Agreed, I am not sure I follow this (recent) conversation either....

Glad to see that block fall

I will take a look when I get home this evening. At first glance it looks nice but I did not have much time to test this morning before work.

I am willing to beta test and have an Antminer S5, S9 and a Rockminer New R-Box. Two of those use cgminer but the S9 uses bmminer.
Can you give me an idea of what you need tested exactly? Instructions?
Thanks!

@ buxlover
Check the signature for -ck and I believe you will find a link to a posting that contains the links for the pool software.

I am back. Power was out for almost six hours. I need to make up for some lost hash time and get my 5N back up into normal range ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I need to another power supply to run my S7 so I guess running the S5 overnight will have to do.

Three blocks already for the first day of the month is a good start. Makes me happy anyhow.
Still time to get a few more...

Good luck with your miner and congrats on the new job!

Agreed, a longer period of time for history would be a great enhancement. Would it be possible to save that history with less detail for a week or even a month, and more detail for maybe 24 hours?
Logging to a csv file is desirable also.

I seem to recall someone else posted about the same thing happening. A single board registering high hash numbers. I do not recall if the error rate was low or not.

Yes, thanks for testing. Encouraging to know that restoring to the default configuration is possible!

I have also found a block on CKPool with a batch 8 S9.

A question, can anyone use Bitmain Warranty for warranty issues? If yes, is the process initiated with Bitmain Warranty?
I thought that was only an option when the unit was purchased directly from Bitmain Warranty.
Thanks!

In order to proceed with this or any other venture in regards to the S9 I would agree that requirements need to be declared upfront on how we would measure success and qualification for payment.
Here are some items to consider for the requirements wishlist:
- Must be open source so that future changes or enhancements are possible from the community at large. No hidden or closed source code. I would not support a one time change in which we are locked with no options.
- Must be able to restore the S9 back to stock using the original code from Bitmain.
I would also propose that any member who contributes have the ability to vote yes or no to release their funds for payment. Also to consider and decide is this an all or none vote in regards to payment of reward. Should we consider the option of a partial payment under the appropriate conditions.
Yet to be determined is how will we evaluate the code to validate it meets our requirements. My ability closely matches that stated by philipma1957 and I do not have the skills or ability to effectively examine and / or validate code.
I think it is only fair to determine the requirements in advance and prior to accepting any potential submissions of code.
My two cents worth. Hopefully we can come up with something workable as we move forward, if that is possible at this point. I am still interested in improvements on the S9 and willing to contribute the funds I previously committed to this project.

Great work here. Thanks for your efforts.
I would also like to see this working on kano.is since that is where I mine exclusively.
Thanks!
