81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not even a penny on: April 21, 2024, 03:01:49 PM

So if its empty why all of these adresses can someone explain to me ?
Your wallet.dat file which contains your private keys, public keys, labels, transactions related to your wallet,....
If you do a lot of transactions or not reuse old address, then many addresses will be recorded in the wallet.dat file.

You do not need to full sync bitcoincore and download hundreds of gigabytes to know whether wallet.dat contains a balance or not, and the size of the file or the number of addresses does not mean that you will find a lot of bitcoin in it.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fee $917 on: April 21, 2024, 02:44:51 PM
The average block time is ~9.8 minutes, which means that we may need a longer time to return to normal fees.
Perhaps I misunderstood your comment but I wouldn't say that the average block time directly impacts the fees that are being broadcasted. Perhaps you were saying that there should be more discussing in increasing the mining time? I don't see how that would impact the fees in any meaningful way.
The difficulty will be adjusted in ~3 days, which always tries to be an average of 10 minutes. If the average is less than 10 minutes, this means that the difficulty will increase to maintain 10 minutes, and since the difficulty will increase, a longer time to find blocks and if the number of unconfirmed transactions continues to increase, it means that we will not see lower fees soon.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Keyhunt, BitCrack - speed on: April 21, 2024, 02:36:35 PM
If you mean BitCrack - A tool for brute-forcing private keys and Keyhunt - development requests - bug reports, then you need to post in that topic.
84  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: are there any de-centralized crypto exchanges out there ? on: April 21, 2024, 02:12:26 PM
Like bitcoin is decentralized, same concept. but on exchange of btc / usdt, usd, eur ....
with spot trading, order-book, makers and takers .. and  API , WS ..

You will not find a decentralized platform that converts Bitcoin to altcoin except through P2P or using wBTC tokens on the same blockchain.
If you are looking for a centralized platform that does not require KYC, you can look at this list https://kycnot.me then you can search for API, SW,...
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Finney Freedom Prize on: April 20, 2024, 03:55:38 PM
Quote
In 2024, the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) created the Finney Freedom Prize with the blessing and approval of Fran Finney, wife and partner of the civil liberties advocate, software developer, and Bitcoin pioneer Hal Finney.

The Finney Freedom Prize will be awarded to the person who does the most for Bitcoin and human rights in each halving era. Hal thought that the computer could be a tool to liberate people, not to repress them. He was a pioneer of digital privacy and electronic cash systems, and eventually stood alongside Satoshi Nakamoto to help develop Bitcoin in its earliest days. The Prize was created to honor Hal for his lifelong dedication to digital liberty, and to recognize those who, like him, strive to help make Bitcoin a better tool for freedom.

The Prize will come in two parts: first, a physical award, and second, a monetary prize of 1 BTC / 100,000,000 satoshis.

https://hrf.org/finney-prize/about-the-prize/

It is nice to see Hal Finney memorial awards. You can see the nominees chosen for these four years, so I hope that someone from the forum will be on the list of nominees for the award next time.

86  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 0.33 BTC Locked in Muhus Wallet or Has Been Hacked. on: April 20, 2024, 03:23:50 PM
If the app was not in Google Play Store then how would he downloaded it and send Bitcoins to it? He has been using the wallet to make transfers and the issue happened suddenly and recently. As of November last year, he told me that he had bitcoin of $3+k and he had sold $1k, and as of that time I wanted to buy some from him but there was no funds with me because he wanted to sell about $1+k worth of bitcoin. When something pains me and see this kind of comment, it pains me the more.

Maybe it's because from first replies I was trying to help you? If you back, I asked you here.

And he came to me to help him out and I tried my best but no avail. And when I checked the app in Google Play Store,
Are you sure it's an app? I changed the browser settings to show it like the phone screen and see what I got

I am trying to help, so I tell you that there is no Google Play app, and if there is a wallet app, it may be a different from what was mentioned because many comments on Reddit indicate that the service is a scam from the beginning.

I wish it was a different wallet and he didn't really lose 0.33 BTC
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fee $917 on: April 20, 2024, 03:06:31 PM
i know this is good to miners reward
but not to users Cry
i want to know what cause this skyrocket in fee after halving 840000
It is halving 840000, Spam began as many people tried to have their transactions included in block number 840000, and since the size of the block was limited, there was competition over fees reaching more than 5k sat/vB.
The average block time is ~9.8 minutes, which means that we may need a longer time to return to normal fees.
88  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: E-devices suitable for backup storage of seed phrases. on: April 20, 2024, 02:49:10 PM
Wouldn't it be easier to encrypt wallet file using a strong password and passpahre, store them separately in a USB or any device and then recover them using an airgapped PC or you can even use an encrypted passpahre and leave the 12 words as they are with a small balance like $100?
Electronic Diary does not contain encryption, does not have shock protection, and the code is closed source.
89  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Beta Test Bot FaucetPay on: April 19, 2024, 01:49:04 PM
A daily profit of 0.20% is too good to be true, especially if it is in Bitcoin, and I do not think any service is ready to provide such a return on an ongoing basis and for a long.

faucetpay has several negative reviews on trustpilot so it is better to use a more reliable service.
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/faucetpay.io

Your bot is not open source, so this board is not suitable, and you may need to pay users to test it or deposit an escrow amount.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTCRecover says my blockchain.com password as wrong even though I know its right on: April 19, 2024, 01:16:34 PM
Then these are the instructions I enter into terminal
Code:
python3 btcrecover.py --wallet wallet.aes.json  --tokenlist test.txt
Is the path correct? Because the error message is supposed to be Password search exhausted

Code:
cd Downloads\btcrecover-master
python btcrecover.py --wallet wallet.aes.json --tokenlist test.txt

At least now your problem is in the setup, you need to make sure that you have chosen the correct wallet file, the correct tokenlist file.
91  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 0.33 BTC Locked in Muhus Wallet or Has Been Hacked. on: April 19, 2024, 12:58:55 PM
Yes the guy has not really gotten enough knowledge on wallet. He knew only all those old wallets, exchanges the popular exchange like Binance and few. So yesterday he came to my place and I told him all the contributions here and I also advised him to use Electrum wallet if in anytime he will be using bitcoin again and he agreed with me.
you mentioned that it is a Google Play app but I did not find any mention they have an app on the Google Play and did not find any active app.
Did he really lose 0.33 BTC or did he think he earned it and the site asked him to deposit to withdraw it?

