81  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What is this new penalty for drugs trafficking in Nigeria? on: June 05, 2024, 03:02:21 PM
This is outrageous men, how would you kill someone for possession of hard drugs, so just because someone choses to take a hard drug then you end his life, how is this a good solution to the problem, why not rehabilitation, in fact jailing is a waste of time, maybe the jails have been filled up and they want to just waste any new intake.
82  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't sell in loss on: June 05, 2024, 02:59:15 PM
It depends on the project we we talking about here, at times it's better to sell at a loss than to keep on holding some some coins when you know that some are just pump and dump shit projects, but when it comes to the real dela which is bitcoin then you shouldn't sell in a loss and hold cause you bitcoin has its seasons and so far we have enough reason to belive that bitcoin would always rise back if it falls.
83  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Davido launches a new crypto token on: June 05, 2024, 02:53:13 PM
For a project to successful it needs more than just good publicity, it requires intelligence and a good understanding behind it, what i see here is a big ponzi scheme that would take many Nigerians unaware because of big promotion, davido is influenced but that doesn't mean he has the best interest of the public at mind, well if you ask me I would advice keep of from unknown creations  Cheesy
84  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When you make mistakes, do not fail to take corrections. on: June 05, 2024, 09:56:18 AM
Your right mate, taking correction is the fastest way up the ladder, and no one is above mistakes and even the best of us also make those mistakes, but failing to take correction is failing to improve and therefore you would remain dormant and would never grow.

So as a newbie is okay to make mistakes and even error at some times, but don't let them make you back down you have to continue and also keep open ears for correction while you seek to improve yourself, everyone starts from the bottom and grows to knowledge.

86  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do u think this wallet is still safe? on: June 05, 2024, 09:47:28 AM
In the crypto world your first lesson should be to trust no one with your password which can be your seed phrase in thsi context, yeah there are honest hackers that are doing the job but can you trust anyone with money, but at same time the situation here is quite dire since he has lost his seed phrase and the money is good as gone, maybe we can relate why he took the risk.
87  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: If you can invest in btc then trust it and just hodl for future betterment on: June 05, 2024, 09:45:14 AM
The truth is anyone coming into bitcoin has to do so out of his own conviction and its better you don't ho around preaching it, yeah it's good approach bitcoin with a long term mindset but not everyone is buoyant enough to just leave money somewhere for over 4 years, decision like that takes stability and planning, yeah anyone can invest into bitcoin but for you to to long term there are necessary things you must account for and one is having an emergency funds, what's stopping you from selling out your Bitcoin maybe after a whole year of accumulating just one paint or very intense state of emergency that your income can't handle might bring up a decision to sell some or all your holdings to handle, so it's nice to bring all this to the table, long term holdings isn't easy, I've been there and still there and It's not easy.
88  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: A country with serious economic crisis. on: June 05, 2024, 09:26:22 AM
Well in the context of your topic you have already said it all, our leaders are blinded by what I don't know and they keep on making wring decisions upon wrong decisions and i begin to feel their are confused cause the problem is clear and we know we have the resources and man power to solve them but then why not do it, is they are plot to keep people hungry and poor and unemployed, to me yes, crypto since it's birth has been a new light to the Nigerian ls and our government is now working so hard to lay blames and accusations on them to what end, if not to increase the suffering and block the path to our freedom, well its now clear more than ever that we are on our own in this country and must and will fend for ourselves.
89  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin investment helps in better funds management. on: June 05, 2024, 09:22:15 AM
It depends on the currency or crypto you are deciding to leave your funds in and if its sime kind of business savings your doing and your funds is in something like bitcoin then that's wrong, investment should be long term especially when dealing with volatile assets cause you can never tell how the market woudl turn and you might end up having a lose rather than profits, unless your saving them in a stable coin, and from your explanation you never indicated that you are investing that money but rather only keeping surplus in your wallet to limit your spending and that's not investment.
90  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Questions about Bitcoin. on: June 05, 2024, 09:17:28 AM
You should have used dollar as the currency, you are in the local board remember, well I think people shoudl invest in bitcoin for more than just its advantages over fait, for me the major reason I invest in bitcoin is cause bitcoin has evolved to be more than just any currency it has become an asset like gold or silver and its a far more worthy commodity to have, just imagine having a million dollars in fait, with time as banks print more the value if your money deprecate and worth less than it used to at the initial time you had it, but if you put that money in bitcoin over time you have the advantage if retaining the value of your 1 million dollar and even might have profits on it.
91  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Waste of resources at parents disrupting their children dreams for self interest on: June 05, 2024, 12:47:39 AM
It's annoying that parents doesn't want children to be want they want to be they want to shape them to the point t that they dictate their tomorrow thinking its best for them and this is why when most children grow up they tend to go or start a whole new career than the one their parents planned for em.
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is lying now part of human nature? on: June 04, 2024, 10:53:12 PM
I don't why you bothered bring this topic up in any way, lying has been a part of the history of man and its has been so ever since, why would you even bother thinking anyone would stop lying,  some people have lied to save their skind and avoid punishment, the truth ls lie is a blanket that people use to shield themselves from the truth and its consequences, so most people lie because the truth is bitter and others lie because they can't face the consequences of the truth, do its a pick, no is too strong to take the easy route.
93  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: what are the other things to learn in this platform outside bitcoin? on: June 04, 2024, 10:43:37 PM
On this forum a lot of profitable information are shared that would and could benefit everyone even those that that not interested in buying bitcoin and one of those woudl be financial literacy, you woudl learn how to better equip and set up yourself and manage your finances no matter how little the income maybe and also plan for the future by investing. You would also learn about security and how to stay safe from scam and keep your asset secure in a wallet by protecting your keys.
94  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Impact of cryptocurrency to national security on: June 04, 2024, 10:14:00 PM
Looking at the impact of cryptocurrency from the positive side .you will literally agree with me that. Cryptocurrency has impacted heavily in

Increasing opportunities for illicit activities: Cryptocurrency can be used for money laundering, terrorism financing, and other illicit activities due to its anonymous and decentralized nature. This can pose a security threat to nations by facilitating illegal transactions that are difficult to trace or monitor.
Ma broda forget about these things you have mentioned about negative impact of crypto because all these things you even mention sef dem still dey use their fiat dey do especially when you talk about money laundering, them no get any Nigerian politician wey no dey thief money through fiat currency, ah be you no dey see the massive money wey people syphon from their Nigeria account to their abroad.

