81  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Use your opportunity wisely. on: March 26, 2024, 04:22:26 PM
Many people have lost the chance to become successful because they mismanaged their opportunity, some loss their opportunity because of foolishness while some may loss theirs because of anger and some because of ignorance. Many people have been blessed with so many opportunities but still they  remain where they are while some are looking for the little opportunity to be given to them.

In my work place as at last year I had this friend we both ate from hand to mouth but we managed a little work together and our salary was very small that it won't carry us for two weeks before the month runs out but we still managed it then later I travelled and left him still working after some months he called me that he has been posted to a higher level where he earned higher I was very happy for him. When I came back I saw that his appearance has changed he was living well then I travelled again after three months I was told that my Friend left the work and went back to his village where there was no work at all because he made a mistake and his boss shouted at him.
I came back and started working there he came to plead because his savings has finished but no chance for him, he suffered alot looking for job everywhere so after that year I told him that it is January and there is vacancy he should go and plead again he went and he was employed but he went back and stole two months after he was employed and he was given the highest salary among all new workers as a person who already knew the work operation.

What a waste of opportunity.
Theirs a saying by a musicians that opportunity no be watin dem dy look and pass.meaning every chance you have to find your self you should take hold and utilize it because not all times those stuff happen in someone life regularly
82  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Investing into crypto really safe? on: March 26, 2024, 04:19:38 PM
Crypto currency investment na risky kind of investment, because Several risk dey associated to this kind of investment, crypto currencies dey very volatile, come dey make crypto investors more vulnerable to losses,  but most persons no dey reason am , them invest in am heavily and most of them done cash out, and still most of them still loose money, crypto investment fit profit you or fit make you loose money before you close eye open, because the price fit climb or drop before you close eye open. E better to take the risk, but take the risk responsibly.
Investing in crypto is safe because it’s decentralized,
Transparency, security features, global access, diversification and technology innovation.
83  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be very careful of third party account on: March 26, 2024, 04:13:03 PM
My country people, i dy greet ona inside this afternoon,  today I wan talk about one thing wey most of us know but we fit still fall victim if we no pay close attention to, and that thing na third party account during p2p transaction.

Even though most exchange dy even warn say make we no accept Payment from third party account, most people, once them see say the person don pay the money, them go just rush and release the asset, not knowing that them fit use a third party account use send the money wey fit put you for serious problem, if na through criminality Dem use gain access to that account them use send you money, so I suggest make we dy careful oo, especially when we dy transact p2p transaction.
In anything that have to deal with deal and payment transaction we should be vigilant of thirds party in a p2p.because you need to be careful of security issues and a lot more in the society
84  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The leaders of tomorrow. on: March 26, 2024, 04:07:59 PM
Have any one of you ever stumbled upon a child and for whatever reason and asked them how old they were and they replied " 14, 15, or 16" Then thinking they're still in secondary school, ask them, which class? and they're like " I'm in the university".

What were your reactions?   Cheesy. I believe that moment you were probably worried about the future of this country.

The leaders of tomorrow, are children who can't take care of themselves. They're going to graduate from the university at about 18- 19 years old and then literal children would be in the labour force. How is this country going to not only survive but improve if the leaders of tomorrow are immature children who can't make proper decisions?

To be honest, some of these children actually deserve to be where they are. They are smart and responsible, but even regardless of age a lot of them are extremely immature and childish. The age for university admission used to be 18 years old, but now some schools just let anyhow children into uni, and this is mostly carried out by private universities.

Do you think NYSC can help these children? since some of its importance is teaching the youths resilience, independence, and patriotism.

Another thing I've noticed is that a lot of parents don't let their children be independent or let them make decisions for themselves, then they grow up and become liabilities where at this point the parents start blaming them and comparing them to other people's children. This is very bad. Your child isn't going to be with you forever, no matter the age, when your child enters uni you should start letting them do things for themselves.  Let them fail, make mistakes, learn from those mistakes, and get up. You can't protect your child forever oo.

Let's make this country better with these tiny efforts.

