The Zionists totally control compromised creepy Joe. Their influence seems to be the main obstacle to American democracy.

What about a combination of both???

That makes a lot of sense to me. But I think it would have to be global in scope, like Bitcoin. It would also be something that is only now practical because of things like Bitcoin & the technology behind it, basically the internet & computers. The party is pooped when states impose on citizens & internet to curb the spread of information & communication, the sharing of ideas across the broadest spectrum of topics & communities, & this is usually done with some implicit or explicit reference to a polar opposite extremism, like defending against the capitalist opportunists or the rising threat of communism etc.. Really though, it is the same story everywhere. Authoritarian control of individual thought & expression, the containment of democracy. So if we could develop & somehow trickle down a narrative about how communism vs capitalism is a form of self harm & the electorate reject the antagonism as a false dichotomy, accepting only both or neither, might we diffuse some of this nasty cold-war stuff resurfacing of late?
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies: Don't panic and learn to hold on: June 25, 2022, 07:27:08 PM
Although a newbie to these forums I have spent a few years involving myself with the ups & downs of the Bitcoin story. And what folks young & old have to understand is that its main value is as a form of currency. You may be investing in it as an asset like someone buying the fiat of a nation in recession when its capital is devalued, hoping to resell for a profit after an expected economic revival, but it is still its ability to function as a private & instant currency bypassing prying eyes & grabbing hands that makes it valuable in general.

So then you have to have a think about what a currency is. How revolutionary & game-changing the first forms of minted cash must have been, how many were sceptical, how many refused to participate assuming it was some sort of a scam, how many wars were fought over it. By now, we take it for granted that lots of people do horrible & wonderful things every day in the name of money, but once upon a time it was a concept token.

And now we are witnessing, over the last decade, the emergence of a new currency. A world currency, if you like. Internet money. It is decentralised so no single state or actor has authority over it & many are really frustrated with this.

Through this we can all learn the patience of a wise investor, & only invest in things we can be genuinely interested by Smiley

85  Economy / Economics / Re: UK inflation hits new high of 9.1% as food and energy price surge persists on: June 25, 2022, 06:14:16 PM
The highs of inflation is hitting everyone very badly. The price of energy and food is at record high. if inflation will persist, it will gravely affect economies, the US federal reserve has increases the interest rates. All these are not good signs.

It is a form of covert colonialism. The way it works is through systematically convincing a population that you represent their best interests & are in legitimate control of their material & educational resources. The internet created a revolution in global democracy between like 1990-2015 & it threatened the established autocracy rule over their covert (& overt) colonies. This is why they have used brain draining FUD like 'Brexit' and 'Covid19' to explain away all sorts of invasive oppressions & man-made crises, have invented these 'woke snowflake' identities to stigmatise & undermine the activated millennials & started to move in on the free spread of information under guises like 'hateful content' & 'threats to the international order' etc..

One must always remember that the people with the most power on earth today, in those meetings in those boardrooms, they cut their teeth & came of age in a world without the internet. And that is the misspent youth they are trying to reclaim.

Inflation is the deliberate weakening of a currency by raising the price of goods & services at a government level. It is just another way to keep the masses dispersed.
86  Other / Politics & Society / Re: God smiles when Americans die, 2(now 3) more U.S. mass shootings on: June 25, 2022, 05:12:29 PM
Are you God in the first place to know the mind of God, if he smiles or not?
This is an accusation to the almighty God, Anyways I don't know your kind of God.
It would have make more sense If you retitled these topic and give it something that is very related to the body of your thread.

Many of the big names in the field seem agreed that 'God' which describes the supreme agency is actually 'truth' which makes sense. I think this is why there was all that stuff in monotheism about not worshiping graven images & creating false idols etc., because truth is a principle, an abstract concept even, and has no form. So then 'God' would not look like a man, or anything else, would not have a face to smile with or a specific biology with which to feel peculiar human emotions.

