81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: StarshipDoge is the next Shiba Inu! on: September 30, 2023, 03:24:10 PM
What project is this OP, at least before you promote the project first research whether this project is suitable for the public or not.  I wonder where this project can surpass Shiba Inu, even though Shiba Inu is a meme coin that is not as good as Doge Coin, the best meme coin that has survived to this day.  Don't dream friends for the coins you make
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON as a national currency. on: September 30, 2023, 03:15:15 PM
What steps can a country leader takes before adopting POLYGON as a means of payment or transactions in a country with low level of education. As it's known to be one of the best user friendly platform for easy transactions.

I think even if polygon is friendly, it will never be able to become a country's national currency.  where there are too many processes to make it into currency, the first step is outreach to the lay public.  Those who are too lazy to discuss this need proper rules.  manage distribution and field implementation later
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i invest in this project or not on: September 30, 2023, 03:09:38 PM
During fomo, maybe this coin is so valuable that people are talking about it, but this coin won't last long if it doesn't have unique criteria and suits the interests of society in general, and keep in mind investing in new projects is very dangerous in my opinion, where the level of loss can be  reaches 75℅ if this coin has no more fomo
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: September 29, 2023, 02:55:48 PM
It is known to all gamblers that once you become addicted to gambling it is impossible to quit. I have been gambling on gambling sites since many years ago and at first i was lost lot of money but later won lot of money. Personally i can say that when i deposit money in a gambling site and play the aim is to double the money so i don't worry if all the money is gone suddenly. On the other hand no one introduced me to gambling sites and i took the idea on my own research. I made myself a gambler through some articles and videos.

It's true what you say , is difficult for a gambling addict to change, but if you definitely intend to reduce gambling,  you can do it , especially if you already have a family, you have to reduce your gambling.
to double the money doesn't have to be actually with gambling  Tongue
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: September 29, 2023, 02:37:49 PM

do you think gambling companies shouldn't exist, their use should be more strict or people should have their freedom to use it if they want but we should provide more educational resources for people to learn and protect themselves so they don't fall victims of their own lack of control?

interesting to think about it.

I think gambling companies are difficult to close if they have become a necessity for someone's life, but as you said there should be limits or socialization for players in the future so that users can limit their games so they don't become addicts.

86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 29, 2023, 02:22:25 PM
Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

A child's curiosity is very big, especially if the child already has a personal cellphone, their curiosity is very enthusiastic, especially when they see gambling games like ordinary games, your problem is the same as mine, at first my child only played ordinary games like Roblox, Minecraft, I don't know. where did my child's cellphone come from with a slot gambling application, at that time I explained that this game was not for a child to play and I said this was part of the sin
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cryptocurrency illegal in some countries? on: September 28, 2023, 02:43:31 PM
I think not in some countries but almost all countries do not support bitcoin,
sometimes one country's reasons are also unclear when it comes to legal and illegal for bitcoin
but the main reason every country rejects btc is that they don't want to let their citizens use Bitcoin to avoid taxes for security/investments and wealth owned
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Can play its role to overcome the Financial Crises on: September 28, 2023, 06:45:32 AM
I think bitcoin is only for managing personal finances but not recommended for the country
But it cannot be denied that with Bitcoin, sending money across countries is easier
and let me emphasize a little that crisis is just a word
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep safe the mnemonic phrase - Whats Your method? on: September 28, 2023, 06:36:09 AM
I don't want to make things difficult for myself, I save my seeds in 1 flash disk and 1 special book because I'm the type of person who is forgetful so I think a flash disk in a book is the right place to store my seeds.
90  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting Exchanges Like Betfair, exbit etc on: September 25, 2023, 09:07:30 AM

Are any of you regular visitors to https://sx.bet/ ?
Does accept Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals?
Unfortunately they seem to only accept WSX, USDC and Ether from what I see there. But I would be interested in feedbacks from people using it. Is it a good betting exchange? They have an ANN thread here? Which betting exchange is the best one for crypto users? Do you have tried some of them personally DUPONDIUS? Xfun.bet has not been mentioned above, but they are also offering lay betting there, only in XFUN tokens(through Polygon) though. https://lay.xfun.bet/

Quote
SX Bet supports betting in WSX, USDC or Ether (ETH). USDC are cryptocurrencies pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar, meaning 1 USDC = $1.00.

There is no deposit minimum!

