Giving the merchant your public key will just let them see your balance, kind of like an email address. Dont give them your private key either, as it will give them access to EVERYTHING in that wallet, like your password. What you want to do is import the bitcoin address into a wallet like Electrum (log in) and then send the bitcoin to the given address (send your email)

Honestly if you want to pay bills, use your local currency. You will have to use your local currency to buy bitcoin, and then sell your coin again. I assure you you'll get pounded by fees.

I've sent you a PM regarding a good manager.
A signature ad campaign does not require permission, it just requires a budget, a drive, and something to advertise.

I would simply tell them that Bitcoin is like PayPal, but not backed by any currency. It is an asset, like Gold. A lovechild of PayPal and Gold.
|
|
|
Bitcoin itself would not be the best cryptocurrency for this, as it is not completely anonymous nor does it have fast confirmation times. It would be better if there were a dedicated altcoin for this.

Damn I really thought Satoshi Nakamoto is a real Japanese guy until I saw this thread which I thought is a joke at first. Anyway whoever created bitcoin is a real definition of a true human. After all service to humanity is the best work in life.
The founder of bitcoin will be revealed in some point of time, but for now it is better he/she stays anonymous because he may be a target for criminals. Fact is that we should be very grateful for his efforts. Well, for his/her/their sake, I hope it is only after they have lived a decent life and died of natural causes before they are revealed. I don't think anyone with a decent heart, and an ounce of sense would want those who cryptocurrency threatens to get a hold of them while their live(s) could still be made miserable in retribution. Yep. Bitcoin and it's protocol has the irredentism l potential affect so many people, for the better out the worse. All it takes is one madman.

1. Core is too big? Prune it. 2. Blockchain.info is online? Set a secure password and make backups. 3. Electrum can import and generate new wallets. Simply click import at the top to import, and when you open Electrum for the first time. You will be prompted to generate a new one.

|

It may be because it encourages centralisation, people listening and tuning in to a certain Central News source. Or maybe, that Core is simply not meant to have all these flashy additions, just the basic abilities.
I'm sure someone could code this into their own wallet, though.

It depends. Do you want to receive bitcoin through the gateway, or do you want to receive Fiat, like USD or EUR? You can easily make your own without fees for the former, but with the latter, i'd say use BitPay.

1. We need logfiles 2. If you have previous experience with Armory, then tell us what exactly is wrong. Can you not connect to nodes? Is the button greyed out? 3. Error messages?

1 confirmation takes alot of resources to rewrite. If you're an everyday user and there's on reason for someone to start attack on you, 1 confo is more than enough. Any more is overkill.
The only time you would really need more is if you're escrowing for many people, or are transferring millions.

Whoo 100tb blockchain. At our current rate of 1mb per block, by the time I die, the size of this blockchain will only be a couple of terrabytes. So honestly, I dunt give a f*ck. Please don't feed the trolls.
But what if it's Bruce Wagner given the OP's propensity for the overuse of ellipses? Gleb... please.

IT's all i am going to say ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fmiguelmoreno.net%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2013%2F05%2FfYFBsqp.jpg&t=663&c=obpz0BCwC-Qlsw) This is incorrect. This information is only valid for physical data, as said, storing a bit of data in the smaller state possible - one atom. Quantum computing however is based on quantum theory and superposition, where an atom is in two states at once, therefore storing two bits of data. That means that we can effectively reduce and replicate data processing cheaply.

It is not necessarily "taboo", just illogical. You are mixing two methods of payment, one reversible and the other one not. Especially when charging a 15% Markup.
No one in their right mind will pay almost $100 more for a bitcoin. This will only encourage scams.

It is simply the new UI update. If you're missing something that was in the previous version, contact support. However for this issue, there's an existing function, as shown above.
Now is a good time to lock this thread. Click "Lock thread" on the bottom left of the page.

Earning bitcoin is not borring. Some investment like minning and etc. can make us borring. We will easily get borring if we just earn litle amount of bitcoin per day or per week but if we earn many bitcoin we will doesn't feel borring. I think at least 0,01 btc or more per week will not make us borring to earn bitcoin.
1. Please don't encourage mining as an "investment". 2. Earning 0.01 a week is horrible. What are you, a child? 0.01 is less than $6 a week. You should be earning at least a bitcoin a week.

You are all thinking like retards. If you have money, you don't spend it. Nor do you work for more money. You get your money to work for you. Invest.

I use a Ledger wallet, soon to be upgrades to a Trezor 2.0 when it comes out. It's super-safe and very convenient to use.
If you're too poor to afford $15 to protect your bitcoin, use Electrum. But honestly, you don't need a wallet at all if you don't have $15 xD

I may or may not. I dont want to make my salary public ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) But obviously not in bitcoin, but the equivalent in Fiat. I get paid a salary, not a wage like you kiddos.

If everyone stopped mining, the difficulty would still be what it used to be, until the next difficulty update. The minimum blocks you would have to mine before the update would be 1, and to mine that block would take almost as long as solo-mining. Years.
