81  Economy / Auctions / Re: Domain+ website - CryptoNinja.co on: December 16, 2021, 06:52:19 AM
Is the theme responsive? What kind of price range are you looking for? Doesn't have many backlinks, so that could be part of the reason traffic has dried up some..
82  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-12-15] Analysts expect Bitcoin trend change after Fed lays out its roadmap on: December 16, 2021, 12:24:29 AM
The markets were up today after the Fed confirmed at least three rate hikes and a wind-down of its bond purchasing policy in 2022. Several pseudonymous Twitter users shared some interesting graphs and opinions...

Original article on CoinTelegraph

Some points from the article...

Quote
There is a solid base of support near $46,500

A more detailed analysis of the recent price action was offered by options trader and pseudonymous Twitter user John Wick, who posted the following chart highlighting the bullish and bearish reversals that have occurred over the past two weeks.

According to Wick, the recent price action from BTC has established “a solid base support,” which is represented by the yellow horizontal line at $46,588, which is structurally “called a stage 1 base.”

Trader and pseudonymous Twitter user Crypto Ed_NL likewise sees a bounce coming in the future and he posted the following chart outlining how the price action could play out in the next few weeks.

Crypto Ed_NL said,
“Expectations for the coming hours: 1 more leg down pre FOMC into the green boxes, a bounce after FOMC, continuation of the bull run.”

Echoes of September’s BTC price action

A final bit of perspective was offered by crypto investor and pseudonymous Twitter user Crypto Bull God, who posted the following chart comparing the current price action for BTC with how it performed in September before going on a bullish breakout.

The analyst said,
“Been staring at this the past few days. Not saying this will happen, but I certainly see a similarity now as compared to back in Sept. of this year."
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Question about Unmineable.. on: December 12, 2021, 06:47:42 AM
I recently started using Unmineable to earn SHIB by mining on a few extra PC's I have laying around. As of now, the minimum payout for SHIB on the site is 1,500,000. The high number makes sense when you consider the cost of SHIB right now, but obviously by running only on PC's and not GPU's it's going to take a really long time to reach the 1.5 million mark. I'm okay with that if sometime down the line (should SHIB rise to say $0.005 or even $0.01) they lower the minimum payout amount. Has anyone ever seen Unmineable do such a thing before? If I start mining and choose to receive an extremely low trading coin (like SHIB) and that coin eventually goes up, will Unmineable drop the minimum payout amount?

My concern is, lets say I run the miner on a few PCs for like 6 months and manage to earn 100,000 SHIB. Then, SHIB magically soars to $0.005 and suddenly (because of it's price) I'm not earning as much per day as I am right now, and yet I'm still way off from the 1.5 million. However, my 100k SHIB at $0.005 is now worth $500 (way more than what 1.5 million SHIB converts to right now)... If this were to happen do you think Unmineable would drop the minimum payout threshold for SHIB, or keep it the same? If there is no chance they ever drop the minimum payout then I might as well stop mining with them unless I get a GPU...
84  Other / Off-topic / Re: US PayPal Users. Remember Jan 1st 2022 they will report G&S over $600 a year on: December 12, 2021, 06:36:32 AM
If I'm not mistaken, it won't be just PayPal doing this, either. If you make more than $600 selling something on sites like eBay or Mercari - you'll get a 1099-K as well. Keep this in mind US residents, the new year will be here before we know it!
85  Other / Off-topic / Re: When to Quit? on: December 12, 2021, 06:29:14 AM
That's a pretty vague question and I guess the answer would be to weigh the potential to continue learning and developing versus the costs, dangers, and myopia which can come with stubborn perseverance. If it's something that is really costly (say for instance, you are wanting to become a professional poker player, but you aren't very good at poker) then it's probably not going to take very many nights of going broke before you're ready to give it up. If it's something that isn't costly or dangerous to you (maybe you're trying to learn a new computer language and write a program) then why not just try.. and try.. and keep trying. I don't think anyone can give a specific number here because there's a lot to consider. What is it you are thinking about quitting exactly? If it's crypto and you're losing lots of money or something, then you need to really consider how those costs are effecting your livelihood, family..etc.
86  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's better in the end of each period? Two spaces or one? on: December 12, 2021, 06:21:41 AM
I agree that two spaces looks pretty dumb and you're getting away from the grammar everyone is taught. Here in America we're taught to use one space after each word, comma or period. I'm also no English major or grammatical expert, but I'd say it's better (and more proper) to just use one space.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are they doing this? on: December 09, 2021, 09:36:34 AM
Anyone can probably get listed on some of those sites if they're willing to pay a few bucks. For what they're making by getting listed on them, even if it cost them $250 USD to get listed and exposure on some ICO or crowdsale website it's nothing. They can also run a little airdrop or bounty or something and boom, now they're getting a bunch of free promotion. Spend a little money on that and make it go viral and it's a wrap. Sad that people do this kind of stuff, and if you're really looking to invest in things like crowdsales or ICOs it's probably best to find some sites, research them almost like you would a coin, and only use the ones you trust most.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things will always work out differently on: December 09, 2021, 09:27:41 AM
I couldn't agree more. There was that first dip around November 25th and many of the analysts I was reading were talking about the market just correcting itself, and things were still bullish, and one guy compared that dip to one from a previous year when the price jumped right back up. Then the market took it's second big dive on like November 28th and suddenly some of the same analysts are second guessing themselves while others are still trying to compare this chart to some other one from a previous year. Honestly, I'm starting to get a little sick of it lol.. I know history repeats itself and indicators do have lots of accuracy, but in the end you just never know what the market is going to do. At this point, in some of the articles I read analysts now say it could be like this at least into early 2022 (just basically consolidation between like $44k and $52k) and very few are still saying the bulls could come back (these are FXStreet articles, Cointelegraph articles, Twitter users..etc). Of course, things can happen when you least expect them. Look at NFL games - everyone bets on Tom Brady to cover the spread against the worst team in the league and that will be one of the few weekends out of the year his team won't cover  Grin
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need list of free ico listing sites for my project on: December 09, 2021, 08:51:50 AM
Have you tried searching Google? There are several of them and a few quick searches should keep you busy for a bit. If you have already searched, then first let us know which sites you've already submitted into.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Is This SHIB Giveaway Genuine? on: December 09, 2021, 08:49:33 AM
Definitely looks like a scam to me and I would stay far away. As previously pointed out, this domain was literally just registered and I don't see any big account (like the Shiba Inu twitter, or Shiba Inu News twitter) posting anything about it. I wouldn't trust it myself..
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats wrong with btc on: December 09, 2021, 08:38:35 AM
Personally, I don't think other tokens and coins are going to stop following BTC anytime soon. Yes, Bitcoin has remained a bit consolidated and some others have made moves recently, but it's not like all these tokens are setting new all time highs while BTC isn't moving much. I'm looking at CMC right now and BTC is in the red over the last 24 %, so are just about all the other tokens there except a few, which are up like 1-2%..You know the market is volatile and once Bitcoin starts shooting up again we'll see these other altcoins follow again. I wouldn't go giving up BTC as an indicator just yet, but I would also never make my main crypto strategy one based solely off other tokens/coins following Bitcoins path.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great 6-part Bitcoin documentary from 2021📺📽 on: December 09, 2021, 08:33:00 AM
Thanks for sharing, I'd love to watch it (always looking for new documentaries, especially those about crypto), but can't. I'm here in the US and get the same error as @Fesatmas - This video cannot be viewed from your current location.

