81  Economy / Economics / Re: True wealth comes from income when you sleeping but earning on: July 03, 2024, 09:28:03 PM
3 golden ways are:staking, Investing and DCA.
I believe that when looking for true wealth, someone needs to look for solid investment alternatives which will generate him income while he is sleeping. To fully invest your money in crypto market is a good short term idea, especially for those who have small funds and want to grow it into substantial amounts. However, thinking on long term results, investments outside this market must be taken into consideration, otherwise, I fear true wealth won't be achieved at all, because this market isn't able to return consistent gains continuously. Crypto market is seasonal, working in cycles of highs and lows.

Right now, we are in a good moment of the cycle: the bullish market. But once we enter a bearish season, the profitability opportunities decrease a lot, so you have to allocate your money somewhere else. It's also important to mention staking and DCA won't save you in every cases, especially in the scenario of bear market mentioned above.

Study about investments, talk to smart and experienced people about this matter, try another investments with small amounts of money, just to check how they behave for real. Open your mind for another niches of financial markets which are possibly going to have its demand raised by investors in the upcoming years. Diversify to conquer!
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling winnings should NOT be taxed on: July 03, 2024, 09:11:04 PM
Damn, is your country the same as mine?

Recently, a country very famous for its high taxes (brazil), the discussion about means of applying taxes has been increasingly frequent, even talking about 'sin tax' for games of chance, with the excuse of discouraging gambling sector. But they will continue to collect, the government doesn't care about collective health, so this is just an excuse for them to give the population to justify this high tax rate.
The political class is continuously seeking for raising taxes and creating new tributes, because they are greedy and avid for more benefits for the class they belong. And in order to benefit themselves, they also have to benefit the members of judiciary system, because the parliament votes the wages of the judiciary, and the judiciary votes the wages of the parliamentarians. 'One good turn deserves another' and who pays the waste of money is the average citizen, after all.

Add this to the fact inflation is nuking purchasing power in Brazil. To do so, the political elites have to adjust their wages considering the loss on Real's consumption power, so they aren't affected by inflation like the rest of the common citizens are. The gambling tax is just a drop in the ocean of the abusive ideas brazilian leaders have to "gift" their population with.

Anyway, people deserve it, because if the system works the way it does, it's because this same people went for that. Political idolatry is strong and the most shady actors of the national scenario become sudden heroes in the subverted eyes of the population who is constantly looking for a fake messiah to raise as their savior.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa America 2024 Prediction Thread on: July 03, 2024, 08:54:43 PM
After the retirement of players like Cavani and Suarez, Uruguay's overall condition was somewhat weak. But right now this group is very strong. They have talented players like Nunez, Araujo, Pellistri and Valverde in their squad. And the important thing is that the chemistry between the players is very good. This is why Uruguay performed well in every match of the group stage. Uruguay is expected to win against Brazil as well.
For me it will be a big surprise if Brazil loses the next match against Uruguay, because they have always reached at least the quarter finals of every championships and tournaments they participate. So far, the current Copa America has been more or less predictable in my opinion. We don't have totally surprising results, but few of them are unexpected. Besides the situation of Brazil, another surprise is Venezuela ruling Group B, while Mexico which has been a strong american national team in the previous World Cups is in third position.

But I still think it's possible for Brazil to defeat Uruguay. Probably if Brazil and Uruguay were in inverted places, Brazil would have also won against Panama, USA and Bolivia in this first groups' stage. Sometimes to win or lose in soccer has also a bit of luck involved... Skills and techniques aren't deterministic, unless the players are cold blood and don't get too affected by emotions, like national teams from Netherlands and Germany used to be in previous decades.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for your children & future wealth distribution on: July 03, 2024, 08:39:17 PM
These answers I believe would be achieved through custodial methods, or how else could one achieve this goal??
You are the one in charge of your money when dealing with cryptocurrency, so you should be the one to decide how your heirs are going to have access to that money once you are gone. To rely on third party services such as banks and judiciary system to solve such impasses between the heirs once the patriarch passes away is a dumb idea which always results in further losses and expenses which could be totally prevented if the family was just more organized and transparent beforehand.