The SX Token (wrapped version - WSX) can be staked to earn daily staking rewards, reduce betting fees and participate in governance.
https://sx.bet/wallet/fund

Not bad for this, especially using a polygon network, okay, I'll try to learn it
In fact, whatever form it is in, as long as it can still be exchanged for BTC on another exchange.  I don't think there's anything wrong ,  if  trying it. @DUPONDIUS
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 25, 2023, 08:52:58 AM

Check the Casino's Reputation, Before you jump into any online casino, take some time to research its reputation. Find out if others have used this casino and whether they've been able to successfully withdraw their winnings. A trusted casino should have a track record of fair payouts.

Reputation is the starting point for entering gambling, but a good reputation will be obtained by old sites, not new gambling sites. As we also know, this forum has many gambling sites on offer and almost all of them have a good reputation.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling with Cryptocurrency on: September 25, 2023, 08:44:56 AM

Best practices
  • Setting a loss limit

In this case it felt difficult for me to do in the past, sometimes defeat made me upset and I kept trying without realizing that my finances were bad,
but for now I can control my finances to play the game. and it is true that by setting a loss limit we can control our finances so that they are not completely drained by gambling

94  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: August 02, 2023, 03:29:46 PM
I tried to build some business and it do make money for me but it is still unprofitable. I was close down the business after 3 months, I realize my shortcomings was the location, the location is little bit too far from my target customers also it is in a big road which very crowded and very difficult to reach. Now I realize that it's not only about the traffic but it's more about the easy access. I will try to be better if I have another chance. I think you should close it now and try other business.

location is indeed something that must be considered in doing business or opening an offline business, but if you also open an online shop I think it can cover existing losses, especially now that offline market enthusiasts have decreased, people prefer to shop online, so this might be your consideration when starting Do business again,  with online shop options provided on the trade platforms offered in your country
95  Economy / Economics / Re: The American Dream. What is Your Country's Version of it? on: August 02, 2023, 03:18:15 PM
My country doesn't have a version of the American dream. Maybe my country's deviated version of the American dream would be to have a rich relative and use his connections and influence to help me get a good job and climb the social ladder. This is nepotism/crony capitalism basically. Grin Unfortunately nepotism is more cherished than hard work where I live. USA isn't what it used to be. The amount of immigrants doing to America trying to chase the American dream is decreasing every year. USA is turning slowly into a shithole and that was pretty much expected.

I have an the same  opini with you . where to become the country of the American dream is very difficult in my country too, if nepotism is very thick not to mention corruption everywhere, even for more broken legal problems where there is money will have less/lighter prison time than people who don't have money
96  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: August 02, 2023, 03:10:20 PM
Inflation is happening everywhere, not just in your country. Whatever happens, just face it because it is already an economic regulation. Inflation is not fully impacted by Russia and Ukraine. There are many factors that make inflation worse.
every country has its own way of dealing with inflation, it should be, but that's not our business, we only think about our family's needs, enough to survive is better, your savings problem is out of control, just enjoy it when inflation is over, your savings will come back , remember your goal of saving before so don't complain too much
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: August 01, 2023, 12:59:01 PM
not too strong for me because there are many needs that I have to fulfill, little by little I have released my btc and now the remaining btc that I bought when btc was priced at 40k $ and above yesterday, and I will survive for 2024 with the remaining btc that I have however if I could afford it I would repurchase periodically
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC asked Coinbase to halt trading in everything except BITCOIN, CEO says on: August 01, 2023, 12:52:46 PM
this news is surprising, with this news the value of bitcoin has strengthened, but it is very unfortunate that if this is true, what will happen to other altcoins?
there will be concern for altcoin owners in the end, and even close the possibility that all altcoins will disappear from the crypto world and crypto will not have a story like altcoins accompanying bitcoin to the moon like the previous story

does coinbase not think about the losses that will be obtained if the deletion of attcoin trades later. I wonder why the SEC is always looking for loopholes to eliminate crypto from world financial circulation

100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 20, 2023, 12:01:47 AM
we can't force someone to own bitcoin because there are a lot of reasons why people don't believe in bitcoin, we hope for mass adoption but not to force people to own bitcoin, I personally won't force people to own bitcoin because I know the risks that exist and I'm afraid if people blame me when bitcoin doesn't go through a bad situation at a price like an example the price of btc once reached 60k$ and see until now it's still standing at 30k, the possibility will come back its true  but for people who don't have patience I can be accused of cheating if in the country me
