81  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help me find sites or telegrams to track fixed matches on: May 09, 2024, 06:54:47 AM
There is no such thing as fixed match, anyone that promotes such site or platforms for you is with the aim is f scamming you if their ask for fees before they give you those matches.
There are fixed matches. This is evident from the fact that you will see some club managers that are alleged for match fixing and they will be punished. But match fixing is not common like scammers are using it to scam people. That is where you are right. Anyone that is telling you of match fixing is only telling you lies if he tells you that you can pay money to know the matches and what the outcome would be. It is just a scam.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 06:48:49 AM
I remember a guy in my department that had no option than to run back home because he lost money to gambling. He told me that it was the worst time of his life. His father gave him money for school fees but he wanted to do big boy and think of doubling it fast. He went to a gambling site and use all his school fee to gamble at ones on a match. But unfortunately he lost all and had no option than to run back home to tell his parent what happened. Some people did something like this in the past and lost.
83  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining on a laptop in 2024 on: May 09, 2024, 06:30:50 AM
If you want to mine bitcoin, you will need to buy ASIC. This machine is very power and generated higher hash rates. Buy the new ones that produces more hash rates starting from S19 or higher version. You need cheap electricity. The ASIC consume electricity a lot. You will need to calculate the electricity the machine will be consuming before buying it at all. You can not mine bitcoin with GPU not to talk of CPU.

84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 08, 2024, 09:33:01 PM
I'd tell him to keep his expectations low and accept the losses because returning once more to place more bets will always favor the casinos.
You can see that the person that brought this thread is confusing people. On the topic title, it says that his friend is losing but on what he posted, he said his friend is winning small. Which one should we believe? Is it winning small or losing?

A gambler should know that all money he is using to gamble can all be lost. People should not look for money through gambling and he should not chase losses either.
85  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do they always attack the newbies? on: May 08, 2024, 09:25:20 AM
What make you think that you are no more a newbie? This topic shows how newbie you are. If you grow to full or senior member, you will understand.

This is a forum, we learn from each other. Some newbies will come and make some wrong posts and they will be corrected. Accept correction. But newbies are more tackled than older members, just also accept that and grow.

If you want to get better replies, show some examples of what you are talking about. I mean a screen shot or quote or link of the posts that you are talking about.
86  Other / Meta / Re: Are illegal services using impersonation allowed? on: May 08, 2024, 09:16:36 AM
By law all mixers including conjoin are indirectly banned because they support no KYC.
Which law? Of which country?
I am referring to United States

Money transmitter laws and virtual currency
If you operate a cryptocurrency-related business, most regulators will view your business as a money transmitter. As such, your business is subject to the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and must register for a money transmitter license. This applies in all states, except Montana.

With how mixers are operating, they can not be given licence in the United States and the way they operate make it to be like mixers are indirectly banned.