Teach you children as soon as possible about Bitcoin. Introduce them to this payment method and investment category, so they will be already familiar with all the essential features once they have to access and manage your funds for real. I believe it's part of the responsability of each father to do this for his future generations and welfare of the family.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The benefits of Gambling on: July 03, 2024, 08:28:14 PM
Absolutely agree with you. Gambling can distract a person from his daily routine and helps to release emotions when it is really necessary. Sports also helps in this respect, but unfortunately there is not always time to get out into the fresh air for sports. If for one reason or another a person can not do sports, then gambling is a great alternative. The main thing that interest in gambling does not cause addiction, but it is enough to limit yourself and your greed.
To find relief from the stress of the daily routine is one of the main benefits gambling proportionate to its enthusiasts. Everyone needs some spare time to relax, forget the problems and occupy their minds with entertaining activities which don't demand a lot of mental and physical effort to be accomplished. If gambling fits this role in someone's routine, it's going to be excellent! Of course, it won't work in the same manner for every individuals, and that is why each person has to know what is benefical and what is harmful for them.

To find out if gambling is benefical or not, the person has to observe what are the impacts of gambling on their behavior and how it affects the execution of their tasks along the day. When there aren't side negative effects, they are fine to continue gambling.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can online gambling compete with national lotteries? on: July 03, 2024, 08:17:36 PM
What do you think? Would you buy tickets in a crypto lottery yourself? And would you prefer it over a state lottery?
Lottery isn't my favorite gambling category. The chances are too low and there isn't too much excitement when playing on them, because you don't play in real time. You just purchase a ticket and wait for the result day. And regards crypto lotteries, the chances of winning are too low, because the tendency is that there is a much larger number of participants on the draw compared to local national lotteries. Maybe to participate minor draws, like the ones we have at casinos' chats, where some portions of cryptocurrencies are shared every hour for the active members it's more entertaining, because winning chances are pretty decent, considering there is a small number of active people on the chat.

However, when we talk about more popular lottery draws which involve larger groups of people from different countries, I think it doesn't worth at all. As an example, we have freebitco.in's lottery, which I have been participating for several years already and never won anything from it. The winning chances are tiny.

To share my wheel result.

Nice. I think your results were pretty similar to mine, although I rolled a bit less spins than you. The pattern is the same: more lottery tickets than everything else, few GTs and cheap satoshis and RP rewards. The only difference is that you made slight superior profit in satoshis and RPs and I collected two more GTs than you. Anyway, congratulations and good job! It demands some effort and patience to accumulate 5046 spins!
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the reputation or guarantee of casino sites being advertised here? on: July 02, 2024, 12:31:53 AM
Does the casino itself worth the blame or bitcointalk forum is to be blamed for convincing bettors to accept any advertised gambling sites to be legit and unwavery to bridge their reputation?
Bitcointalk forum just allow its users to review casinos services through the trust system. Gamblers review the casinos based on their personal experiences. It's expected that a casino which accumulates many positive reviews won't commit any shady acts against their customers, however it's not a guarantee of anything. There are many services which have been reputable and trustful for several years, but ended becoming a scam at some point.

And if it happens, gamblers who reviewed the service previously can't be played guilty by the casino's mistakes, unless they continue supporting and endorsing it while ignoring all the shady actions executed in the present time by the casino in question. Actually, it's expected that gamblers who reviewed a service positively, change their feedbacks to negative or neutral after accusations are proven to be fair and consistent with the facts.

Lastly, has there been any casino site advertised in this forum which has ever bridged its reputations?
Yes and there are casinos which have always been a scam, what didn't prevent them from being promoted here for a long time, although everyone promoting it were negatively rated by different forum members, including the official casino account.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Should Have a to Do List In Case Of winning A Huge Amount on: July 02, 2024, 12:18:32 AM
With all these examples, do you think it is important for gamblers to have a do list in case they win a huge amount, and what are the first steps they should take?
Yes, organization is the key for a correct management. What happens is that these jackpot winners have never seen a huge amount of money in front of they eyes before, so they don't know how to make use of it in a smart and wise way. The money is so voluminous that these people think it will never end, so they don't plan how they are going to use it. They just use it as they wish on the present moment. As consequence, the money drains really fast until nothing is left.

The first step they should take is to list investment categories they should engage to put part of the prize, calculating how much it's going to generate monthly and yearly. If they don't have knowledge about it, they should seek for professional guidance. Since money isn't an issue, it shouldn't be hard to find skilled financial advisors to give them the right direction inside financial market.

Once the prize they won generates extra income in a regular basis, they can feel free to spend the income they are making, without ever harming the initial sum they used to start the investments. This way they can live an entire life without worrying about financial problems anymore, turning that prize into a long lasting asset which will ensure the future of their families for generations, possibly, if correct management is applied.
90  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Should crypto have a 'savings account' option? on: July 01, 2024, 11:55:12 PM
I believe if a carnival like this(https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603808932) can be adopted on crypto avenues, it could go a long way  to help traders safeguard their assets from the volatile nature of the crypto market, becauseI know if things like this were in place, I would not have lost my assets three years back after I made some profits from the massive bull market saw.
That is the main issue with the concept of crypto saving accounts, lending and staking programs: safeguard.