And he came to me to help him out and I tried my best but no avail. And when I checked the app in Google Play Store, I didn't see it again and he was surprised because according to him, he downloaded it form there. And even the website too is no longer there again.
92  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Zorkcall on: April 19, 2024, 12:46:57 PM
I did not understand what is the use of the virtual block. Is it an encryption layer for exchanging the private key to start an encrypted communication channel between parties? Where will these messages be broadcast?

You did not mention the time between the next blocks. If the average is less than a minute, the possibility of a block reorg occurring may mean that the block that was mined is no longer valid or that another block will occur before the message response is received.

Zorkcoins are similar to the way Bitcoin works. If that is the case, there are side networks that can be used for this purpose, so what is the thing that distinguishes Zorkcoin?
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Roadmap for technological processes of famous companies on: April 18, 2024, 03:44:12 PM
I thought that TSMC moved its new business and factories to the United States.
After the crisis in semiconductors in the past two years and the United States pumping all the money into developing the industry, supported by the possibility of exploiting it in AI, I expect that we will see 1-nm chips in 2026-2027.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTCRecover says my blockchain.com password as wrong even though I know its right on: April 18, 2024, 03:21:27 PM
I think you have set up your tokenlist wrongly, you need to read the details how-to-do-it https://github.com/3rdIteration/btcrecover/blob/master/docs/tokenlist_file.md

Set up the tokenlist well and try it with a simple list containing the required password and you will not get this error.

start will simple list like
Code:
Cairo
Beetlejuice beetlejuice Betelgeuse betelgeuse
correct_password
95  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum command lines on: April 17, 2024, 03:56:08 PM
Electrum console enables you to execute Python codes just like the Python interface, so to call a function you must put () next to the command.
See details of the codes here https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/electrum/commands.py

Code:
make_seed(self, nbits=None, language=None, seed_type=None):
ismine(self, address, wallet: Abstract_Wallet = None):
help(self):
Do you now know what 256 means? and how to call help?
96  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Buying forest with bitcoin on: April 16, 2024, 05:21:29 PM

Well, there is significant amount of research done to build methodologies for carbon credit certifications,
Yes, bringing the technology to forest is in our plans. We certainly, want to use available technology to map out the area and get as much as possible data.
You are telling me that the results of the significant amount of research that you said are promises. You cannot expect serious investments without providing data.

It is assumed that you have land and you will cultivate it and then sell carbon credits. If your company’s registration number does not provide details about the company and prove that you own the piece of land, what is the benefit of it?
97  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Buying forest with bitcoin on: April 16, 2024, 04:58:19 PM

Well, there is significant amount of research done to build methodologies for carbon credit certifications, first carbon offsets come in 5 years representing the amount trees absorbed in those first 5 years. When the tree is mature it actually absorbs CO2 very slowly, therefore, forest plantations actually offset more than overgrown tree.

Providing detailed data about where the trees will be planted and how this can be verified is necessary, and because the trees grow and do not move, to gain credibility, mapping tree (tree’s GPS data) must be encoded in the form of an NFT token and then sold on this basis.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLsO6XOaTwo

You have a registration number Reg. No. 4445554465 I did not find any data planted with that registration number, without proving that there are real trees being planted. This is an investment scheme, and with an ROI of 50%, this is a scam.
98  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 🚨 CRITICAL 🚨 Trust wallet claims malicious vulnerability in iOS on: April 16, 2024, 04:43:34 PM
I searched a little for the details of this vulnerability and the best thing I found was that it is comparable to Pegasus spyware, if that vulnerability true then Trust Wallet is supposed to encrypt sensitive data, and therefore even if high-risk zero-day vulnerability occurs, customers’ funds are supposed to be safe as long as they use a strong password to encrypt the wallet file.
99  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 0.33 BTC Locked in Muhus Wallet or Has Been Hacked. on: April 15, 2024, 01:55:45 PM
I did not find information about https://muhus.com, so I decided to visit their domain. They claim it is a wallet, but it is a crypto exchange.
I used Google to search for them and it didn't pull up any results.

However, when I look at the design of the site, it reminds me a lot of some scam exchanges that used a similar template. I hope I'm wrong, although it doesn't look legit to me personally.
I hope they are not scammers but they claim to be a registered company
CRYPTO ASSIST LTD
Company number: 12769910

Registered company office address:
20-22 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU

Their registration number 12769910 gives me MAGIC SCARVES LTD, which has a different address than what mentioned. When I search for office address details, I do not find any data about CRYPTO ASSIST LTD. They lied about their registration number.

I did not find information about https://muhus.com, so I decided to visit their domain. They claim it is a wallet, but it is a crypto exchange. I created an account there and got an address for deposits and withdrawals. I searched for a way to extract the private key and did not find it. The service it has is https://muhus.com/terms and https://muhus.com/aml-kyc-policy You also get an account ID, so if your friend has completed the identity verification procedures, he can contact the support team to give him access to his balance.

And he came to me to help him out and I tried my best but no avail. And when I checked the app in Google Play Store,
Are you sure it's an app? I changed the browser settings to show it like the phone screen and see what I got
