And in addition:
- When XC's Bitcointalk thread reaches 1000 pages, one fortunate community member will win a TOR Stick signed by Dan!
- Suggestions as to how to pick the winner are welcome.
Or we could use XChat to enter by sending some sort of judge a message... I think you've got it. On page 1000, an XChat address and pubkey will be posted. Whoever I receive a message from first wins the TOR Stick! I was thinking more along the lines of enter with XChat, then randomly chosen from the pool. It's probably going to be like 3 in the morning around here when the thread hit 1000 pages...

***The XC Daily Update***
- XChat is now on mainnet. - XChat and private transactions are now merged into a single app (ahead of schedule as this was due for Rev 2.5). - Freedom from coercive authorities can now be successfully exercised whenever you see fit. ]And in addition: - When XC's Bitcointalk thread reaches 1000 pages, one fortunate community member will win a TOR Stick signed by Dan! - Suggestions as to how to pick the winner are welcome. Well done Dan and the team, and early too As forTOR stick, you could do it the old fashioned way, draw names out of the hat, or you could let the computer decide, assign a number to each member and the call a function like math.random(); Or we could use XChat to enter by sending some sort of judge a message...

They team have now LOST the trust of many investors. We were not expecting just a testnet client of Rev2. Things are clearly broken. Did the team communicate anything. FUCK NO...just released an 'exe' to a random IP address which isnt even Rev2. How fucking professional is that.
I feel sorry for when east coast USA wakes up and have to sell with whats left in the market. Its going to be a bloodbath.
You're like that fabled Japanese soldier stranded on a remote island, still fighting WWII 20 years later. FUD team looks like they've got the prices they wanted and moved on, but you didn't get the memo. I like that. I feel quite jealous of the EC USA because when they wake up, like I did a few hours ago, they will see the price of their "investment" wrecked, the shitstorm in this forum, and just like me they will think they have time-travelled to Christmas day and immediately buy up what is left of all the +-170k dumps... People get soooo excited for a reality shifting paradigm and then when they just get a nice new wallet-app with enhanced code and a logo change then they flip, dump, and run off to chase a VRC-train which has probably already left the station... Thanks for all the hard work team. Development, Fud-control, PR, everyone is performing as well or better than can be expected. Don't forget the silence from the rational supporters is due to the fact that we are to busy buying up all this cheap XC to come work on Fud-control...

When trying to setup an xnode, in the instuctions it says "Setup a separate wallet for this & transfer 550 XC’s to the wallet"
How do I setup a separate wallet on the same computer?
Are you wanting to run PoS and an Xnode from the same computer? If so I don't think it can be done at least not to my knowledge because both wallets would need to be using the same port. If you want to swap between one or the other you can tell the wallet x11coin-qt.exe to use another folder for data by adding -datadir=C:\XCData to a bat file. x11coin-qt.exe -datadir=C:\XCData It can be any location that is just an example. This is faq-worthy info

I really like the name XC
Like X men..... No - what does the X stand for there!?
X = unknown / xtraordinary
I think its a great name.
XC = Xceptionally Creative! The X-men are Professor Xavier's men. But I agree, I've always liked the name.

Basically if your first concern is the day-price, then you don't believe in the architecture like the rest of us, and so you can just be lumped in with the fudders, trolls, darkfans etc. Some people saw what this project is going to achieve, full anon, secure and instant(ish) transfer of wealth, and that is what started off the boom in price. We have drawn almost unprecedented attention for a new coin, with at multiple times what looks like high level conspiracy against XC. The godlike perception of the dev around here is caused by a general low level of respect for developers in crypto, itself caused by constant failures and/or the inability to adapt/control and grow... This time we all found a coin, with top-level design, and a dev who has never given us a legitimate cause for complaint and so naturally everyone is over the moon. If you are only here because you saw ??% price-growth in a day, then you should probably get out... it may be quite a bumpy ride. Anon money is bigger than people are admitting right now. They say "country-coin, PoS, anon, it's just a new popular flavour". That's bull, anon money changes everything. All around the world people joke about how the only certain things in life are tax and death, well with anon transfers that won't necessarily be the case. Right now you can be a druglord, warlord, Hitler, whatever you want... Your biggest problems will likely be finding someone to provide funding/launder your profits. Governments aroung the world are saying "Bitcoin, we aren't banning it, but we are watching it." Damn straight they are watching it - because anon money will just change the game. stop running, if you see a big sell-wall climb right in. B.t.w got my first PoS yesterday (+-8 days staking). Thanks dev.

I've been stuck since PoW stopped.. Last night I deleted peers.dat and the blockchain and started again. It stalled and needed restarting every now and then, but now I am finally past the 21000's with just 650 or so blocks to go...

I can't get past block 21170... Been stuck there trying to sync for at least 12 hours.

That logo is too close to being a swastika for it to be safe. You must never give the haters ammo. Xnode Currency is probably my favourite so far. X11Coin is fine too though. What we have here is a fantastic coin (probably the best) but very little done on the promotion/community leadership side... An Ultracoin is worth 3c but that community was driven to 100 votes on coinpayment. The only problems I see now are the inlflux of trolls around here and the lack of quick confirmations since POS started. Dev is not god, stop thinking the man is here to save the world or something, but I think he will sort the slow confirmation thing out. Maybe giving people a bit more incentive to stake more is the answer...
I think quick confirms is what a lot of people love about crypto. I have to pay rent with fiat now and that is going to take days to go through, that is what we want to get away from. Even BTC is too slow these days...

Mine doesn't seem to want to get past 99.3% sync since last night.

XyloCarp
It's the scientific name for coconuts and stuff... It already has a meme of sorts, just search Xylocarp, so it comes with plenty imagery for logos etc... The home school girl in Mean Girls can spell it for the spelling B (i think).. Then XC makes sense and we can just carry on calling it XC

Hi all, long-time silent supporter here.
Is this the confirmation you want for the giveaway? **DELETED
I have one small problem that I think I should mention... I've been mining UTC for a few weeks now... I have mined a good few coins but I can't cashout from the pool as I have not been able to make the client stop crashing at startup. I am on Windows 7 ultimate. I have tried everything I can think of except compiling it myself... I was waiting for the update thinking that this issue would surely be on the fixlist, but the new version (1.0.3 i think) crashes just the same as the old.
This guy called zeded seemed to have had the same problem (from about page 52) and this was the response he got before it appears he buggered of to mine Cinni:
Quote from: zeded on February 01, 2014, 08:23:25 PM how do i open the wallet please other alt coin wallets work fine. why is this like this?
"Cheesy you're my favorite! 17th time of asking the same question...."
Like zeded, all other wallets have worked fine for me. I will probably just load the wallet on on extra machine at some point, but obviously not everyone has that luxury.
Thanks for the effort everyone. LD
