Dogecoin was wolong's pump and dump.
Simple as that. It drew in via bottom rung of the internet crowd all the kids who wanted to be millionaires.
Doge coin has always been a joke and all the serious efforts people directly at it has been severely misplaced.
Accept the fact that it's a joke no matter how many popular votes you win. When it comes time to deliver, they hit snags at the most important junctures and cuts their own throat (booting out jackson over merge mining 'controversy' by uninformed crowd).

This professional approach instead of just 'give 1000 btc and we may or may not make our project work aka ethereum' is a refreshing change. Not to mention a dev who was public from practically day 1 way back in january of 2014 when every anonymous 17 year olds were making pump and dump coins.
Whoever lasted this long and stuck with his project deserves recognition.

Thanks for the love guys, I appreciate it.. though it's a bit of a popularity contest more than anything else. I just want to say I'll be releasing the Utility & Exclusivity section for NOXT soon and many of those features will be carried over to NOBL (I'll make clear which ones). That will include the ability for Australians (it's a start - since I live here - can then focus on country to country) to pay all their utility bills and taxes using NOBL. That type of service has been offered for no coins other than BTC as far as I'm aware because it's the type that requires public identities, registrations and effort/a *little* out of pocket expenses from the people delivering them. A lot of work just requires a bit of funding which is another reason why NOXT was proposed alongside all these coins raising 500-1000BTC and having free reign to do as they please. My opinion isn't popular. I think a crypto has a bright future. But it's not going to be bitcoin or any others that have a limited number of coins with inevitable extremely high transaction fees.
Not many (ethereum as far as I know is the only ... maybe doge?) That have this economic philosophy. Making a currency a pyramid scheme is as bad as the way things work in fiat. Rich get richer off the backs of new blood.

Still working on Utility but I do want more out ASAP. Just a heads up, the system outlined and proposed allows Australians to legally pay all their bills and taxes using this colored coin.

Sorry I was a bit quiet over the weekend. I did some travel (related to crytpo/altcoins/Noble) and took a breather to talk and think out Noble. That being said I've issued the asset for now on NXT (ID: 6780060819348751348) - NobleNXT (NOXT) is a crowd funded colored coin designed to run on the Noble Network and associated services. Website: https://www.noblemovement.com/noxt. Ignore other two with similar names, they can be considered 'tests' and will not be used. I need to re-confirm with Poloniex the addition to their exchange and want to get out the remainder of the paper as a draft this week. I think the wait will be worth it, but I didn't want to compete with all the attention BTC is getting recently. We do have early interest so far (both in BTC, NOBL and teamwork) which is great. Sounds great! Looking at the asset now. |

Which in this scene is not just a rarity but a aberration. When scammers tried to discredit the charitable water Fund project with scam donations he covered them from his own pocket (not from the pre-mine). And has stood up to the Fudders and attackers at every turn with poise and strength of conviction that I have not seen anywhere else in this scene. He has had multiple chances to cash out and pocket significant amounts (multiple years of his normal income) and has never even taken from the pre-mine to cover his own expenses. The amount of time and effort he has spent making this scene a honorable place is unparalleled. I say unparalleled because he has not been compensated for this time as most if not all of the other nominees have. And that is not even mentioning the Marketplace where he has covered all costs from his own pocket. The Noble Act site is a testament to his vision and his integrity is beyond reproach IMHO. He has even offered to buy back at a loss to those that invested and lost money when the market downturned! I ask you What other DEV has EVER done that!

I think one method that was not considered is a fixed Noble(X)/Noxt ratio where X == time held. Not sure if there really is a fool-proof method to validate the time held. Too much room for abuse I would say. I think at some point the line needs to be drawn. Rofo's proposal makes sense to scale the amount of nobl investment to the btc investment and giving people a fair shot. From what I can see, higher the btc investment, higher the worth of nobl to noxt deal. |
