81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning the Euro 2024 Tournament? on: June 05, 2024, 12:18:44 AM
You predict Portugal not "we".
They mentioned "we" at the end because they could be a group of people as they also run a gambling site.

Anyway, i'm also leaning on Germany or France to win it all even though England is the team with the best odds of taking home the trophy, I still have some doubts since they tend to disappoint in the crucial matches.

I still like Portugal's chances, but i'm not that confident in them to have a deep run despite their squad looking solid.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: June 04, 2024, 04:30:20 PM
Maybe some new leadership was all they needed. Because m0nesy had always been a good player. So it was really disappointing to see how they were dropping in performance as a team for the last 6 months. Not winning much of anything since the new source came out.
Let's hope they are on the right track now with Stewie2k at the helm or was he just a temporary fix to get over this hump for their premiere title in CS2?
That's what I also thought when Stewie stood in for G2, the change of pace probably gave them the push to play this well.

Regardless of the success, it's unlikely for them to bring Stewie in because he wasn't that much of an upgrade over Hooxi and I think it's just the other players from the side of G2 stepped up big time during this tournament. Also, they're lucky that a couple of good teams suddenly underperformed like Mouz and Faze.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 04, 2024, 02:11:49 AM
LOL.. Who knew that the G2 team, which came to the tournament with a substitute player, would win the cup, and I would probably choose Vitality. The absence of HooXi gave G2 the cup, I think it shouldn't happen anymore. Stewie has done well even though he hasn't played in the pro arena for many years. Stewie, maybe the team can become permanent and they can make a new contract after this tournament.
Yup, it's so random and the last time I can recall we saw a CS team this successful with a stand-in was when s1mple played for Team Liquid. I still have doubts about Stewie potentially being picked up by a team because he didn't stand out as much when you look at his stats.

China on the other hand has 3 slots on Riyadh master which is pretty weird
They probably based those extra slots on the EPT leaderboard as G2.IG and Azure Ray are the next two teams that could've received an invite.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Q02 - Promotion of casinos through streamers, youtubers and others :) on: June 04, 2024, 01:40:56 AM
1) Do you watch/follow any streamers, youtubers or other social media people who focus on promoting any type of gambling?

2) If yes, what is your reason for doing so? (I have some opinions but would like to get responses from more people  Smiley)

3) If yes, do you play or have you at least tried the casinos promoted by these streamers? (have you made a deposit yourself?)
I follow a bunch of gambling streamers mostly the popular ones like Train and Rosh, even gaming streamers who sometimes gamble on the side because of their streaming contract or sponsor.

I used to watch them back then because I find their streams enjoyable like watching a friend gamble his money away, but then it started to feel repetitive so I eventually moved on to other streamers.

I already played in these casinos even before they got promoted, but i'd rather do my research first than try them blindly.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you understand entertainment? on: June 04, 2024, 01:01:06 AM
One of the many ways to understand entertainment IMO is to compare it with your other hobbies aside from gambling. Some of the posts from the previous page gave good examples and for me, it's mostly about participating with a group of people, and in gambling, it's like joining a betting pool. At first, you don't expect it to be that entertaining, but once it's over you'll eventually realize how fun it was and look forward to the same kind of activity.
86  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Payout In Error - Should i advise them? on: June 03, 2024, 11:36:07 PM
They should eventually notice what's happening behind the scenes if you keep winning and withdrawing every other time, but if you want to help them, it's better to give a heads-up about the issue.

Who knows, instead of confiscating your balance after reporting the issue, they could be generous enough to let you keep your winnings.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can easily find 3 odds games on casinos but hard to find on sport on: June 03, 2024, 04:47:08 PM
I thought before that sport is better because I can analyze market but I did not know that I was deceiving myself with the analyses.
There could be other factors why you're struggling to win on sports betting like the sports you're betting on. Not all sports have the same level of unpredictability, and live betting is too volatile to the point it can burn a big chunk of your bankroll very fast if you don't always keep track of your bets.

I used to enjoy live betting at some point, but I had to stop because it's easy to fall for those live odds and I remember it's one of the addicting parts of sports betting as it encouraged me to start chasing my losses.

Vitality @1.38 v G2 @2.80 in the grand final today. I think G2 have a chance here and can make the bettors playing on the underdog really happy.  Smiley
G2 made it happen and beat Vitality 2-1. I'm glad I didn't make a bet on this match because I would've gone with Vitality assuming they're back on form after taking down Team Spirit.

Currently, I am watching the grand finals for this qualifier in North America. The match is up with Shopify Rebellion against nouns.
The score is 1-0 in favor of SR but this is different since there will only be one team to qualify there so it's a best-of-5 series.
Nouns finally came out on top with the reverse sweep and denied SR their slot for the Riyadh Masters, it's been a while since we saw SR get dethroned.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet against the club you support? on: June 03, 2024, 02:59:49 AM
I'm willing to place a bet against my team if it means I get to win some money, but it becomes another story when i'm a part of a football club and i'll be betting against one of their matches. I'd rather not risk losing my job over a one-time bet since there's a conflict of interest. In sports betting, you sometimes have to set aside your emotions and learn to take the opposing side except if you're working for a club or team.