I am not saying mixers are illegal but the government will want all to be in their control and find all ways possible that what are not in their control to be banned. They are making the laws.
87  Other / Meta / Re: Are illegal services using impersonation allowed? on: May 08, 2024, 07:43:32 AM
You better read up on how he provides services before you say things like that.
If we should follow the laws, Wasabi wallet supposed to also be banned on this forum but it was not banned. By law all mixers including conjoin are indirectly banned because they support no KYC. Wasabi was allowed but the government recently went after the conjoin and it is about to cease operation. Those KYC payment processors like the MasterCard offered by some sites, bad people are conveniently using them. The dirtiest money are in banks. The governments failed to stop online criminals because the criminals are successfully using what that are regulated. I do not see any problem for some people because of restrictions to use no KYC credit cards. We are in a stupid world, the government supposed to ban knives, cutlasses because they can be used to kill. They can also ban cars, trains because they do have accidents especially cars. With what that I see, that service is not going to be banned on this forum. I was late to see it, because my country made life difficult for us many months ago when all our cards are restricted to make foreign transactions, all in the name of fighting inflation we have no freedom.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 08, 2024, 07:11:44 AM
Agreed , these kids does not know what they are doing(at least do not know what awaits for them if they continue) so we as adults must do the necessary thing in which reporting the gambling business that catering these kids and of course those kids that for sure their parents does not know what they are doing away from home.
parents believe they are studying and not this way.
In all parts of the world, there is either illegal gambling or underage gambling restriction. I think because of how gambling is in their country, the laws are taking for granted which makes underage to gamble. But we do not know their age, they can be 18 or 19 years which are not underage because in most countries these ages are legal to gamble. The OP did not know their age and he should not just conclude. But if they see underage gambling, it is better to report to gambling regulators in the country about the casino or betting shop.
89  Other / Meta / Re: Are illegal services using impersonation allowed? on: May 08, 2024, 06:50:54 AM
This is not a mixer. There are services that are not mixers but that requires no KYC that are left on this forum. Even Jambler was not banned before and it has nothing to do with KYC. There is still a campaign on this forum that you can use the site for exchanging coins anonymously even with tor or VPN but not banned because it does not go against the rules of this forum. Mixers are the threat and it is about converting bitcoin to bitcoin on those centralized mixers that were banned on this forum.
90  Other / Meta / Re: Are no-KYC services banned? on: May 08, 2024, 01:28:22 AM
The problem is not in "kycfree" or "only-Tor", with a 99% probability the thread was moved to the archive because the interface allows you to exchange "BTC for BTC".
I use the onion site again and wanted to use it to exchange bitcoin for bitcoin and I saw that you are right. The site would be said to be a mixer because of that. An exchange should be a platform that one coin can be exchanged to another and not the same coin. If it is the same coin it is a mixer.
91  Other / Meta / Re: Are no-KYC services banned? on: May 07, 2024, 11:37:45 PM
In addition they also offers a mixing service indirectly, even as they claims not to be a mixer, any service which offers to take your dirty coins and give you a clean one can also be considered a mixer which such is part of the service they offer.
This will be the main reason. Also it is using Tor only because I noticed that the exchange has no clearnet? If clearnet is there and no mention of dirty and clean, it would have been allowed. I will be expecting the exchange to come in new way.
92  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How active can a newbie be daily? on: May 07, 2024, 09:10:00 PM
If a newbie wants to be active and grow in merit and rank, he should be reading more instead of thinking about posting. He should be reading what good posters are posting and the way they are posting it.

You can decide not to post in a day and you may decide to post. But you will need to make your post have good quality. Before that can happen you have a lot to learn first.
93  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: May 07, 2024, 05:36:38 PM
For a large number of users, LN is too complicated to use. At the same time, I am talking about those who are not Bitcoin beginners, but also those with crypto experience. If there is no significant change, I don't see that LN can gain significant popularity. That's why I don't see any solid reasons to implement and emphasize support for Lighting.
Lightning network is not complicated. Probably you have not used it before is the reason you think it is complicated. Or because of the previous wallets that support it in a complicated way. If the bitcoin mempool is not congested try Phoenix, Zeus, Aqua or Muun and see how simple the wallets will open a channel for.

I have been studying lightning wallets for few weeks ago and I made this topic for it Lists of open-source bitcoin lightning wallets. You can see the ones I said are good for beginners. Just let the mempool become less congested and try any of it.

You are right; the commission costs situation seems quite unstable, especially after the halving period. Currently, the situation has normalized, but this will only last until the next wave of multiple transactions. In this sense, the Bitcoin Lightning Network appears more attractive. Many CEXs are already organizing its acceptance. Monitoring also includes exchange services for various directions with Bitcoin LN.
I can see lightning network on exchanges like Binance, OKX, BitMart. Coinbase recently is also now supporting lightning network. There are still many other exchanges that has it. If you want me to name them, I can name them here but I do not think there is any need for that.

I am not going to lie. I am one of those users who failed to use LN even when it has been around for a  long time. In most cases, i just end up paying the high Bitcoin fees. Anyway. it'd a good one for those who know how to use it.
Why not just try it with small amount of bitcoin? You will like it. Try and read through my topic by clicking on the link I have on this post. It is not good for tmhuge amount of money but it is good for small amount.
94  Economy / Goods / Re: damaged paper wallet for sale on: May 07, 2024, 10:01:57 AM
I am guessing this will only be a scam. The damage somehow look fresh and you may knowingly damage it. Who knows if the paper wallet is funded or not. This can be a scam and I will tell everyone not to buy this scam.