Thank you.
Omo looking at the Nigeria system,it’s. Not creating a good environment for engagement of younger generation to be successful because as days goes by the country keep getting harder and creating good policy to tackle the challenges we are facing in the society.back in the 90s as a graduate to the Chances of you been employed are at high chance but for now,the graduates are more than the jobs opportunities and the government is finding a way to create a better youth empowerment and more in the country in whole.
85  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Wetin be your crypto new year resolution? on: March 26, 2024, 04:04:13 PM
In the beginning of every new year, most people de get plenty new year resolutions, both di ones wey de achievable and di ones wey dem de depend on miracle to achieve. Aldo e de better say make we de base our new year achievement plans on wetin de achievable for our level. So as e concern cryptocurrency matter, e de very good say make we get plans on ground on how we wan take make plenty profit from dem. Without a well thought out plan and sticking to am, we fit to derail along di way and the goal of di new year resolution no go reach im destinations.

We get different options to take make profit for cryptocurrency market, and dem de inside two categories wey be trading and investment. Trading de very profitable on a short term, but e carry plenty risks too, a trader need to get knowledge of fundamental and technical analysis, if no be so loses go de plenty. Investments de profitable but the investors need to hold for a long term to guarantee ROI. Aldo you need to hold reputable coins like Bitcoin or top altcoins like Ethereum to get di guarantee, to invest for new projects fit give an investor plenty profit on a  very short time, but dem de very risky, because most of dem no de reliable, you fit lose your money very fast. E de worthy to note say scam de plenty for crypto matters so person need to carry out proper research before im go commit im money.

As we de expect Bitcoin halving this year and after dat we go come expect ATH bull run, my new year resolution na to de DCA and accumulate only Bitcoin to de hold till di bull season proper. Top altcoins go also experience bull run but I no want distractions, so na only Bitcoin for me. So na wetin be your crypto new year resolution?
My own new year resolution on bitcoin or any crypto is to invest wisely on any coin, educate my self , stay informed and diversify investments.
86  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be careful when doing transaction on: March 26, 2024, 08:23:03 AM
My fellow naija board greet you all!

This post  actually for everyone because no one can outgrown mistakes. Was just on my WhatsApp there's I joined back then concerning airdrop and other paying update so the admin of the group posted a screenshot a friend sent to him, in the group. So the screen shot was a conversation between him and a friend, his friend where telling him how he received 6 BnB which worth $1819.5 from a unknown wallet. And was doing the day ETF was approved so coin undergo a surge that moment so the price was bigger than now. You can see that the amount is not a small amount of money. The thing is that I'm pretty sure that the person that send that BnB made a mistakes in its public key (wallet address) when was doing the transaction. Just imagine cash you work for hours, days, or months you just lose it in a blink of a seconds sending it to a wrong address if it was normal bank he would have ask for refund but I don't think if cryptocurrencies transaction still work  that way.

Please always be careful and always do any transaction with cautious, crypto might disciving you that the amount you loss might be small in your eyes but ones you turn it to our Nigeria currency Omo you go know say nor be small money you loss so ma people make we try our best to keep our asset safe.
As e just be so,as the country hard, everyone should just be conscious when it comes to money and transaction.because any slight mistake can cause a lot of regret and loss.imagine involving in a p2p where you don’t confirm payment slip and you just release coin due to network or persistent of the vendor should be noted,a lot of people have been scammed through this means.
87  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do Not Pressure Anyone Around You To Invest In Bitcoin. on: March 26, 2024, 08:19:29 AM
I decided to bring this information to our notice here because of a particular event that happened today that I was opportuned to witness. I understand that we all that have been around the forum where discussions and informations about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are made have taken the opportunity to invest and some of us if not all have benefited from our investments and it has positively affected our thinking because we now see the investment as something we can not do without. Even as we encourage some of our brethren to invest, we shouldn't made it mandatory as if they will have no other opportunities in life to become rich if they do not invest in cryptocurrency. Back to what I witnessed today which led to this information, a guy was busy blasting his friend in public for not investing in Bitcoin when the price was below 40k on hearing them from afar, I came closer to really understand why he was so angry with his friend I overheard him saying that he can no longer be taking care of him because he refused to invest when he asked him to. There are some people who may never be interested in investing in Bitcoin even when they see the need to invest I think the best thing is to ignore them instead of putting so much pressure on them for them to invest. It is not every one that understands the meaning of investing for the future I think anyone who's interested in Bitcoin investments won't waste time to invest regardless of the current economic situation.
Omo,in this life don’t pressure anyone to engage in bitcoin it’s not advisable due to a lot of factors such as risk tolerance, volatility, lack of understanding, financial responsibility and personal choice go a long way to get you
88  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Impact of religion in Nigeria development on: March 26, 2024, 07:49:31 AM
Religion seen to have helped Nigeria in the area of language, provision of social amenities, education, promotion of science and technology, peace and reconcilation. However the impact of religion in a secular state seems to have played out negatively in Nigeria, as politics and religion are mixed in the attempt to gain political leverages and recognition by some corrupt and incompetent politicians that don't have the interest of the people at heart but greed and mischievous interest.
Sincerely speaking, I cannot condem anybody or Nigeria for being a religion motivated country but I condem politicization of religion where people consider religion in terms of making decision in leadership than looking at competency and charisma and this is the major reason why we keep on making mistakes in supporting politicians that will nail us to the wall instead making policies that will relief our pains enhance development in the country.
The impact of religion in government can vary significantly depending on the cultural, historical, and political context of a country. Here are some of the key ways in which religion can influence government.such as legislation and policy, political parties and movements, social services and welfare.
89  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Nigerian System of Education on: March 26, 2024, 07:40:31 AM
Our system of Education is something else, starting from the primary system to the tertiary system. That of the the tertiary system their varieties of challenges it undergoes, for instance

