81  Other / Meta / Trial Subforum for Ponzi's/HYIP on: January 15, 2015, 01:56:02 PM
Okay so in the past couple of weeks the gambling forum has turned to shit.

I have to go through 3 pages just to find something that isn't a Ponzi...
Before someone says "oh only stupid people fall for Ponzi's etc...".

It's not the fact that I fall for Ponzi/HYIP schemes, it's the fact that I don't want to see them at all.
It would be a different story if I could hide/filter threads I don't want to see but I can't.

The amount of schemes that have popped up in the past week alone is a complete joke.
82  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Ponzi Control Idea: Keep bumping legit threads from your fav. sites! on: January 15, 2015, 04:31:28 AM
The problem is, a lot of things need subforums that would die in a couple of months when they went out of style again. But I totally agree.

That's still what the point of having trial boards are for it's not that difficult to have one tested for a while before deciding if it deserves to keep operating.

Yeah this shit is getting out of hand. I don't even use the gambling forum anymore because its 90% ponzi.. probably all the same people running a scam too
83  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Ponzi Control Idea: Keep bumping legit threads from your fav. sites! on: January 15, 2015, 02:52:56 AM
The no of Ponzi's r on the rise bro.!! there is no way of stopping it..!! the only way I see it is by making a sub category in Gambling only for ponzis.!!
I suggested this in "One Thread Per Site Only".

It's not the fact that I fall for ponzis, it's the fact that I don't want to fucking see them at all. We need a sub forum

So much this.

The gambling section here feels like browsing the spam folder of your mail box lately. So much freaking garbage.

This is the perfect way to describe it. I feel overwhelmed just looking at the first page lol. It would be a lot different if you had the ability to hide threads you don't want to see...  But you can't

Blatant signature campaign post.

Not really talking about fighting off trolls and shitposts.  The Gambling forum is a huge clusterfuck.
I'm also not saying the mods are shitty, it would just be nice if it WASN'T such a clusterfuck.
It's hard to find anything and your "report to moderator" suggestion doesn't really help. Way to point out the obvious.

I'm not in any argument and also, I don't want to fill the thread with this discussion. See Meta. Some people suggested about cloud mining sub forum but there were posts with good reasons disagreeing this.

Report to moderator doesn't do much but it will decrease the spam/shill-posts.

It would be understandable if I could hide topics I don't want to see. This is why Ponzis need their own subforum. It's not the fact that I fall for ponzis, it's the fact that I don't want to fucking see them at all. They need their own forum.  There's like 100 of them on just the first page alone... I used to run forums bigger than this. Don't act like this is something normal lol it's complete laziness

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cloud Tokens Ponzi on: January 14, 2015, 07:06:25 AM
This should be in the altcoin section, not in gambling.

This sounds interesting.

Basically, it works like a traditional ponzi but you get credited Cloud Tokens per BTC invested. It should be possible to keep reinvesting and earn more Cloud Tokens if that's the case.

Basically, this is your first post ever in the gambling section when 99% of them are in the altcoin section. You're probably an alt of the OP.

You getting your ponzi sig campaign posts in bro?
87  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: January 13, 2015, 12:24:39 PM
As far as I know there are no current issues with deposits or withdrawals.

Except I made a 0.09 cashout last night and they sent it with no fee??? 10 hours and still no confirm lol
88  Economy / Gambling / Re: One thread per site ONLY on: January 11, 2015, 01:06:18 PM
On a side note: This forum needs more moderation and subforums. Some sites have like 5 threads in here.  Roll Eyes

Just report that post by clicking Report to moderator situated at the bottom-right corner of the post.

HYIP and other Ponzis need their own subforum.

I don't think so. Roll Eyes

Thread updated: 1/11/15

My Chrome version is Version 39.0.2171.95 m.
What might cause the problem, the bot seems to work but it isn't able to initiate any bets.

I'll donate a handsome amount if I can get this to work.

Sent a PM.
90  Economy / Gambling / Re: What if you knew how to make 0.001 per hour off Dice? on: January 09, 2015, 12:10:51 PM
It's really not that difficult to achieve. The real question is: is it worth it?
91  Economy / Gambling / Re: One thread per site ONLY on: January 09, 2015, 12:08:09 PM
Hi,

We just posted a thread about our new gambling site. By mistake it was posted on the Games & Rounds section. Since it couldn't be deleted we posted the new one in the Gambling section and edited the other post to [deleted], could it have been posted on both? The first post got more attention than the new one, but to avoid to be flagged as spam we did this. Is it possible to move it instead?

Thanks a lot!

All gambling sites should be in games and rounds.

Isn't Games & Rounds for gambling site giveaways, contests, forum games, etc? Not literally games lol.

On a side note: This forum needs more moderation and subforums. Some sites have like 5 threads in here.  Roll Eyes

HYIP and other Ponzis need their own subforum.

I got a weird problem when i want to use This Bot (Update: 15th Dec)

I use Google Chrome Version 39.0.2171.95 with AdBlocker

Try disabling AdBlocker

Hi,
I have the same problem never experienced with previous version of bot.
I used Google Chrom Versión 39.0.2171.95 m without adblock.
I tryed to reload page and restart bot 10 times, doesn't help.
Can I find somewhere the previous version code?

May be error log would help?

