If you don't want to have to have a bank roll you could try making a pvp game with a percentage taken from the winner.

Would be nice to have a famous Japanese gambling(not exactly a gamble) , game called Pachinko. Haven't seen any btc site running it yet.

I doubt thats a game that can be implemented easily . And its not exactly a gambling game.

Never heard of that one before. What kind of game is it?
Pachinko is similar and comparable to luckyb.it. Its like plinko, but I think the japanese game, its quite a lot of fun and I recommend you try out luckyb.it. Can someone correct me if I am wrong comparing luckyb.it and pachinko?

So it is kind of like the falling thing that hits the pegs? I have tried lucky bit and it is one of the more entertaining ones but it being on chain with the tx fees really hurts profits.
Yes it is like a bean drop as well, bunch of pegs and wherever your ball lands is what you win. They have them at some theme parks as well. Lucky.it is great BECAUSE its onchain and you can see everyones bets at all time and its all live, I would rather have it onchain then offchain but I guess you are right about the fees. Unless you are doing really small bets like 0.002 the fees don't really make a difference.

I guess the tx fees would hurt you if you were going to do a martingale technique due to the large amount of transactions required for it to work. I gamble systematicly using that technique so I tend to stay off on chain sites because I would make thousands of transactions a day.

Dota 2 is probably my favorite it is super deep in terms of the game play. It is also super fun and can be very competitive if your in to that.
84  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Turning off miners on: March 09, 2015, 10:05:54 PM
There is also the mentality that even if you are mining at a loss currently at the current bitcoin price in the future if the price goes up you could be making a profit.

Very true... technically speaking, pegging the price of BTC to USD and saying you're mining at a loss is a bit of a fallacy. If you hold BTC and the price relative to USD doubles, you didn't lose anything.

Exactly if you say I am not going to sell until BTC reaches $500 then you would calculate your profits as if it were $500 so you can get the future profitability not the current one were you won't sell,

I think the fluctuaions in the price are just chain reactions of people selling and buying due to changes in price i.e price goes down a bit everyone sells price goes up a bit everyone buys. If you want to find real crashes you have to look at larger time periods.

I do not understand the way the game, the winner chosen at random?  Huh
It supposedly is just like in normal lotter - so yes, it should be total random pick.

He mentioned before that it is provably fair so it generates a random number in a way that can be shown to prove the owner cannot select a person to make win.
He needs to make all the process more transparent to see the list of participants and the way the winner is chosen .

He could release a spread sheet showing all of the math behind it at the end of each week to make the site more trust worthy.

The halving will also have a ripple effect because if the reward is half and the price stays the same then the inefficient miners will go out of the market these miners are probably small and save the bit-coin. I think that it will be a net zero event maybe a small increase but the price will go up once bit coin gains more steam due to supply and demand.

99  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think bitcoin will reach it's $1000 mark again? on: March 09, 2015, 03:09:15 PM
When difficulty or block value make it less profitable than yes.

i'm still thinking that it will reach 1k, much early than the block value, like happened with doge or other alt-coin
I don't think that you can you alt coins to predict the the future price of bitcoin. This is  because very few of them have lasted. The reason for this is because they are made so the creator could make money not as a passion project or an idea.
100  Economy / Gambling / Re: Has anyone here ever made money gambling with BTC? on: March 09, 2015, 03:05:09 PM
I have never won but I also have not gambled a high amount so it is not the end of the world. I gamble mostly to experiment using small amounts or the faucets on the sites if they have one to see if I can get to a point were I can payout. Although I have lost a little bit a few dollars I consider the entertainment I got from doing it worth the money.