Again it makes sense if you think about it. What could be more powerful or important than truth? By definition, anything against truth has to be falsehood, has to be a lie. So the enemy of God is the Prince of Lies & so on & so forth. Anyway I'm not particularly religious or particularly against religion. I just think that, because it still plays such a central role in global & mainstream culture, getting that bit right is important.

I think holding strongly to a particular ideology without considering the good part of others is kind of extremism.

I hear that, it taps into a primal part of people that doesn't really want to offer solutions or make anything better, but is just looking for a fight. But it doesn't want that all out chaos, it wants to retain some safety as an individual in the thick of it, so camouflages itself with political ideology & jargon.

You know what I would like to see, I would like to see a website or bunch of services with a universal automatic translation feature where users could set a fluency & input typos would be strictly flagged for editing etc.. So like social media for the whole earth to use at the same time. It could be quietly revolutionary. I am sure it is technologically feasible & could be a huge commercial success but might also meet initial resistance based on legal or political concerns, which again could really be just some kind of ancient paranoid prejudice.

It might help with one peculiar problem that all who dream of a more inclusive & better integrated global society still face: the language barrier.

In an ideal World where evil is non-existent, no one owns Anything but Everything is owned by all. You can live wherever you want, take whatever you need or eat whatever you find without wronging anyone... This can only be possible in a world where nothing good is scare, where our imagined needs (or our good wishes) are met in sub seconds, everything is good, no one can cross boundaries to wrong anyone/anything, understanding is abundant, everyone is happy, joy is constant and we exist as One

In such World, it will likely be impossible to feel separate from everyone else because they are Single Consciousness, have thesame mind and feelings.  Individualism could be more of a vice than a virtue. One of its few benefits could be to prevent the extinct of the whole in lawless situation.

That's I think where our difficulties begin & we can become confused about the situation we are in. Because as you say, on one level everyone inhabits one unified reality & at some point maybe in some quantum hyperspace everything is connected. At the same time though this could mean that, in a world where anything is possible, which is the kind of world we might be forgiven for looking for, one source of error might immediately become a general error that all experience & suffer for. So complete chaos or the whole 'lawless situation' might be paradoxically prevented by individualism or distinction. So there seem to be apparently inconsistent elements in play at the same time, so to speak. You could say that while every thing (two words) is different, everything (one word) is the same. And there are lots of mystic & theological schools of thought which deal with this sort of thing at length which I won't try go into here. But might we be making a grave mistake, or even being lead to make a grave mistake, in viewing that communism (collective belonging & identity) & that capitalism (personal distinction & individuality) as being irrevocably incompatible? Might they be like new names for old games?

Some people seem to take these things so seriously & give them such violent passion that it strikes me that something deeper is going on behind the rhetorical theory. To be at once a sovereign individual & a part of a shared identity is the basic situation human beings have always been in & the 'communism vs capitalism' mythic tragedy can be confusing & detrimental to that, especially for the young.

Glad to have connected with a Sr. member here though, thanks Ucy Smiley

During the pandemic lockdown period much of the production inside the renewables industry was halted. During it the price of crude oil, used to make gas and petrol, also came crashing down. That was the point the people managing the crisis would have told their loyals to buy the black stuff. Now they're coming out as against nuclear as well as renewables, not because its environmentally unfriendly, but because it threatens the profits of the 'seven sisters' oligopoly and later OPEC nations.
90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difference Between Bitcoin and Crypto currency on: June 24, 2022, 05:38:49 PM
Cryptocurrency in its strict definition means a currency protected by cryptography. Bitcoin is one such currency, but is importantly also decentralised. Because the Bitcoin can't be hacked from the blockchain, thanks to cryptography, or confiscated by central authority, thanks to decentralisation, it has found significant success as a functional currency. Not all cryptocurrency is decentralised, though, and that is an important reason to distinguish Bitcoin, for example, from others. The emergence of not just a new currency but a new and more technically complex kind of currency is historically significant. People who don't appreciate this and get involved only for a quick profit will probably be the ones who don't have the best time in the Bitcoin market. Because Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency to go anything like mainstream and start finding success that might compare with established mediums of exchange (currencies), and we intuitively seem to know this is a big deal, we speak about Bitcoin and altcoins. Instead of using this more helpful term for cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin, some influencers (like Max Keiser) have taken to using 'crypto' or 'cryptocurrency' to refer to altcoins, but I don't think this is helpful because of the technical definitions. He should maybe stick to using 'shitcoins' for altcoins or crypto other than Bitcoin, but, besides all that ...