Any suggestions how to fix my problem?

The Highcharts, series, and Mixed content errors are normal.
Usually the problem with the GUI not loading is caused by jQuery-UI not initializing in time.
A quick refresh and reinject usually solves this for me.
I actually have this problem occasionally too, I'll make it so it doesnt initialize until jQuery-UI is started.
93  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: To Anyone That Doubted That A Faucet Could Make Money on: January 06, 2015, 03:34:49 PM
Obviously it doesn't make much if you are charging people 1BTC to join a faucet network lol....
That's a fucking joke. Especially considering the fact that it would only benefit you to expand your network free of cost.

Also, why is this in the Gambling forum? Apparently there must be some risk involved joining your network.

Your "Why Choose Us?" comparison is extremely misleading.
1. Since when does starting a faucet cost $2500+? You can pretty much start one for free these days minus keeping the faucet wet. There are a plethora of free scripts available.
2. Since when does it cost $1500+ to develop a faucet? With the correct APIs you can pretty much fully develop a faucet script in less than an hour.
3. Since when does hosting cost $250+ a year? Even 10 years ago, I've never paid more than $50 a year for good hosting, especially for a small traffic site like a faucet. Managed hosting is also pretty cheap these days, so your other comparisons are BS.
4. Why would you need fraud protection for a faucet? lol.

95  Economy / Gambling / Re: [HELP] PRIMEDICE ACCOUNT BANNNED/MUTED on: January 06, 2015, 03:06:32 PM
I'm pretty positive as long as you can log in you can cashout AND deposit. It doesn't matter if you got muted. As long as you can access your account you can make withdrawal.

Now what you wouldn't be able to do is abuse and transfer money between accounts, which I'm assuming is the real issue here.

96  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Joel's VanityGen GUI Release (SOURCE CODE) on: January 05, 2015, 12:37:07 AM
hi,

first of all, great to see selfmade coders.
and even greater to see you using your
skills for BTC-related techs.

regarding your "open-sourcing":
don't provide the source-code within an archive.
would you open an archive somebody unknown posted somewhere?? PLEASE DON'T.
it's very risky and you never know what really is inside the .zip, .rar, etc.

push your source-code to: https://www.github.com
create your repository which allows you proper chronological
listing of code-updates (commits) within a very
simple view and also giving other devs (contributors) the chance
to suggest code-improvisations/updates (pull requests) which
get implemented (merged) after reviewing/verifying the changes.
it's defenitely worth a try.

cheers!
bitsta

What's wrong with archives? lol. It's the files inside you should worry about.

99  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: So what happens when the gift card you bought was illegally purchased ? on: January 04, 2015, 10:06:33 PM
So if I buy $2000 of Amazon gift cards...buy merchandise and it gets reversed cause the card ended up being bought with stolen CC, no one comes after me? That seems really unrealistic.

From Amazons website:

4. Fraud.
We will have the right to close customer accounts and bill alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained Gift Card is redeemed and/or used to make purchases on Amazon.com or any of its affiliated websites set forth above.
100  Economy / Gambling / Re: CoinXerox Bitcoin Casino - Free Bitcoins - Provably Fair - HTML5 on: January 03, 2015, 05:45:37 PM
What is your policy on bug reports. I was looking on the site but could not find any info.

If you find any bug, please report it here, or you can email us to support@coinXerox.com (the link is at the page footer). We welcome any report.

I was implying what is the policy on bug bounties. As in bounty sizes.
Is it beneficial for the finder to report them, or is better just to abuse them. There's so many casinos lately who screw over the person who found the weakness.

I want to know the same too. Smiley

Currently we have no such bug report policy. If you know some major security bug which we don't, we would like to know it - absolutely.

Although how much costs such report and how to determine that a report is valuable for us? Do you have any previous experiences, do you already collaborate with some other game sites?

Not having a policy in place already shows you have no long term interest in keeping your operations. Bug reports and bounties go hand in hand as they make the experience more enjoyable for users and on critical ones keep you or your clients from loosing money.

So when determining bug bounties.
a) If it is a minor bug (such as bad front-end coding, cosmetic errors) you need to evaluate if removing the bug makes it more enjoyable for the users and keeps them playing and even returning. A broken site is not tempting for the users.
b) On critical bugs the bounty should be determined about the severity of the bug. If a user is capable of beating one of your games and withdrawing funds using those funds. How much would you loose, and how much are you willing to spend to ensure it wont happen.
c) Another critical bug where one player is capable of removing other users funds, betting using their balance or other malicious activities. How much is your users security worth?

When deciding you need to understand that not everyone is interested in reporting the issue, there is plenty of people who will abuse any found weakness.

On cosmetical weaknesses offering 0.01 or around it, maybe more is fine i believe.
But on critical weaknesses offering something like 0.01 will get your weaknesses sold to other users who are not so kind.
Ive seen bounties go from 0.5-10btc on critical ones but it is dependent on the severity.

That is usually the way it goes.

As for the last part, i have done basic testing for various sites. (Mostly softcore testing)

Some proof of concepts go for like $20,000+.
Personally I report serious bugs without expecting a bounty (unless it's a very large company) because that's what any decent person in the ITsec field would do. ITsec isn't about being a black hat, it's about increasing cyber security as a whole.