To generate passive income from your holdings, you inevitably have to guarantee third party services direct access to your funds. And if they have access to your funds, it means it's not safeguarded anymore... Hacks, scams and inside jobs are possible to happen, and in positive case, your money is gone forever. There aren't assurances you are going to be reimbursed, at least not totally.

In previous cases, I've seen scammed customers being partially reimbursed by scammy services, but never fully. The law protects the individuals until certain point. For that reason, it's better to simply trust in yourself to protect your money, and forget about "guarantees" given by third party services and sectors of society, which in theory works nicely, but in practice cause little factual impact in society.
91  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World is hell on: July 01, 2024, 11:26:02 PM
Why would the elites wish to destroy themselves in a nuclear full scale war? It seems pointless. The most logical answer is that nuclear weapons are strategically used to boast military supremacy over rival nations and even among the allied ones. They are more valuable stored on the armories than under usage. And even if this world is hell, like you said, to get rid of it or free from it should be heaven then, right?

Anyway, by your words you seem to be really close to the war, so it's expected to have such thoughts coming through your mind quite often. The uncertainity of the global scenario, the anxiety caused by not knowing what is going to happen next, or when this nightmare is going to cease contributes to the belief world is hell and bring you closer to negative emotions, thoughts and impressions, while getting away from the positive and extroverted ones.

Personally, I believe something good must exist. If not in this world, somewhere else in the vast creation of God, in this dimension or in another one. Thinking this way, you can find will and inspiration to face the challenges of daily life and overcome them with mastery.

This has become a real problem now. I have stopped receiving WOF spins. Are any of the premium members stopped getting WOF spins again? I got 3 days and then again it has stopped coming. Please fix this bug. Thank you.

NO spins on 25 and 26th and then again 30th. It hasn't arrived yet today i.e. 1st july. I'll update if I get today.

Plus I have already sent a ticket to them.
I confirm I also didn't receive WoF spins for few days. I should get 16 spins every day. Last time I spinned mine it was June 25, and since then, I have only received 48 spins, which correspond to 3 days of rewards. However, 6 days have passed since that day. There should be the double of spins on my account to be used right now. And it's not just us, many other users are also facing the same problem on their accounts.

Waiting for a statement regards this issue from the new support crew member, CSFBC, on this thread.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 01, 2024, 10:00:04 PM
Does anyone know if Mt. Gox is going to liberate the 9$ billion dollars in crypto at once? Or is it going to be done progressively along the next months?

My fear regards July is that too many Bitcoins are put for sale simultaneously by Mt. Gox's refunded customers, US and Germany governments, and many panic sellers.

News just state redistribution by Mt. Gox is going to happen in early July, but no accurate dates are shared. It just gives opportunity to speculators who have access to inside informations to take advantage of this fragile moment of Bitcoin market.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: acquiring many properties in the name of owning an asset on: July 01, 2024, 04:15:35 PM
My question is that is it advisable to own too many properties that are unproductive with the expectations that they would stand as aids to us in the future or should we just own few assets and make sure they are of the best standards and are generating money for us regularly?
If the properties are unproductive, they can't bring proportionate any aid for us in the future... Therefore, it doesn't make sense to own them, because besides bringing extra expenses to the owner (as we have to pay yearly tributes over our properties), there are also risks the government seize them due to the properties not being used by the owner. So the government takes the property for itself, auction it or give it to the poors through social welfare programs.

Usually, this kind of situation is more common among heirs who received lots of properties from their ancestors and don't know how to maintain their productiveness or how to adapt the properties to the circumstances an demands of the present moment. Then they become obsolete. Internal disputes between family members is also a common reason why we see decaying unused properties.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platform require wager on first deposit before withdrawal on: July 01, 2024, 03:57:52 PM
So I want to hear what can you say about this. Is this even legal and good?
Legal maybe, but never good. They should only encourage gamblers to wager their deposit X times before withdrawing it through deposit bonus promotions, but to force gamblers to do so is too much. It's hard enough already to win from casinos, so they shouldn't even consider this measure against gamblers, as it's going to increase even more the difficult of making profit for gamblers.