* Over Population
* Outdated Curricula
* Lack of qualified faculty and equipment for studies
* Lectures Accepting Bribe (Sorting)

Talking about the over-population, the school authorities are no longer interested in the conduciveness of a class room, or has a limited set of person that is meant to be admitted in a department to ensure conducive learning, they admit to the extent that students now sit on the floor or outside the class room to take lectures due to lack of space.

Outdated Curricula. On this particular note, Nigerian universities are still making use of outdated curriculum to lecture their students, how do these universities curriculum prepare her students for the modern work force. Using my school as a case study, just imagine learning FORTRAN in this modern time, when other countries are leaning advance computer programming options

Lack of Qualified Faculty and Equipment for studies
Nigerian system of learning lack major equipment for learning, after being in the school environment for as much as your programme requires, then coming out to the public and you have nothing to offer due lack of necessary equipment for studies and conditions the students are being placed under.

Sorting in Nigerian Universities are now seen as a normalcy,
Lecturers in these universities are now adding to back logging of the educational system. Just imagine a student going for a job interview and is being asked questions related to his or her field of study and they can't come out with something tangible due to the corrupt process they've passed through.
The Nigeria system hasn’t really done enough for the educational system..starting from the structure and curriculum and payment scheme.its not encouraging enough.getting paid small salaries leads to a lot of problems in the education system such as bribery and corruption.when the government have create a system good and when there’s check and balance in the system we will enjoy a lot in it
90  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: How to manage yourself during this hard times on: March 26, 2024, 07:36:21 AM
My country people good evening, today I want talk about how we fit manage ourselves/finance during this hard times.
See my country people, dy way tins cost now, if you dy still eat three times in a day, just know say you dy more bless more than you think. I wan tell ona one secret of how to manage our money, See we know say wetin dy really consume our money for this life na food, so the best tin to do na, if you be family man for example, try to buy enough food keep for house, like 100k from garri to rice, beans, provisions and any food wey you know say ona dy always eat for the house,  see, apart from food, you go hardly spend money, try this tin I dy tlk now, buy enough food even though e dy surplus keep for house, and once you know say food dy house, ur mind go rest, during the cause of that month, you go observe say you go spend less and if na family wey no get too much stunch men for eating, the food go stay up to 2months, just try an see.
To be able to manage tough times in a country like Nigeria, you need to have adaptability, community service.
Stay informed and stay postive and a lot more.
91  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Looks like Nigeria is getting worse.. on: March 26, 2024, 07:31:13 AM
My people, I greet una. Few weeks ago when dollar was 1900, things were very expensive, now wey dollar be 1540 shey things suppose come down? Abeg anything come down for una side? Abi nothing da come down for Nigeria? This matter don tire me. Went to the market yesterday and I actually expected things to reduce due to dollar little stability, but reverse is the case. Seems this country is getting worse. How una see am?
This topic is a interesting one because ever since I have know about dollar increases, there a lot of price increases in the market and even the dollars drops down there is still no change in price but only constant in it market value. So Nigeria government have to create a bench Mark which help to regulate market prices sales .but for example Nigeria we don’t have that, someone can just wake up and bring a new price because of the sudden increase in dollar even without a considerable reason for that, which is bad and keeps on creating inflation in the country.
92  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be very careful of third party account on: March 26, 2024, 07:27:42 AM