Also, here's a link to the betting incident in case others are curious about the details.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell me the unexpected problems you've encountered in a casino? on: June 03, 2024, 01:25:39 AM
One of the unusual problems i've faced before was when my account got suddenly restricted. I only noticed it once I couldn't send messages in their casino chat, and the live support started questioning the possibility of linked accounts. My only solution at the time was to explain my case in both the ANN thread and through that support ticket and tell them what happened, in the end, I didn't have to go through KYC and everything was back to normal.

That previous round was unfortunate, I thought my other tennis prediction would end in a draw to force a 3-3 finish, but nope, Hurkacz's match had to be scheduled a day early.  Tongue

    • Renato297 4-2 ralle14
Congrats on your third win @Renato297, you're starting to become like Everton with these sudden wins and draws in the past few rounds.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you ignore/resist cheating to secure a winning bet? on: June 03, 2024, 12:13:27 AM
With how casinos have been stepping up their security checks, i'd pass up on the opportunity to cheat because you still have to go through the withdrawal process which can take forever. It's only a matter of time until they find these suspicious activities on your account and reject your withdrawal requests. As one of the gamblers who play for fun, i'm not that desperate to win and it's not always worth losing an account's progress now that most casinos offer different kinds of reward programs.

    94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 01, 2024, 01:30:08 PM
Dang, too bad though. I probably wouldnt take live bet on cs2 ever again. I mean the game progress really fast and by the time the bet got accepted by bookies, score could have change by 1-2 points already so sometimes its kinda makes me feel anxious lol. I'd rather take pre bets on cs2 though
Same, the live odds sometimes overreact after the buy rounds and once the round is over it'd take a few moments before the odds stabilize.

Who are your favourites?  Smiley  I'm going with G2 and Spirit. I feel like Spirit have a good potential to even become champions from now on. Vitality look more unbalanced after losing to 9z.
Those are my bets for later today, and i'd feel like 9z is more likely to pull off an upset if there is one in the semis.

    95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: June 01, 2024, 01:01:01 AM
What's with this? what region is Bald Reborn playing? I'm trying to look for them but I haven't seen them. But I get it about these qualifiers and some throws here and there can happen just to secure some slots and whichever amount they get after the RM, they'd probably share. We don't know, if ESL will do some investigations about it and finds out that they're being cheated through selling games one after another, they'd for sure going to get banned and they are not going to like that. IMO, it's just so crazy when some twists happens but every team wants to get their share with the $5M prize pool.
As boltz mentioned, they signed up in the MENA quals but fell short against V-Tune's stack (Night Pulse). The region qualifier over there is like a free-for-all with EU and SEA teams trying to snag a spot for the closed qualifiers.

Also, the underdogs on IEM Dallas aren't stopping with G2 stunning Faze in a 2-0 fashion while having a stand-in (Stewie2k).  Shocked
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: suspected case of football betting fraud in Italy on: May 31, 2024, 01:15:19 AM
Recently, we saw a case about an NBA player getting banned due to prop betting so this one is not that far off from becoming a reality. From how I see it, there's a decent probability for the case to be true once they get more evidence because if you were in the shoes of someone playing for a professional team, you'd always do what's best for the team and an unnecessary red card makes the situation questionable.

But I do not understand what cheating shops are, all I know are betting shops which can be used to bet.
Maybe there's a typo in between and you're right it should be betting shops instead of cheating shops.

    97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 31, 2024, 12:00:55 AM
As much as I want to see the extension of this series and Timberwolves win. I want to see the finals as soon as possible and the odds are better with the Dallas than of them.
I also placed my bet on the Mavs, and I assume Lively is going to play in this game now that he's not listed as out or questionable in the updated starting lineups.

There's no Scott Foster to help out the Timberwolves and with most of their games going down the wire, give me the team with the better odds.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: May 30, 2024, 11:22:02 PM
Took the special for the NBA's playoff matchup for tonight and applied your strategy too see which odds would be better and these are the results:
Best of luck on the Mavs bet, I also think they can close the series today, and like rohang mentioned, Luka is always getting enough points to hit the over so it only comes down to the Mavs if they can win or not.

Tried to boost the odds but putting it on the special didn't seem to work.

note: just tried to apply the price boost feature to the betbuilder to compare the odds to the special and it worked:
The one I posted the other day was a rare case, it doesn't happen regularly because the special odds would also adjust, but it doesn't hurt to always check in case there's a big difference between the two.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Am 74% for plat iv how to wager without loss on: May 30, 2024, 03:46:58 PM
One of the few ways you can pull that off is through their casino and sportsbook promotions, even then we're lucky enough if Stake would put up a +EV promotion because they're quick in upping the difficulty of their promotions.

Aside from that, the drops and codes they give out through their weekly stream could help alleviate your losses while progressing and put you one step closer to breaking even. I just don't know how much you'd be losing on average per $10k wagered.
    100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 30, 2024, 02:31:43 AM
I assume that waiting for the odds of the favourite e-sports teams to increase is a good tactic. Cheesy
Congrats on winning your Faze bet during their series against VP, i'd assume you got those live odds after they lost on VP's map pick. Catching good live odds is always a good strategy, you can even catch bigger odds if you can time it correctly during the mid-rounds.

Team Spirit are looking like dark horses of the tournament with their win against NaVi earlier and currently playing FaZe clan.
I remember they're one of the favored teams (top 2-3) to win the tournament based on the outright odds, so the bookies knew they'd have a deep run.

I'd say 9z is the real dark horse of this tournament, no one expected them to top Group B beating Mouz and Vitality.