Oh well..
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using computers at work for mining - what if? on: December 09, 2021, 03:08:15 AM
As others have mentioned, not only could you get fired for this, your boss could also sue you. It's not worth it - especially for what a normal computer could mine in a day. If anything, tell your boss if he wants to do it you'll set everything up and manage it, then the two of you can split the profit 50/50  Grin

But seriously, it's not worth it for what you would probably make and the risk involved...
94  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is it with mining in a Tesla? on: December 09, 2021, 03:05:32 AM
I've heard about this before (mining with a Tesla).. There are Tesla's everywhere here in the States, but if I owned one I don't think I'd use it for mining. I can't help but wonder how much BTC a Tesla could mine in a day, I wouldn't think it could be much. Not to mention, it would definitely add stress to your battery. Whether it can actually be done or not, I don't really know. But, if I were serious about mining I'd do it in a much more contained area where I could really make some profit off it..
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kindly suggest metaverse tokens which could lead the future on: December 07, 2021, 07:51:38 AM
Right now I personally hold and like two tokens related to Metaverse... First in Enjin (ENJ) which really took off back in February and I think will be pretty big in the Metaverse stuff. Second is Chromia (CHR) which is getting more into the Metaverse stuff (they already do a lot with dApps and gaming). I like both of these and if you're looking into Metaverse related tokens do some research on them. I believe both projects are moving in the right direction..
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good metaverse tokens. on: December 07, 2021, 07:43:28 AM
CHR (chromia) is getting into the metaverse stuff and might be worth doing some research on. Decentraland has picked up a bunch of steam this year and might be a good hold as well. My concern with Decentraland is that it's gone up so much these past few months and I feel a bit like I missed the train on that one which is why I don't personally have any. ENJ (Enjin) is also another metaverse token that's been gaining popularity.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to penalize airdrop hunters? on: December 07, 2021, 07:38:15 AM
No, airdrop hunters definitely shouldn't be penalized. It sucks that some people want to do what's required, get their tokens, and then dump/swap them, but it isn't a reason not to give them any. If the airdrop advertises that you can do a set of tasks and be rewarded in tokens for doing so, then you should be rewarded in tokens if you complete all of them as required. I've done my fair share of airdrops over the years, and so many are scams to do this type of thing just makes the whole airdrop idea even worse. Come up with another way to prevent/stop people from dumping the coins as soon as they get them - don't penalize everyone because a few people will swap the tokens right away. Just my two cents...
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still worth to invest Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2021, 08:30:41 AM
If you can afford to risk the money and understand the market is volatile, it's definitely still worth buying. The dip that happened this evening is actually a great buying opportunity if you believe in cryptocurrency. Just remember, don't put in more than you're willing to use and be ready to ride the waves. People say crypto is extremely volatile for a reason. If you can handle it, $20k in BTC right now could certainly reap some nice profits once it starts going back up!
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: shorting coin on: December 02, 2021, 09:28:55 PM
I think the only way to short cryptos in the US is by margin trading or futures trading (both I know are available on Kucoin), but both of these are extremely risky and not a good option for beginners. If you margin trade and you're wrong, you'll get liquidated which means you will lose your entire account.
100  Other / Off-topic / Re: Create a website on: December 02, 2021, 10:08:55 AM
Your best bet is to probably view the source code of the website. Look at the directories for the CSS file it's calling and things of that nature. If the URL has something like "wp-content" in it then it's going to be using Wordpress (which something like 90% of websites are running these days).. You can also look for plugin or theme URLs in the source code..for example something like this:
<link href="/plugins/system/jce/css/content.css?aa754b1f19c7df490be4b958cf085e7c" rel="stylesheet" />

By seeing the line of code above I could go search for "jce plugin" and would find that this is a plugin used in Joomla...Therefor, I now know the site is using Joomla.

There are several ways to tell what CMS or template a website is using by looking at the source code. But keep in mind, not all websites use these. If the site was custom created using something like HTML5, CSS, and Javascipt then you won't be able to duplicate it exactly.
