously about the steps we’re taking to understand their guidance.
Here’s what we have determined. The ATO’s Guidance
When you buy bitcoin in Australia, the price quoted to you will include 10% GST, which the seller must pay to the ATO.
When you convert bitcoin to Australian dollars, the guidance is more complicated. If you are not a GST-registered business, GST will not apply when you place a sell order.
However, if you are a GST-registered business you may need to collect the GST as part of your sales. How this affects you.
Buying bitcoin
If you buy bitcoin at CoinJar, you will be charged 10% GST as of October 3. We’ll generate a tax invoice showing you how much GST you paid.
Selling bitcoin
If you are a customer selling bitcoin for personal use, there will be no change. If you’re selling bitcoin on behalf of a GST registered business, you will be prompted to register your GST status at point of sale. When you submit a sell order, we will ask you to confirm GST collection. CoinJar will generate a recipient created tax invoice (RCTI) on your behalf for every sell order with GST applied.
At this point, these changes affect CoinJar Filler only. Other CoinJar products, such as the recently launched CoinJar Swipe, will not be affected by this determination. The Future of Bitcoin in Australia
We’ve worked hard to confirm these changes with the ATO and integrate them into our existing products.
We are updating the system in preparation for this as of midnight tonight. The system will state that all prices include GST, but the price will not increase. We will be applying the 10% charge from 12am October 3. We will cover GST liability on buy orders placed between 12AM October 1 to 12AM October 3.
In many ways the guidance has bought clarity to the position of bitcoin users in Australia. However, we don’t believe the ATO’s guidelines are ideal for bitcoin in this country. We believe in a simpler financial system, and we will continue work with the ATO to help them discover a fairer position.

(i understand about the whole 4.5mil limit ) i dont really know if its mine to offer, as in what happens with the legal side, could i get sued if they make a lose? i have alot of spare time and dont mined doing the leg work to promote dmd to the physical world

thought i would just ask... what kind of return are we to expect from the cloud mining
theoretical its 70% if the BTC earnings of our cloudmining hashrates converted into DMD and split between the DMD cloudmining shareholders practical we cant estimate how much DMD that will be because it not only deepend on BTC value but also DMD value u as early adoper did risc invest into this without available statistics of DMD cloudmining performance and that is the reason why u all at start of october get free reinvest shares from all september cloudmining earnings this give u the headstart in oktober that a early adopter deserves ok cool thanks, im looking forward to seeing how this plays out
