81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: May 18, 2016, 07:53:17 PM
You can diversify your BTC! Don't try to get some roi from dice or casinos becuase the risk is too high.
You can invest in some BTC in a good altcoin, or in a trusted gambling site and a keep a bit in your wallet

Why would you even consider losing so much of a money with gambling. The chance to lose your money with gambling is so big. While if you make a a good investment choice you are sure to make a little bit profit at least...
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: losing 50 bitcoins gambling on: May 18, 2016, 07:50:51 PM
That is a very large amount to lose and I consider that as real bad luck although why would go stay gambling, 50 bitcoins is a lot of money you can do a lot of other things with it to make more or for any enjoyments.
If you can lose such an amount with gambling you know the risk. Which is why I don't feel sad for you, while I would be happy if you had won. So come on, gambe more, maybe you win because gambling is meant to make people rich.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] OPHION - A Secure, Anonymous & Decentralized Market |CROWDSALE LIVE| on: May 18, 2016, 07:47:58 PM
Personally i predict a shining future for the Ophion marketplace, as it is having powerful features making it totally different from the other known marketplaces online like Ebay, Amazon and so on.
And as it's supporting Bitcoin i think the community will support and advertise it as requested, because we need really such market supporting Bitcoin.

Even though I love the effort put forth by the devs, I still remain optimistically skeptical about the whole thing.  Bitcoin has been proven to not be the least bit anonymous and getting more and more easier to track by governing authorities, as you can see from Coindesk's recent article, "New York police win FinCEN award for Bitcoin investigations" ... I just don't see why you should run on the backbone of something that has been proven to reveal identities of people time and time again.  But I like the initiative to start the trial runs of something like this.

Chennan,

I'm fascinated by what you have to say and in the process have asked myself a lot of questions and you are right... very right in fact.

We have yet to start full development, so ideas can evolve and we can change some aspects to the whitepaper whilst keeping an asset/coin system and adhering to what has been bought in ICO so far so the same value applies to the new system.

I want ideas from people here as full development is going to start very soon.

Bitcoin was made to be open and provable, but does that have to be the case with this?
We have a number of obstacles to overcome.

a. If we Don't use the Bitcoin network or another network, we would need our own. This would require a system to prove transactions and keep the network running. Maybe some PoW CPU based.
b. Would we need to show transaction db (blockchain), as long as our network could read it, it could be encrypted and only show address -> address transactions.

We could make this a lot more secure if we were to use our own codebase, it would just take longer development... It would satisfy me as I have built the network I have always dreamed off. We could keep the same features and even add more. We wouldn't need to rely on third party API's like counterparty or third party networks.

Please everyone let me know what you think, we could do this from scratch, As for development time I couldn't tell you right now, I would need to hire more developers. But I am happy to.

Please let me know people, do you want to continue with Bitcoin/API approach? or create our own secure network?

-Sebastian

Well you have to be realistic.
How much time would the project be delayed if we do it the 'good way' Because yes a own secure network is the way to go.

A system with potential should Never depend on another system. Vulnerable systems have no future...
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: May 18, 2016, 07:44:04 PM
Why would people hate the bitcoin if they hate the bitcoin they hate their money so thats not true. People dont know what it is so they dont want to use it
because they dont know what to pay with there are allot of people who want to know what bitcoin is. Only they dont get the change because there is not many publicity for the coin these days.

Yup I do not even think that people to have such relationship to Bitcoin. It`s great idea which can be part of our life, make it easier and better. I do not think about it`s value, just for service which provides.

Exactly, its not always about the price that it holds but we also need to think the benefits that its providing us, and I really don't understand why people hates such an innovative currency.

It's not hate, people are just not informed well enough about bitcoin. Most of them only know it from the media and the media has never been positive about bitcoin. If they took the time to learn and educate themself about bitcoin, they would be positive.