The point is: if people just avoided this kind of service and stated they were avoiding it due to those conditions imposed by the house, no other casino would adopt such measures for their services as well, and gamblers would find themselves free from such annoying and abusive withdrawal requirements. The problem is that many people think it's normal, so casinos feel comfortable in creating rules which difficult you profiting from their platforms.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin activity drops to lowest level since 2010 on: July 01, 2024, 03:39:27 PM
that's why i'm starting to think that ethereum will eventually overtake bitcoin in usefulness in the real world since ethereum seems to be upgrading their network and really pushing the envelope. not that i'm a huge fan of ethereum but the writing is on the wall about that. eth has more development efforts going into it than bitcoin for sure.
How is Ethereum more useful than Bitcoin? In what aspects? The only usefulness of ETH I see is the fact another crypto developers need its network to create and launch their own tokens for speculative purposes. And since those tokens aren't reliable on most cases, it doesn't make sense to adopt them thinking on long term goals, as they may fail and die at anytime.

That is where Bitcoin enters as the best alternative among every cryptocurrencies. It's reliable on long term and doesn't rely on altcoins' projects to survive and maintain its top position in crypto market. I think ETH can't overtake BTC, because in the end of the day, it's just another altcoin which depends on Bitcoin success to have its price raisen.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to earn money (cryptocurrency) in 2024? on: June 30, 2024, 09:22:06 PM
More than ever crypto market is full of scammers and thieves, difficulting it a lot for crypto enthusiasts who want to make some extra income inside this industry. Today you put a lot of effort on the tasks you see disponible on the internet without any assurances you are going to be paid anything valuable in the end.

Every opportunities seem to be hit-and-run schemes to grab the money and steal time from naive and working hard individuals who just want to achieve some better life conditions through the internet.

Airdrops, P2P games, altcoins investments, coaches selling trading courses, social media's signals groups... Everyone wants to get a bite on your hard earned money or to use you to boost their projects, so they can bite the funds of other people. It's true this issue has always existed in crypto world, it's just that before we could filter some legit earning opportunities from the scams, although now everything looks a big scam.

Besides signature campaigns on this forum, I don't know anything else worthful and advisable.
98  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Must we call it a mistake? on: June 30, 2024, 09:09:03 PM
People say a pregnancy is a mistake for different reasons. Maybe they weren't consciously and psychologically prepared for that event (even though they should, since they have been having sexual interactions), maybe they don't love each other and don't have long term intentions of staying together and composing a family, maybe they just meant it was the wrong time for a pregnancy to take place...

The point is that once it's done, it's done. It can't be reversed. And the consequences must be embraced by the couple. I don't think it's right to call the pregnancy or the child a mistake, as it's a disrespect to an innocent human being, especially when the ones who created that life say such things.

It should be clear that mistakes could have resulted in the pregnancy, but the pregnancy itself isn't the mistake. To transfer any kind of guilt or trauma to the child is very wrong.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Will AI taking people jobs and make the world worse? on: June 30, 2024, 08:26:29 PM
AI is unstoppable, as technology is. Humans have to adapt to it and reorganize themselves, like they have always did along the history of humanity. The concerns you bring here are the same concerns people had between the transition from the agrarian, rural societies to the industrial ones, and the fact that craftsmanship would be replaced by automatic machines, so the artisans would lose their jobs and income. The same we see now with AI revolution.

It's not possible to say what will happen in the future, but it's possible new concepts and categories of jobs are created and become available, so the market can absorb the exceeding labor force available. At same time, another kinds of jobs and professions will disappear to be totally replaced by machines.

And it sounds really good, because nobody wants to have as professional career to fry potatoes at the MC Donalds for their whole lives. If it's possible a machine does that, let it be. Meanwhile the person who worked there before can occupy his time with something more rewarding and fulfilling.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Was it a Gut's feeling a Mathematical calculation or a Coincident? on: June 30, 2024, 08:13:38 PM
Many gamblers have positive gut feelings and for that reason, they gamble as consequence to following their intuition and instincts. However, only a tiny percentage of them end winning considerable prizes like the man from the news shared on this thread. I don't think it's a mathematical calculation, although I can't assure if coincidence exists too.

This man was lucky, what doesn't mean every other gamblers having gut feelings should use these news to boost their confidence on themselves, because the same results are definitely not going to be achieved by most of them. It's actually quite dangerous to rely on gut feelings, because in some cases they can lead a gambler to addiction and chasing losses, as he keeps repeating to himself "next time it's going to be different", so he will recover his lost money, although it never happens, and debt continues being accumulated until bankruptcy.
