Amazing, not mining with it yet though.
Also, it is XFX, so the warranty should transfer.
Hmm I might be interested in this. But are you 100% sure warranty can transfer? I think XFX's new warranty policy is no more 2nd lifetime warranties. At least this is how it is on the new cards.

I requested about a week ago, but still stuck here. How often do mods look at these threads, and what curriculum do they look at to make the decision?

Sigh*... I'm in stuck in this section ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Requested to get out like a week ago but I guess I'm not approved yet. If this procedure is done manually, then there's some inconsistencies here. I don't see much spam from other forums, and yet they don't implement this "newbie section" restriction. Most of the spam is prevented in the registration process I think.

Are we even allowed to buy/sell stuff in this newbie section?

Thanks guys. For now, I bought one video card to start mining, and I bought a little bit of BTC to speculate also. I'll see which one would net me the most before deciding to spend on a dedicated rig vs buying more BTC to speculate.
It seems the BTC value does not swing much to make much money though. Here is to hoping....

Hmm interesting. So Lightcoin uses the CPU to mine instead of the GPU? When it comes to bitcoins, the GPU is on magnitudes faster, so is there any way to get the GPU to mine lightcoins as well? What about using nvidia cards? So how do I get a free lightcoin? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Apparently after requesting to get out of this newbie section, I'm still here so I guess I'll just ask this question here first. Mining bitcoins looks pretty interesting, but based on the current difficulties and BTC value, I'm wondering if I should mine or buy BTC to invest.
I currently don't have a dedicated computer to mine with, but my current computer I'm using right now is able to hold only ONE video card. The cost of buying only one video card to start mining is not that much, but one video card will hardly generate any notable amount of BTC. But if I'll want a full dedicated miner, then I'll need at least a rig of 3 video cards, which I'll need to invest much more money to buy all the other hardware too. Is it more wise to spend the money on hardware and get a small steady income of BTC, or use this money to instantly buy the BTC and try to speculate to earn more BTC this way?

Me too, I would like to know what criteria the admins are looking for to get someone out of this section. I'm obviously not a spam bot or any of that sort. I would like to ask a question in the real sections, because I know senior members do not visit this newbie section to read the questions here.

Ah a whitelist reqest page, how useful. Can I please request to get out of this section? I've been lurking on this forum for about a month and wanted to post so I registered. No idea that once you register, it only limits you to the "newbie" section.
Thanks admins.

To have zero risk from a wallet, can I just not have one?
For example, I can just accept BTC directly into my mtgox account, and if I need to pay someone with BTC, with draw the BTC from my mtgox directly into the other person's wallet/mtgox account. Would this be safe?

I just found out I can't post in the forum yet except this section ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) What do I need to do to be considered "non-newbie"?