86  Economy / Services / Re: [25 000 - 30 000] BACKLINKS - Improve your Google Rank! - $10 [2 LEFT] on: April 27, 2016, 01:55:41 PM
what type of backlinks you are providing? Do-follow or no-follow? I know some  SEO factors. I know that no-follow links have no worth and importance. no-follow links won't help to increase website's DA(domain Authority) and making Do-follow link in 5 days is like impossible.
I don't know what is your source of work and strategy of making links. but I would like to say 30,000 dofollow links worth thausand dollars. if they are real.

BTW may I know one of your personal site where you implemented these links?

It's a mixture of roughly nofollow and dofollow links. It's a ratio of 1.5:1 or 60/40 respectively. It's a common misconception that nofollow links have absolutely no worth, however, it helps with link diversity; making it look more natural. Also having it not been crawled by Google, doesn't necessarily mean you will not be gaining any awareness. Some other search engines crawl nofollow links also.
As a conclusion, you're still gaining links either way, and as a return, I think 25k-30k backlinks for $10 is easily capable of having a good return.

Can you PM your own sites. I am very interested but i am also very afraid that it will result in a penalty. antyhing over 5k links is never natural.
Playing with do-follow can hepl but i need to see it.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 per Bitcoin ??? on: April 27, 2016, 01:52:54 PM
Anything over  600 is not serious for the short term.
Anything over 4k is not serious for the long term.

If you take that in account you won't get dissapointed because bitcoin is not performing...
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal or BTC on: April 27, 2016, 01:33:56 PM
Paypal for Sure  Cheesy

Right now paypal is way safer then bitcoin when it comes to buyer protection. And it also is accepted in more shps then bitcoin.
So yeah i go for paypal too.
89  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: April 27, 2016, 01:28:24 PM
I have $100,000 to invest but want to safely double it in a year. Any suggestions?
You can set up a small mining farm for that amount if you have some space available.Remember every investment involves risk so there is no way your investment is guarantee to double
To my sense $100k is a very huge amount, the only way to double this amount is investing in any of the methods but it is not guaranteed that it would be safe, more risks are there in investments, so think twice and make wise decision.

It is huge so if you want to double it make sure to invest in bonds. Don't go for something with a very high investors risk. You will end up losing your money.
90  Economy / Services / Re: Feedback for my website (WARNING: ADULT CONTENT) on: April 27, 2016, 01:25:01 PM
I will not going to answer to all of you that were out of topic (saying that the amount is low, etc). This is a forum, some people will do the task while other will not.

I tried it out a little and here's what I have to point out:

You should make the thumbnails bigger so that you get a clearer preview
Make it so that when you hover over a thumbnail you get a preview of the different scenes (hard to explain, just look at any other porn site)
Remove the 5 different social media buttons from the thumbnails. No one ever clicks them, and they take up unnecessary space from what could be a nice thumbnail.
You have too many categories showing on the frontpage. If I were you, I would have only 10-15 of the top categories in the sidebar, but then have a "categories" tab to view all of them instead. Makes it look more though out and clean.
Make the website darker in theme, as stated before, take inspiration from PrimeDice, PornHUB etc.
Invest in a smooth logo! ahum, hire me
When I click on a video and play it, I can't pause it by clicking the video screen. I get taken to the source website. If possible, fix this

Feel free to tip me whatever you wish. Address is in my profile. Smiley

About the above review, it was exactly what i was looking for. I tip you 0.47$ bro. Thanks for your help. https://blockchain.info/tx/ea97324fc413cecb0fc03f2fcf47821cf2b3787f45b084ebe882ee28c9a3641f

Well, I just giving my viewpoint, imo it's not comfort for me to watch porn in website that has light background color, e.g. white, yellow, or sky blue. I guess thats why few popular adult sites like pornhub, youporn, even xotika using dark background for their website. The dark background also be used by several gambling sites, you could take example from few sites on gambling board. About the other things at there, there is no problem, seems good. You dont need to pay my feedback, good luck for your site Wink

Thank you for the nice feedback bro. 0.23$ were sent to your bitcoin address.

To the people with complaints about low amount, remember that Sharing is Caring.