Normally ehh bitcoin trading in exchange which involves third party in transaction are very fearful such as security risk, fee structure, dependency, trust isssue and privacy issues and alot more
93  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why people dey fear to invest in Bitcoin and crypto? on: March 26, 2024, 07:21:05 AM
Many people just get this belief say since nah wetin concern internet them no fit do anything called investment, unknowing to them that is the best place to invest on.
Even my uncle's saw it as a scamming thing, but they never knew it's the best place you can save any amount of your income in life.
And still have access to your money at anytime you need  access to your investment. You all should invest online and see how your life will change for good.
A lot of people fear bitcoin because of volatility because in it price change, lack of regulation, negative publicity and perception, uncertainty of the future, fear of missing out and alot more
94  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: IF NOT FOR GARRI: Drop your story on: March 26, 2024, 07:04:56 AM
We all know and have had an encounter with this life saver … Garri actually saw me through till I graduated , there was no day that I was down and garri wasn’t there to save me…: Omor if not for garri , man for don mud😂😂
Actually this is a very funny thing to talk about and it impact of garri to us but it have help me a lot and more.even when I needed it the most but to help build this forum we need to create a much interactive topic to especially to create positive impact and a lot more
95  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be aware, no use person wallet . on: March 26, 2024, 07:02:19 AM
As this issue of binance and government dey go so, I go advise make person no go put coins for another person exchange because say em no get another exchange. My reasons be say as binance done shot down naira for their platforms and people go dey fin reliable exchange to put their coins. Make them also dey careful with the ones wey them go sign up with. If you no sabi any exchange, go beginners and help board then ask questions. Now many scammers for we country and around the globe done get the signals say Nigeria no get better access to binance exchange again, them go won create fake exchanges so that pipo go fall in to.
Recently I hear somebody dey tell the other person through phone call say em no fit access the coins wey dey em binance again, say binance  done block em account (meanwhile na lie). As binance close p2p from Nigerians them go fit send out the coins to another exchange. So make nobody deceive any body. If you no get the requirements to pass KYC for exchanges verification just create electrum wallet then keep the seed phrases well. Besides this nah the best time to store coins as we done dey enter the bull run already.
Using someone wallet address such a in a financial transaction in the world of crypto currency can bring a lot of issues such as lack of control of money, privacy concerns, loss of fund and security concerns and alot more Depending on the situation you are in.so it’s advisable to not engage in that l,most especially during kyc verification and lot more
96  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: A Good Government Brings Economic Growth on: March 26, 2024, 06:57:38 AM
I saw in a news that the governor of Niger State Mohammed Bago, signed a multi- million deal with a foreign company called the Reinke, a global irrigation company, that would help boost Agriculture in Niger State and Nigeria at large large. This has caused citizens of the Niger state to rain praises on him, saying he's the best governor so far and they've finally got a deserving leader. Also, before now bago had promised to work the extra mile to collectively build a better future for the citizens of the State upon his assumption of duty as their governor, which he's currently trying to achieve. This is the real deal, this is the kind of leadership Nigerians are demanding and i think others should emulate from this instead of coming into power to loot states treasury.
Also there are other good leaders for instance, Alex oti, the Governor of Abia State who's currently transforming the state from bad to being better, Abia state which was formely know for bad roads, poor electricity, and dirty environment is gradually being transformed by Governor Alex, he's currently building good roads and recently commissioned a geometric power plant in osisioma, of which major cities in Abia are now benefiting from the constant power supply.
There are several other good leaders with good intension to help change the country by bringing developments and boost our economy, but we all know that our country is filled with  more corrupt and bad leaders than good ones. Well we've seen the benefits of having good leaders in our government and i think if more good leaders, would  emerge in every arms of our government, from the judiciary down to the legislators, then there would be change and our economy would gradually get better, cause by then politicians would begin to give account of looted funds and countries treasury and not go scott free afterwards. Change they say begins with everyone but when the head is bad, the whole body gets bad as well, therefore if more good and better leaders emerge in various areas of our government then there would be change and it would help boost our economy.
A good government bring a significant increase in postive impact in the society  in several ways such as stability and predictability, infrastructure development, health care services and education a lot more can help build a strong economy of a country and its GDP
97  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Our country no fit carry last on: March 26, 2024, 12:05:07 AM
Omo despite say our government bad, but me is still like the doings our country men dey show, when it comes to music our country dey number one, even no sef our starts na most recommended world wide burna boy, omay lay, rema etc. These our brothers continues to make us proud. But no be music I come yan here. E get two things wey dey burst my head, one of them na when I hear say e get time wey we no get local board for this forum, we where unrecognised here but our senior men them come together go fight war for us come out success, the thing dey sweet me because b4 now e get many of our senior men wey I no even know say them Niger men wey be say if you see them post for other places you go very high level of professionalism for their write up, men like CryptopreneurBrainboss, nwada, hugeblack, Charles-Tim omo I hail una, the example una dey show dey really motivate me to work on my self.