The main point has to be the huge historical importance of Bitcoin as a decentralised, potentially universal form of currency that is instant, private and secure. It is a massive deal and if it really wasn't capable of changing the face of money for everyone in the long-term, as most cryptocurrencies aren't, then the big players on Wall St and in the media wouldn't be throwing so much FUD at it.
91  Other / Off-topic / Communism vs capitalism: another divide & conquer strategy? on: June 24, 2022, 03:14:13 PM
Is the narrative of antagonism between historical political forces being honest?

It seems to me, that with the individualist & collectivist impulses understandably operating within us all, that the mythology of communism & capitalism being political ideologies battling it out on the world stage for the soul of humanity is actually a deception.

We all sometimes want to be part of a powerful tribe that distributes its resources fairly, don't we? And at others we all want to retain our private interests & the ability to 'change our mind' if we so choose. Spontaneity & autonomy, loyalty & belonging are all evocative ideals. Because there is a generality to our nature as humans, as well as a specificity to our personality as individuals.

We are all born with an impulse to respond to the needs of the collective, maybe because we understand ourselves to be a part of it. And we all strive to maintain our individualism even to the point of idiosyncrasy or 'going mad'.

So does the story we are told about the forces of communism & capitalism toppling nations & causing wars simply set out to divide us internally? Is it just an update of the old divide & conquer tactics of the ancient imperial mode?
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Facebook free speech is dead it's time we move to non US social networks on: June 24, 2022, 02:17:43 PM
The social media giants come out of a context where freedom of thought & expression were fundamental to the national constitution, and while no longer being the most interesting or perhaps even important factor, that still remains crucial.

I don't think it is about websites owing anyone freedom of speech, or even states owing anyone freedom of speech, but rather that neither social media giant platforms or nation states have any ethical right to take it away from anyone. These sorts of issues were formative to the revolutionary European ideas that gave birth to the 'American way of life'.

The only way organisations and companies can remove the right to free thought & expression is then unethically, by force of coercion & subtle scare tactics, which is something to worry about.

Think about it, what kind of problem-solving intelligence or expression of interesting ideas is not 'free' but instead controlled by the bigger boys? I think we should be very careful about the development of that kind of culture.

Everybody should be able to say what they think, ask questions & voice disagreement without the threat of being taken out to the woods by a secretive circle of old fogies.

Do they have automatic translation for all users though?

And do you think it will go mainstream? I know many have an instinct that mainstream is 'uncool', but I have a feeling that decentralised global communication with automatic translations for all users who choose their fluency could be really important.
94  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Facebook free speech is dead it's time we move to non US social networks on: June 22, 2022, 02:51:55 PM
How about a decentralised social media platform, with integrated support for automatic universal language translation and allowing users to select their fluency preference?

It has to be somewhere in the pipeline as one of the next significant innovations in the social media internet, anyone agree?

Or, better yet, have any technical knowledge about how this might work?

I believe the technology would be workable but that the politics and ethos are still lacking.

It would represent a worldwide contact point for everyone on earth and challenge a lot of the stagnant analogue paradigms seeming to get in our way right now. From the outset, such a site would challenge the power of any state to control the expressed opinions of its citizens. It could also make the process of globalization friendlier to the individual and the indiscriminate social element. It must also create more transparency about which states and territories are against such developments. And provide a more responsively international internet.

Thanks for reading, and have a fine day/night wherever you are!
