81  Economy / Goods / Re: Got Bitcoins? T-Shirts First 5 Free!!! on: March 22, 2015, 12:46:50 PM
To claim the free tshirts do I have to preorder the tshirts which have a price? Or can I simple get a free tshirt?
If its free then I would like to claim one! Will pay for the shipping.
All you have to do to get a free shirt is tell me what you want on the front (The already chosen design or a custom one ) and your bitcoin address so I can make your QR code Smiley
I would like to get a free tshirt (only if i find the shipping cost to be reasonable).
Please quote me a price for shipping to Indian
Thanks
$12.50 Shipping to india

I would also like to get a free t-shirt if the shipping will be done in INDIA
Free of cost or thebitcoinquiz.com is going to pay for it

Not sure what exactly this means
Sending two T-shirts will also cost 12.5$ so we can divide the cost equally

83  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there any RISK FREE way to invest your Bitcoins? on: March 22, 2015, 10:41:22 AM
Hey,
i Think you can invest in the dice games it will give you sure returns but also fluctuating returns with very low rate.
Best method to increase the bitcoins without losing them unless the site goes away with your coins which is not possible cause they are earning profits.

87  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help my transaction stuck for 10 days on: March 22, 2015, 08:35:08 AM
I had made a tx with blockchain.info wallet and it don't confirm in 10 days (it is not double spend, paying 1 satoshi fee) and I can't use the coins now. What can I do?
It is seen in many cases that the tx with 0 fee also gets conf but in 2-3 days or cancelled if not get any conf after 3 days.
But your case is exceptionally different cause you paid a fee 1 satoshi i don't think you have do to anything or you can do anything except watching it
i know it will defiantly get the conf and is not going to cancelled at any cost so Wait and Watch.

In my opinion you should goto the landofbitcoin.com and try all the faucet one by one and choose one best suits to you and you can also join the signature campaign available for newbies or sell a thing to get started may be gift card , Recharge coupon etc or simply buy some bitcoins from a exchange or try the site purse.io and purchase someone item to get your first coins.

89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many confirmations until i can re-send the money on: March 22, 2015, 08:20:18 AM
I think only one confirmation is needed before sending but sometimes or in many cases you need tx in your account to send the money again.

does it mean using a wallet in android phone still do not safe from hacking though use mycelium? but how can it be?
Yes. Android phones also have viruses that can be installed via 3rd party APK or a custom closed sourced rom.
92  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best operative system? on: March 21, 2015, 07:48:11 AM
The choice of OS shouldn't be just by security but by usability. If you are familiar with windows, then go for it. Many people don't recommend windows due to the viruses that exist. However, it is worth noting that linux also has their own vulnerabilities and if you take security precautions, no matter what OS you use, you will be safe.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoS coins on: March 21, 2015, 07:44:30 AM
You can mine on POS coins on any computer even raspberry pi but the return are usually very low. Most of the POS coins are pump and dumps which makes you lose money.
94  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many confirmations until i can re-send the money on: March 21, 2015, 07:43:06 AM
You don't need any confirmation, but double spend risk is higher
So, even your client allow you to re-send your money without any confiramtion, it's better wait for a confirmation

But, some people always said 6 confirmation is necessary Sad
If the transaction do not have any competing transactions on the network and is well propagated with enough fees, the risk of double spending should be negligible. 6 confirmations prevents most attacks but not 51% attacks, you can't be 100% safe with it.

You can try this. 500+ faucets on one place.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=997041.0
Faucets are not worth anyone's time, even newbies. They payout really low amounts and have a cool down period. Typing captcha all day aren't going to earn you anything.
96  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help on: March 21, 2015, 07:40:16 AM
solo mining bitcoin is not possible anymore because of the difficulty increase. if you want to do mining, you still can mine altcoins which have lower difficulty.
Alt coins are highly volatile and most of them are actually pump and dump coins. The chances of profit is very small. If its profitable, the difficulty would already be quite high.
97  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Woke up today and lost all my Bitcoins ! on: March 21, 2015, 07:37:53 AM
Additionally, it is probably a good idea to spread your btc balance across a few addresses instead of storing them all in one address. If for some reason, that private key was compromised, you wouldn't have all your eggs in one basket. Spreads the risk out at least a little bit. Of course that doesn't matter if they have access to the wallet.
this is a good suggestion. it is exactly what i currently am doing. i have one paper wallet and one offline electrum wallet which hold my btc investments. and i also am using blockchain.info for my in hand wallet which i can use anytime i want and it holds small amount.
After those hacking incidents, you are still holding it in blockchain.info? It is pretty insecure considering how serious they take their security for. Not to mention those frequent downtimes.
98  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitvisitor sugestions on: March 21, 2015, 07:36:44 AM
I know that Bitvisitor is a useful site that helps newbies to earn their first coins very fast.

But IMHO it has a problem: It creates too much dust.

My idea is simple: When a new address starts to Visit sites, pay every 60 uBTC.
But if that address collects 1mBTC, It could be a good idea to give payments weekly.

I know that a new user wants to have a fast payment, but older users will prefer less dust.
people usually don't trust random websites to keep their hard earned BTC with the risk of them being dried. if you are worried about dust you can sign up in an exchange website and give that BTC address instead and don't worry about dust.
Exchanges have high withdrawals limit. Some faucets have offchain coinbase integration or microwallet integrations so newbies wont have to worry about dust.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Victims of Mt Gox Incident Where Are They Now on: March 19, 2015, 10:01:00 AM
being the largest exchange back then, there should be a lot of them. However, there is close to 0% chance of getting it back. It would be useless whining about it.
100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A potentially very stupid question.... on: March 19, 2015, 09:57:32 AM
Bitcoin is not deflationary, it's inflationary, currently at a rate of 3600 new coins every day, this value halves every 4 years or so, so eventually around 2140 there will be no more new coins.

Well, yes. OK, that point was cleared up. But my original question was why not increase the rewards over time instead of decreasing as long as the end limit remains the same.

It'd give late adopters a reason to opt in?
If only 1 satoshi is generated from the start, today, only 2 satoshi would be in each block. The fees would be hard to calculate and there would be less people using it due to the scarcity of Bitcoins.