Secondly now na say Nigeria na number 1 African country wey dey use crypto, y this one sweet me specially na say as government Don decide to frustrate men, we sef Don choke head another place, the strong gene for survival dey our country men body, even as other country dey wey dey do well pass us, the. Go still pass them call us as number 1, I no even wan enter the percentage of successful Nigerians wey dey do well for outside country. Omo I hail our country me. Make I no too talk if not the way e be me the post go long.
Yes of course.our Cou Nigeria no fit carry last due to nature at which the citizens are brought up in the society.where by you have to adapt to a environment at all cost with out consideration of the government to create policies to help out masses.
98  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be careful of cheap scam on: March 26, 2024, 12:01:41 AM
I think it’s worthy to bring this to the notice of the users here especially those that offer exchange services like myself to stay very careful and vigilant, as these scammers are up to something else.

I got a message from a random number on my WhatsApp wanting to trade $550 late yesterday but since the network was very bad for Airtel users, I couldn’t meet but got his message mid night and he was still interested to trade with me which is very unusual as most people wouldn’t be patient to wait for a vendor and I tried delaying the whole process as I was I’ve a victim of these scam that I even lost $40 but this time, I was very conscious and I delayed the trade further till now and the seller was still interested to trade with me then I realized, something is actually fishy.

The main purpose of the buyer isn’t to scam you immediately but to watch and monitor your wallet address when there is a little money in there, he would then use their charm powers to Manipulate you and claim they just sent you the usdt since they already know how much is in your wallet through your address, you wouldn’t hesitate to trade it and send them money.

My fellow traders, please be careful, not to trade with any random number that can’t even explain how they got your contacts.
Below is the images to our chats.

When we talk about scam it’s a like a day to day thing in our society.so tackling business in the internet you need to make research, knowing about it and next to verify it’s guarante.asking of questions about it matters a lot.anything that have to deal with personal information or income level shouldn’t be disclosed easily but with a good reason and mostly report suspicious activity.
99  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: African Proverbs in Pidgin on: March 25, 2024, 11:56:31 PM
I have been meaning to do this for a while now but each time I get distracted and laggard. I want us to have an avenue of sharing some of our indigenous proverbs while still learning the crypto stuff.

— E don tey wey I be dey plan to do this thing here but each time too much distractions dey carry my mind comot from am. I go like make our area people share some of our local proverbs here with their explanations. I go put the proverbs in bold.

Share a proverb, and then put up its meaning. It will be best if the proverb is written in pidgin English.

Make I kick start am with some Warri flavour. Area!

Nor be today wey yansh don dey back.
Meaning: We are used to such a situation.

Dem nor dey tell blind man sey salt nor dey soup, you fit tell am sey oil nor dey.
Meaning: Obvious things don't need explanations.

Only a fool tests the depth of a river with both feet.
Meaning: You don't jump straight into a situation without thinking about it first.
100  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Work from home or an office job? on: March 25, 2024, 11:53:54 PM
Growing up, we've always fancied the idea of a "white-collar job". it was more like everyone's dream to finish school and get an office job, it appeared as though those doing private businesses were the leftovers who weren't opportune to get employed.

Working from home came in and most persons are yet to come to terms with it with a misconceived idea that it always has an element of illegality in it. And for the younger once who stay with their parents but are into online business/jobs, some parents tend to term them lazy due to the amount of time spent on their gadgets.

Do you think the office job is over hyped?

Is it true that for you to make it big in the online space, you must be involved in an act of illegality?
I will prefer to work from home than from office.when you work from home it allow you to be free to express your own intellectual potential than an office base on there on interest and perspective.