Sharing is caring, but how are you contributing? It would make more sense if you would return the reviewer with a review too.
This way the deal is even and there are no blames that the fee is too low.
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2k in january on: April 27, 2016, 01:21:26 PM
We have just past January and the price was not at $2000. The price was not even near it the price is just moving way to slowly for it to happen. I believe that it will not even be $2000 in January 2017 we are still to far away from and with the halving coming in.

Yeah already we have passed January but the price has not reached $2k as the quote. If halving gives a big effect price might reach $2k by the year 2017.

that is right. $2000 price is not for the January of 2016. It is for the January of 2017. It depends on adoption.
What adoption?

Merchant and consumer adoption obviously. However why would this happened instantl. There are no signs, so no I don't expect it to happen.
A rice to 500 is all we will have.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: April 27, 2016, 01:17:41 PM
yes I save my money for investment. deposit funds into bitcoin is a very profitable thing. Do not ever be afraid to save your money to bitcoin. because bitcoin is so safe and so profitable.

There is nothing wrong to put real money into bitcoin. Bitcoin these days is quite mature when it comes to holding it and using it. It's not something that willl vanish f.e.
93  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I'm going to open a shop on Open Bazaar... what would you like to buy from me? on: April 26, 2016, 09:57:31 PM
I would to see a clothing store on the open bazaar because I did not find any that sells clothing right now.
I love buying clothes with bitcoin and I already done it once with bitcoin t-shirts.
94  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way to buy a lot of bitcoins? on: April 26, 2016, 09:52:08 PM
The best option in my opinion is to use localbitcoins, you can easily find a good dealer with some nice reviews to buy a lot of bitcoins.
It can also be done online of course but mostly there are higher fee's involved.
95  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Price Starting to Go Up.... on: April 26, 2016, 09:41:27 PM
The price will go up to 500. At least that's what I think. I do see room for the price to go higher, but that would be way to optimistic. Better to stay with some realistic figures.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best physical wallet? on: April 26, 2016, 09:38:46 PM
Physical wallets are prone to being lost, wiped, damaged.

I prefer to just memorize the private key.

You seem to be a smart guy if you can memorize your private keys. I stick with a trezor for my big wallets and online solutions like blockchain for coins i want to spend.
Coinbase is also quite good btw.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: April 26, 2016, 09:33:57 PM
Getting rich by the bitcoin is not as easy as people say because its fully laying about the bitcoin itself.
I do not think you can become a millionaire in that year to be honest because the halving maybe will be good but I think after the halving the price will stay normal till 2020 and maybe even longer(stable).
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: April 26, 2016, 09:33:12 PM
The main problem with gambling is the losing side. When you lose you want a revanche or in gambling terms to win your money back.
So you keep playing and playing and losing and losing more.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: April 26, 2016, 09:30:42 PM
We now can still manipulate the price indeed because its still not stable, I think at the end of this year it will change because of the halving.
A lot of people are also trying to manipulate the price by saying to people the bitcoin has not a good future at all.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmers world wide using Bitcoin on: April 26, 2016, 09:29:51 PM
Farmers in 3rd world countries {small subsistence farmers} can use Bitcoin on mobile phones to buy and sell goods without the need to pay huge fees to greedy banks. Most of these farmers primarily

supply their own needs, and can benefit from Bitcoin with the options it gives them to do micro transactions. Farmer A can sell some extra carrots for a few cents and then buy some goods at a local

shop and pay with Bitcoin. If they did that through the expensive banking system, they would have lots most of that income to high fees being charged. Instead of bartering for goods, they can now

use a inexpensive tools to trade with other... If the merchant did not want to trade for carrots, he can still trade with others and buy with Bitcoin.

The thing is, I'm from a third-world country, and farmers here cannot even afford a simple mobile phone that can send and receive bitcoin transactions, so I think the path for bitcoin here for our dear farmers are too narrow to seize the opportunity bitcoin is offering. Also, the irony is, farmers who are providing us the food we need are those who can't even afford to have something to eat for themselves and their family, which is saddening.

It's funny because stellar is already doing this in Africa, with farmers etc.

To me it sounds like a good initiative to get bitcoin more widely adopt.
