All hail Adam!!!

My man.... infofront is doing a good job from when he's the man of this thread....

Show him some respect

I have no respect for people who steal other peoples work. There should be an explanation and attribution in the first post.

I've never pretended that I created this thread. I mostly left the OP alone for posterity's sake. I never really considered it before, as all the regulars here already know the story. Out of respect for Adam, the thread, and also for posterity, I  agree that there should be a note about the thread originator.

So, I have added a note. but I also think you're an asshole, and went about this like an asshole.

Well, I think I've made my feelings clear already.

"I never really considered it before,"  ..... of course not.

Thx for sorting it out though.

Edit: You misspelled his name.

I still maintain that the original thread starter should be properly attributed in the first post. Regardless of what happened several years later. The WO thread is a piece of crypto history and not giving adamstgbit proper recognition is historical negationism. I hope and believe that the mods see the problem I am pointing out and corrects it.

I think this is fair enough.

If I'd been put in charge of the thread I would've left Adam's opening post and added my own explanation inside it about the change of control. Maybe it's better to request it from Intofront or start a dedicated thread. This isn't the place for this.

I sorta assumed he reads the thread he moderates. I will contact him directly then.

Heading towards $4k around October 2020. Forget the "halfing". It was priced in early - 1 year early - and profits got taken in the 12k "fakeout".

That's what bitcoin does folks - what you're not expecting.

New ATH around 2023, 2024, just at long term log charts have been predicting. Time between peaks increasing as marketcap increases.

Super bearish but... intriguing. If that would be the case I could buy new loads of ammo.

Nobody except some true HODLers are expecting 50-100-200 or 300K a coin as well so going that high will be very unexpected for the world as well....

As most of the NO-coiners or people not knowing BTC are exactly expecting low prices or failure...

So sky high prices will be the unexpected Cheesy

Now go and troll some rookie-newbie threads or something, in here people like you has no voice

You're attacking people who are very much on topic, have legitimate views on the topic, behave in a polite manner and have several years seniority over you.

Or just fuck off from here because nobody sane would give a fuck about Adam? Seems much simpler than your proposal.
Jeebuz, Lauda. Take some anger pills.
There's no anger, just objective statements. Adam was/is a delusional piece of shit. This is nice kitty mode, price is boring. Purr. Wink

Whether you like him or not is completely irrelevant. This is more about Bitcointalk.org and infofront than adam.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 30, 2019, 07:23:16 AM
Anyone who wants to know, adam gave up his account, forum admins concluded that this thread was difficult to administer and closed down the thread.  after complaints from forum members, theymos agreed to reopen the thread with a new thread owner that was voted upon by forum member (largely already active WO participants to my recollection).. accordingly, infofront has carried out a very laudable nearly non-interventionist approach that seems to carry out the spirit of the thread in a way that might have even been playing out better than the original version.  Go Figure!!

Yep, just to add to that, the reason the first post was changed wasn't a FU to Adam, but was simply a pragmatic decision because there was no other way to easily change the thread moderation. If anyone has a problem with that, then download the source code for SMF and code a workaround...

A small sentence in the first post saying that adamstgbit was the original thread starter is all that it takes to rectify the problem. Not doing so suggests that there is something horribly wrong with either infofront or bitcointalk.org as a whole.

All my charts still say we are due for a rally starting in the next 48 hours.  But I gotta say this is challenging.

I hope you're right.  I was poised to begin a regimen of lorazepam until Friday's WO intervention.  Now I'm on a course of night shifts instead... it helps but not nearly as.much as would seeing Bitcoin over 9000 8000 again.

Edit: damn
Edit2: didnt want to get in the way of HairyMaclairy's smackdown.

Dude, we'll likely see $6.5k. No reason to panic though. We should move up after that.

user: infofront

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg1858442#msg1858442

He took over moderation of the Wall Observer Thread in Speculation and changed the first post so that it looks like he was the threadstarter.

The first post should contain a proper attribution to adamstgbit as the original threadstarter.
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2019, 10:34:20 PM
Adam left of his own volition.  Went bigblock mad and ragequit for reddit if I understand correctly.

Infofront was appointed to moderate in the aftermath.

