All of a sudden my wallet on osx doesnt want to launch.
It's been since pre hard fork.
I hoped the update will solve this.
Can anyone please help me.
More info please. OSX version, wallet version that worked? OSX 10.10.5 GUI wallet 1.0.6 So you had a working 1.0.6 on OSX 10.10.5 and now you have 1.0.10 GUI on OSX 10.10.5 and it is not working? Can you provide your .log file? |

But the private key he hopefully will have saved somewhere.
Under Windows it also sometimes takes quite long until the wallet starts.
Yes, sometimes it is quite long because GUI wallet is a full XDN network node. |

We are extremely busy with the latest XDN merged minng tests, we are observing FCN network, everything seems to be fine after the HF, FantomCoin hashrate is about 800kh/s now and rising.
After finishing all hardforks and updates, we will start to implement merged mining support in open source pools and miners, and I want to mark, that everyone is more than welcomed to help us and to be ahead of us. Because we will be extremely busy with XDN and FCN in near time.I believe that open source merged mining pool developer can have a great experience and benefit.

Guys, I opened a ticket at Poloniex because their XDN wallet is temporarly disabled. I asked them what is the issue. Their answer: Hi x y,
Unfortunately the XDN network seems to be very weak at the moment and we are currently trying to find a working full node to synchronise wallet and transactions. Should you know a reliable full XDN node we would appreciate knowing the IP and port.

XDN hashrate is weak, that is true, that is why we are implementing merged mining. To empower the network, to make XDN much more secure. But in terms of XDN network nodes and XDN seed nodes, everything is all alright. XDN seed nodes are working properly all the time. We have old fashioned Bitcoin DNS style of seed nodes, we never had a problem with that: "seed.digitalnote.org:42080", "seed.ducknote.org:42080" But we should update it with the real IP addresses: 64.34.219.46:42080 66.172.27.42:42080 66.172.27.6:42080 76.74.170.207:42080 76.74.219.163:42080 And if anyone has ever been connected to XDN he should have his own peer list. I can tell you XDN-project has no connection with minergate = bytecoin = hitbtc = freewallet = changelly = cointelegraph = chainradar etc and never had. We are only using bytecoin/cryptonote source code (and you know, we made lots of new stuff).
And another thing - we need much more XDN and FCN mining pools based on open source software.
Was mostly interested in the bolded part, but your response re: more pools made me think of a more specific question - why is it that only minergate is going to support merge mining? There is no open source software for merge-mining is there? How can you ask for more mining pools based on open source software if none exists? Are you planning to release open source merge mining pool software?as far as i know, currently, there is no open source pool that can do mm. there is a pool with FCN support (not mm, single FCN mining) https://github.com/fancoder/cryptonote-universal-pool and i believe this pool can be updated to mm. Also there is a software called SoloMiner for CryptoNote mm https://github.com/amphibia/SoloMiner but it should be updated to FCN 2.0. So now you can do a common FCN mining on both pool or solo. After all HF and updates, we are planning to update cryptonote-universal-pool to mm support Also we may touch SoloMiner and update it too. |

In my opinion the merge mining announcement of FCN by the XDN devs may be by the same people who once pushed for XMR merge mined with BCN (and thankfully failed). FCN was merged mined with BCN but largely abandoned. FCN and XDN (almost all mined just like BCN) mining rewards will be tiny but that is not the point. The point is that (besides an attempt to pump FCN and later XDN) this may be an attempt to increase Minergate hash rate (since only that pool offers this FCN merge mining). Minergate is the first mining pool implemented mm for FCN long time ago, i think it is obvious that they are implementing it now when FCN updated. We can't comment minergate = bytecoin = hitbtc = freewallet = changelly = cointelegraph = chainradar etc connection, because we simply don't know. We have contacted minergate about upcoming hf few times. i think im done with xdn.. im going to hold a couple thou just in case but after 2 years of waiting very little has come out of it.
I'm in a similar position and I think i have to agree. And the reason is an update or your wish of hype? |

Hello, We are observing FCN 2.0. It is a very important hardfork and everything should be great, but we must be prepared. Merged mining in XDN will be implemented as soon as we will verify all possible issues by observing a real FCN blockchain and making local XDN tests. Our attention is with FCN this week, while we are testing XDN. I think we will release source code of XDN MM update on Monday, and HF will be next week too. Pools will need to update their daemons and possibly update their pool software. Exchanges will only need to update to the latest XDN version. No, I try to load a .wallet file, exactly as it was in previous version of the simplewallet, example below.
simplewallet.exe --wallet-file c:\FCN\fcn.wallet --password 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-0
red is wrong. Do the same with the .keys file: simplewallet.exe --wallet-file c:\FCN\fcn.keys --password 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-0To open your old wallet with the new fantomcoin version: 1. Copy your wallet .keys file in the same folder with the FCN simplewallet 2.
