In my country, the Vega 56 is at 500 . The Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 8GB is at 260. For the price of 1 Vega 56, I get 2 RX580. The choise is easy to made Just curious : what hashrates do you get with the vega 56 ? The biggest I saw was 36 mh/s but maybe it has been increased. |

Wow, 399$ ! Here in France the price is 520 for the VEGA 56.
I didn't found some mining tests with the vega 56 at this moment. Maybe it's too early. This cards was only sold since yesterday.
Wondering what hashrate and power consumption the live results will provide.

The nvidia cards are displayed at much higher prices (1060 @ 340 with no stock untill 3-4 month / 1070 over 500)
The Sapphire Nitro + 8GB OC is displayed at 267 (available under 1 month)
MSI RADEON RX 580 GAMING X+ 8G is displayed at 340 and no stock.
I think the best choise is the Nitro+ because it is available untill 1 month and has the cheapest price.

Thank you for your help. I know it's early to speak about Vega cards but it seems that it will be hard to put a moded bios in this cards. "We flashed BIOS successfully by using a new version of ATIFlash. This was tested by flashing the same BIOS that V56 ships with, just with a different name; unfortunately, even that small of a change is blocked by AMDs new security features. BIOS now requires a signature, so making a custom BIOS is no longer possible with any reasonable amount of effort. The display refuses to initialize with a modded BIOS something of a let-down, given AMDs propensity for boasting its openness and advocacy for users." Hello, I am building my 1st rig. It seems from the 1st test results that the AMD vega cards are not that good for mining. (Source : http://www.legitreviews.com/amd-radeon-rx-vega-64-vega-56-ethereum-mining-performance_197049) I think it's better to get some RX580 instead. Do you agree ? I am not sure what version of RX580 to buy. Can you help me please. Some cards are available now and some within 2 month (pulse and msi gaming). Price range are 230-330  Thank you |

Biggest thing is do you want an OS that's ahead of the curve and allows you to mine what you want to mine (pimp) or do you want an OS that's restricted to only the brand cards, coins and miners the devs choose to support (ethos)? PIMP - loaded with all the main miners to GPU and CPU mine any coin you would like and supported Nvidia GPUs before it was "popular" - $39 per license ethOS - can only mine a hand full of coins (Monero/ZCash/ETH) and just recently started supporting Nvidia now that it's "popular" - $39 per license I've used both and even spend time in the pimpOS IRC and Discord support channels if you want to stop by and ask more questions. As a user of pimp I get more for my $39 using pimp than I do out of ethOS but that's just me. Thank you for your support. PIMP seems better, I will use it |

It depends where you are located Here it's monday 22:22 pm. We will have the pay on demand option on 6th January, so between 2 hours from now, up to 26 hours. As a reminder, the weekly payments were moved to balance per user and pay on demand, which will become live Tue, Jan 6 (typo fixed year change was not counted). |

I doubt more and more that we will get any payout. I saw some reference to old posts in other forums where Chris seems to have scammed people with his other company... Let's wait untill friday...
One thing to keep in mind, he said that the payout on demand feature would be available tomorrow but that doesn't mean that you will necessarily get paid immediatly after request (maybe he will check manually before processing) and neither that the balance will be up-to-date.