Nothing nefarious here, you are out of your lane.

ugh... this thread is filled to the brim with jjg's.

No one cares about your opinion Fatman

It seems like it. Kinda weird.

It's pretty bad form to do something like that in any other part of society.

It's the kinda thing journalists and academics get booted for.

The WO thread has 500k posts. It's a little internet marvel.

Rewriting its history should be a big deal.

And that's what you're doing if you hijack the first post without making it clear that adamstgbit is its creator.

Edit:

No one cares about your opinion Fatman

Indeed I’m letting it go, no use in an endless dumb discussion

I just know we all like infofront !

Jesus Christ! What are you? 5 years old?

It's not about liking or not liking infofront.

It's about dealing with a piece of work in a proper manner!

What kind of people are you guys?

People steeling work, copy work whiteout some links etc all get banned

Is infofront banned? No so STFU.

That makes no sense. That does not change the fact that he hijacked the first post without an explanation and attribution.

I understand that you want to protect your buddy, but sticking your head up your arse does not really do much in that regard.

So, will the price glide down gracefully within the next few days or will it just crash immediately after 24.00 CET?
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2019, 08:03:35 AM
Any future prediction is useless, Bitcoin always does what it wants.

100% agree. my impression is that the game changed in Dec 2017 with the introduction of Futures for BTC. since then the market is not the same as it was before since 2011. the Big Boys changed everything. prediction of the price is much more difficult now because a mighty instrument to short BTC is available since Dec 2017.

This time is different TM.

Wall Observer
A free service brought to you by the bitcoin community

Whenever there is a significant change in market depth, please update this thread with a new depth chart, and a good price chart with some TA is also welcome, feel free to comment on these if you have something to worth contributing, ( if your post is not at all TA it will be deleted )

Posting guild lines:
Please lets keep this thread clean. ( I will be removing any off topic posts )
Do not post random comments on this thread, unless it is directly related to the last wall update (ex. The 20K ask was was NOT sold into, it was removed after being tested)
 When you post a chart please use bitcoincharts.com, mtgoxlive.com, btccharts.com or bitcoinity.com

as requested, i have started a new thread.
this thread is now a self-moderated topic.
I will try and keep this thread clean, with only facts, current trends, past price movements, depth charts, etc.
I promise to not delete post simply because i do not agree with the bearish TA.

thank you for your input!

We needed more regulation around this bitch.

the rules of this thread is an attempt to keep this thread from having +1000 post when price is doing big moves, and instead relay important indicators during critical moments.
also when the market is more calm we can expect to see wall posts and TA price charts, back to back without any relevant chatting, making easier to analyze.
there are other threads where speculators can discuss their sentiment, just not here...

That 1000+ page thread was getting kinda useless.

How about bitcoinium.com pics? I can never get mtgoxlive to load Undecided

thats fine too,
I'm looking for quality charts or good TA bearish or bullish.

asking good questions example....

Interesting pattern I've noticed. It's been sort of bouncing downwards for the last 4 days. Is there a technical term for this sort of thing?

is also welcome here.

just don't be posting about your "FEELINGS" and you won't get delete.  Tongue

Disclaimer: All posts in this thread are for entertainment purposes only. Nothing in this thread should be construed as financial advice.

When I take a gander at the worldwide Bitcoin picture, I see a few "antiquated" levels which stay genuine right up 'til the present time. As a matter of first importance, how about we think about even levels.

wtf?!?!?! This thread was started by adamstgbit, not infofront. When and why did he edit his way into the first post?

Edit: damn, that's a rotten move. I am disgusted.

Ok so a bug was found with LN and the bug was fixed?   Is that a fair summary?
Yes. It's more of an implementation bug than overall IMO. Clients weren't properly checking stuff.

I guess it's to be expected with such an immature project (not trying to kick it, just stating the obvious). I'm looking forward to see what will happen when FOMO kicks in and the Bitcoin network gets clogged up. Will LN perform at all? Will it break? Or will it somehow manage to shove a ton of traffic through? People are generally more motivated to learn new skills if they think they can gain an advantage in the race for insane riches. I will be ready with popcorn.