You can message DaveF instead who is trustworthy on this forum for wallet recovery. You will give him certain percentage if he recovers it for you. This is better than inviting someone who you will scam.
95  Other / Meta / Re: question on posting pictures on: May 07, 2024, 07:44:18 AM
I have used both Talkimg and Imgbb before. If it is about posting of images on this forum, it is better you go for Talkimg which is better than Imgbb. I do encounter problem while posting image on this forum while using Imgbb. A friend of mine called me like 3 days ago with the same problem, I told him to use Talkimg which is easier.
96  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope I'm doing the right thing. on: May 06, 2024, 05:56:55 PM
If you do not want to risk, you do not need to invest in bitcoin. Know that bitcoin price can rise or fall. But know that bitcoin price has more chances to increase, I am expecting $100000 next but before this can happen might take time. It is good not to invest than the price to fall and sell and later see the price higher than the price that you bought it. But if you want to hold for a long time, why not just buy than to be afraid.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between females and males, who are more resistant to gambling losses?  on: May 06, 2024, 05:05:23 PM
are the male gender, when a man becomes addicted to gambling, the guy starts spending all his salary, then goes into a lot of debt and then becomes a thief and consequently gets involved with drugs and dies or gets arrested for stealing or killing someone while robbed this person. while women, when they become addicted, spend their entire salary, go into a lot of debt and then start prostitution and get involved in drugs and die from drug overdoses. women hurt themselves more when they are addicted, while men hurt other people more when they are addicted
Women do not hurt themselves more if addicted to gambling. Let us say generally that gambling is not good for but men and women. Men are more prone to gamble and that makes men more prone to gambling addiction. But generally, gambling is not good. You can see men that committed suicide because of gambling addiction and you have seen men that they are more addicted. I will take men instead. Both men and women are hurting themselves if they are addicted to gambling addiction but men gamble more than women and that makes them more vulnerable to gambling addiction.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you disguise on your real gambling lifestyle just to help a friend/relative? on: May 06, 2024, 03:24:54 PM
We are not a gambler if we do not experience negative traits, and we don't want to experience these negative traits, so it's just ok to share advice on these negative traits that your friends don't want to experience.

It's ok to be honest it's your friend and your friend or relative will be glad that you shared your experience so they will not get astray, sharing is caring especially for people you care for.
That is just it, it is good to be honest. One thing that the OP is experiencing that I noticed is that he is losing more than winning and that is enough to tell friends also to know that they should be careful while gambling and that they should have discipline for them not to lose too much while gambling. There should be no reason to lie and thinking you are helping when you are losing which is a lesson.
99  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin advertisements are a bit outdated on: May 06, 2024, 12:50:30 PM
I used to say "1 BTC = 1 BTC", until I realized that's like saying "1 USD = 1 USD", and it's not true. That's why USD-prices are usually related to a year: a dollar in 1960 was worth a lot more than a dollar now. And a Bitcoin in 2010 was worth a lot less than a Bitcoin now.
The only reason I told people that 1 BTC = 1 BTC is that bitcoin price do increase in price, and also that newbies believe that having bitcoin is like they are trading. I will differentiate between trading and holding bitcoin where there is no liquidation of asset. That 1 BTC is 1 BTC but the price will determine if they will gain it lose but no asset liquidation.

OP, I understand your plight but let us not be blinded by the love for Bitcoin. The advert may not go down well with you, but it's still cautious advice that is not peculiar to Bitcoin investment alone but all other investments as well, and above all, it doesn't hurt in a way.
This is not directly about investment, it more like bitcoin can collapse. It applies to investing it, trading it, using it for P2P transactions. It is about what ever you are using bitcoin for. That bitcoin is still experimental and should be used for the amount of money that you can afford to lose. Bitcoin security is far better than bank security. If something like this can be said to bitcoin, that means everything in life that men invested are still experimental because bitcoin has the highest security.
100  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin advertisements are a bit outdated on: May 05, 2024, 03:57:59 PM
Bitcoin is not an investment, it's a currency.
None is going to call USD or EURO is an investment.
The paper note of local currencies are called currency. Currency is the representation of money. Currency has no value but its representation has the value. Just like the paper has no value but the amount it represents is the values. Bitcoin is a currency because it has digital representation and that is why it is called a digital currency. Bitcoin is a currency.  But bitcoin is not just a currency but also an asset. Bitcoin is a commodity. Bitcoin is subject to volatile. The price of bitcoin increase over time and may later decrease. Bitcoin has been a hedge against inflation in long term. Some people and organizations like Microstrategy and retail investors are holding it and expect more adoption and more people to buy it for its amrketcap and its price to continue to increase just like gold. Because of this bitcoin is also an investment.
