i welcome the planned features. it shows me i had the right pick about the dev team of the coin  Wink
But an estimate about the release dates would be great.

I don't give release dates, but here is a release date

Electrum Server/Client will appear on github later today/tomorrow, just doing some testing and fine tuning.  Grin

Bravo!

Lots of respect to you dev in this Alt world PKB was quite a suprise. Has always come thru with what you've said. Nice to see some cool development along side the parking app itself.

Keep up the good work

Thanks, although we have hit an issue with the electrum server and orphan blocks, so it probably won't be released today.

It was working so well too and then all servers shutdown when it hit an orphan block  Angry

Parkbyte dev, will you consider implementing the vanillacoin Coin++ project? to my knowledge its somewhat of a simple implementation and in return your codebase will be superior and have all the perks of vanillacoin, inclding the upcoming 0confirmation transactions, this means instant transactions, something which would be desirable for this type of coin where speed payment is required. john-connor the dev of vanillacoin has stated he is more than happy to help with an implementation.

some more info on vanillacoin over here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=977245.0

Instant/0 Confirms would be nice, but I would imagine it would require a coin swap etc which I am really trying to avoid.  If it turns out that 0 confirmations are needed I will investigate this route and see if it can be implemented at a later date, I am just too busy this weekend to look into it in detail.

Remember, it is only 60seconds and if the inputs get double spent (i mean really? for such low treansactions ... $0.1-$5) then the ticket could easily be revoked with a notification on the app to say TX failed, resend or get revoked

no coin swap needed my friend. double spend is impossible with vanillacoin. jump on freenode on #vanillacoin and have a with the people there.

Thanks, if that is the case then I will definetly look at it some more, I will add it to my ever growing todo list Smiley

Please backup your Wallet before replacing the QT, I haven't had any problems but always good to have a backup before updating anything.

Updated Windows QT V1.1.0 - Updated Logo & In-Wallet Explorer: http://www.parkbyte.com/ParkByte-WinWallet-v1.1.zip (not a mandatory update)

There were some issues with the Stake Report so that will wait until another release.

Github has also been updated,

Thanks for the update. What is next on the agenda for this project?

Current release plan in order of expected release is

Electrum Server
Electrum Wallet
Basic Android Electrum Wallet
V1 Ticket interface on Android Wallet
QT Redesign, its pretty boring at the moment
PKB Lotto and Global PKB Stats Server
V2 Ticket interface on Android Wallet

No dates/timeframe given for any of the above, just Soon™   Lips sealed Cheesy

Sounds like a decent list of objective to complete. What is the Electrum server?

The Gateway that links the Electrum Wallet/Android Wallet with PKB network (to broadcast TX's, check balances etc) without the need for the full blockchain, pretty much the most important part needed to get the Android wallet working.

can you tell my why my wallet have stopped stakeing ? last stackeing payout was an 11.06.2015

Could be many things, staking is working fine as the network is still generating blocks

Is the wallet synced?
Have you set a reserve balance?
Is the wallet encrypted and unlocked for staking?
What is your network weight?

Could just be because the POS diff is relatively high and your wallet just hasn't found any blocks.

thanks for fast answer my network weight is 121215
the wallest was locked  but i have not do this,  now i have encryptet and it works again

Glad it works again, the wallet has to be unencrypted or unlocked to stake. If you send coins the wallet will lock itself and you need to unlock it for staking again.

Updated QT should be ready on Sat/Sun, it will include an in-wallet explorer and stake report (like NAV: https://i.imgur.com/1ITlFgi.png)

Just a quick note, CryptoID Block Explorer have updated the logo and also zeroed the burned premine from the outstanding coins.

Burned premine can no longer be seen in the richlist/largest wallets but can still be seen by searching the address or clicking here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pkb/address.dws?PArkBytePremineBurnAddressXXXc6K95.htm

I think those are all solid choices, very professional looking.

Anyway to incorporate something like this to the payment app that way you can find/and pay for available parking.

http://www.kusi.com/story/28153685/public-can-vote-to-name-san-diego-downtown-parking-mobile-app

I am planning on integrating some sort of social data collection, this will be linked to the end user lottery. If some data is publicly available that will make the social aspect even better, I shall explore this some more in UK automated space counting is done mainly by siemens so I am sure they have some sort of API to get their data.

-snip-

Yes 75% of the premine is put aside for partnerships with parking companies, the rest is yet to be allocated really.

I haven't really said much about the end user incentives and love the social aspect you mention. Yes I have used Waze before.