My bro na true talk be this, although say crypto currency get en wrong usage and also bad people wey dey use am for those purpose, but you also forget say before crypto even become famous for this our side men Don dey use fait and bank dey do that same thing, infact all this crypto news na false accusations wey government just dey blame dem, we all know that the situation with our currency is as a result of the excess money that was printed during the last election, it has nothing to do with crypto.
95  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Aggressive Bitcoin investment. on: June 04, 2024, 05:45:50 PM
You did not explain what aggressive invest really is, aggressive investment is good as long as its done right, anyone that isn't investing out of his discretionary income is investing wrongly and would surely put himself in some state of panic sonner or later, investing should be done of of our discretionary income and that is after our expense has been taken out and we taken care of everything that is necessary before using the spare cash to invest in bitcoin.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: June 03, 2024, 11:30:14 PM
One of the most implicating one you forgot to mention was chasing loses, when gamblers chase their loses it does more damage to then than either of both and even the most righteous of us do that sometimes.

Chasing loses makes you to get addicted faster cause you have to go back and try to recover what you've lost and might end us losing more or even spending more than you should.
97  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corrupt leaders are made foolish people. on: June 03, 2024, 09:10:12 AM
Your right bro, it has become quite a thign that trust is lacking in the nation, no one wants to look past the insecurites of sec or ethnic and vote bases on trust, besides they would say its better a devil we know than an angel we don't know, everyone is accountable for the suffering that they are passing through and people won't still listen, right now in the US there are still those that that vouching for biden even after his bad performance and its true that trump is far better than him but yet no one would listen they woudl still prefer to make the same mistake all over again over a fake promise .
98  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do we really plant trees? on: June 03, 2024, 08:42:10 AM
I believe many governments will allow planting of trees in their land, base on the high temperatures people are experiencing from the land and it will help their crops to grow well, and people around such country will going to enjoying cold weather during the raining season and the dry season.

There are many farmers who are into Forestry, just to ensure there are differences types of trees around the country to make the citizens not to dwell in the high temperatures, which it can cause so many diseases that will cause people to spend big money before they can be free from the disease in the hospital.

Since, government and the people in the society will going to benefit from the planting of trees, I will advise government to assist people to plant trees around their environment so that they can benefit from the system in their land.

Planting if trees does play an Important role in the environment but I still don't believe that it woudl help reduce the gree house effect, buy sure it can help the total supply of oxygen in an area to increase, do you know how long it takes for some carbon compound gases to heat up and break down into carbon again for plants to breath or rather use for photosynthesis, the solution to reduce green House effect can never be more tress that's all bullshit to me, tress serve their purpose but that's not to reduce green house effect, just imagine the amount of carbon waste coming out from industries and buying of fossil fuel, trees are good but not a permanent solution, you know what I'm thinking .
99  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Make a difference in your society. on: June 03, 2024, 08:37:41 AM
I still believe that everyone has the power to cause grear change in the society, we don't have to follow everyone in doing what they do, there is room to make a difference in your environment, you can't wait for the government to impact little rules that you can keep for yourself like having a healthy environment, little habits can cause great change.
Yes, first of all, one should start from oneself and then proceed with the positive change of the society through the involvement of others. Most of the time people place their responsibility only on the government or local administration but as a citizen everyone has many responsibilities which are definitely undeniable. Since the collective efforts and awareness of the people living in the society help to ensure a clean and healthy environment, it is really unreasonable to blame the government entirely. In every society when the number of conscious people is more, it is definitely possible to maintain order and can be a model for building an ideal society.

You ars right change starts from within, you can't impact what you don't have my pastor woudl always say, his advice would always lean towards self development and developing new character, attitude and character is really everything and that's that's determines how far an individual would go in life, its not always about knowledge and upbringing although it plays an important role in a person's life too, but character is the determination factor in how far a person can go or Impacts in his society.
100  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poverty change people on: June 03, 2024, 08:34:13 AM
Poverty change people, I never thought as much until i came back from abroad.
I visited my old neighborhood while growing up to see some of my guys in the past, I observe that most of them have changed to something else, from their behavior to how they sees life, and to how bittered they are. Though we still get along well base on the kind of person I am, I don't even sees myself like the rich guy they take me for,  but I also feel their pain because life haven't been fair to them,  a caring and loving guy before is now always bittered, the best I can do, which I did was to introduce them to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
Poverty is a disease that changes people.
i agree poverty changes people imagine a years back a friend of mine i used to assist during difficult and tough times but once him earned alot of money and being successful the attitude towards him changes him keep on behaving strange that's what I really understand about that poverty can change someone easily.
Your case is different, your friend was either humble because of poverty and had no option than to be humble but once his bag was filled he forget what it was like to be poor and became stingy, and to me I hate such persons cause they woudl forget all the good things you did for them and once they are rich theh act like you ars not their friends again, so bad bro.