For end users I have always thought of some sort of lottery using the App to mark the TX with a specific TX fee or something similar.

Say I allocated 50,000PKB of the premine to run this lottery type promotion for a year that is around 136PKB given away a day divided between 5 randomly selected transactions (half of what is minted a day).

Integrating the social part is a good idea, haven't really visualised it until thinking of the Waze app the first thing that popped into my head is rather than trying to mark the TX with a specific fee, the user just answers a question like "How many empty spaces can you see in the car park? 0-5 5-10 10+", Their answer is sent to a server where they are entered into the lottery and updates an in app map that shows parking spaces available.

I will think some more on that  Wink

New Logos:

Main logo, will be used on website, exchanges, wallets etc.

Alternative logo to be used for sign printing etc where detailing of the car would be expensive/time consuming etc

App Button

24,000PKB has been transfered to crush from my wallet, the original bounty address will stay in cold storage with the premine.

I will start arranging the upgrade of the wallet, logos on the various websites and revise the ANN post over the next few days.

Should also get a couple more stars from Coinssource as POW has ended and PKB has been on an exchange for 45days.

Gys, what do you like in logo #8? I don't understand meaning of that broken car. Also font is terrible.

That's not the finished version. The dev said he would get someone to change the font for logo #8 after some feedback.

I hope it is because that is not nearly a professional looking logo in my opinion. A little polish will go a long way on it though.

#8 isn't the winning logo anyway, the winning final version will be a mix of #5 #6 #7
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ParkByte][PKB][POD Verified] POW Finished - 100% POS - TREX|CCEX|YOBIT on: June 19, 2015, 05:18:32 PM

Any idea for the next update Dev?

We are getting close to the timeframe of the initial planned POW ending.

I will keep to my stance on the no dates approach, there are still 16days until the 60day POW would of ended  Wink

The android wallet should be released shortly after that, The dev creating the android wallet is testing everything at the moment to ensure it works as it should. (Yes, I am outsourcing the android wallet)

Until I get my hands on the wallet I am unable to start arranging meetings to start the formal process of partners, In the meantime I am putting together a full business plan, once complete I will update the parkbyte website with detailed information about adoption bounties, end user lottery etc

Today I have discussed the logo's with a friend from the industry and have decided on a winning logo, I will update you all once I have the final version.

Obviously I need to get the wallets remade with the new logo so are there any QT wallet features anyone would like added?

880 sats! wow did this die off hard. A week ago it was 2k.

It has been around 1k for a week, maybe touching 2k every now and again.

Yes someone dumped a huge 390.45108424 PKB between 999 and 876, cheap coins I say.

I like mine the best. Probably would have been better to only send in 2 ideas rather than spread possible votes across so many designs :/

For Nr. 8 I have to say (in my own personal biased opinion) it's missing some edge. It's a sad generic cartoony looking car with an unreadable font. Gimme something witty, something "designed".

And adding that my own designs are up for criticism too if anyone wants to have a go at it.

Votes are only for a gauge for me, I will combine similar votes and take the decision.

I am torn what direct to go
#8 - Simple, there is something about it that I like
#10 - Simple, bitcoin themed B but P should be white i think
#12 - Simple, themed on the international parking P

#11 - Looks great, reads well
#5 - Looks great, reads well
#7 - Nice app button to go with #11/#5

I will be gettings some revisions from #8 based on comments made, so if anyone would like to revise their entry please email them to me in the next 24hrs.

Well so far looks like #8 is winning with the votes, I like it and it does meet the initial spec of being simple and corporate looking and "I can envision this symbol on things like google maps, and recognize it, in every day life" as nickhiggins123 said

I will leave it open to comment/vote for the next day or so and will announce the winner after.

I like number 8 the most too, but when I tried viewing it on a small screen the text changed from looking like "PARKBYTE" TO LOOKING LIKE "PARHBYTE" The letter K appears as a letter H on very small screens. I'm not a graphic designer but there must be a way to make it appear correctly on small screens.

You are right, it does look like a H, I have asked for a revision.

8 is win? :-( The real car at 4 is much better than this at 8 :-(  Grin

Not yet, these comments and throwing me back and forth

My wallet stopped working today not syncing any help?

Try adding the nodes in parkbyte.conf, I will check the hardcoded nodes to make sure they are still up and working.

Most recent node list can be found here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pkb/#!network

Did the logo numbers for voting change? I like #7 but I thought was labeled as #8 yesterday.

No they haven't changed, although I can see how you can get confused on my phone

Here is a screenshot of how they are numbered
