81  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cloud mining on: September 04, 2015, 05:08:19 PM
Cloudmining is very risky as companies can easily run away with your funds or run a ponzi, showing no proof of mining. Even with lots of reputation, they can still be a scam, for example AMHash. In most cases, cloudmining would result in a high possibility loss and a low possibility of profit due to the high maintenance fees. However, some good cloudmining companies are hashnest and bitx.
I agree. But even with good cloudmining companies such as hashnest and bitx there is no guarantee that you will make profit. Only invest what you can afford to lose. Right now due to high maintenance fees the possibility to loss is very high.

The Most Important Rule of Investing: Never Make an Investment if You Couldn't Afford a Total Loss
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin stress test on: September 04, 2015, 01:57:14 PM
Is the Bitcoin stress test already started? What is the schedule?
Yes it's started. You can watch the pile of unconfirmed transaction and optimal fee at https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC. Such things have no schedule but I don't think it will last for long and it will make no harm to BTC.

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If CoinWallet.eu is stressing BTC... Do you support stressing CoinWallet.eu? on: September 04, 2015, 12:41:58 PM
I think they are free to do anything they want to. I don't see it as an act of vandalism or any sort of action that tantamounts to sabotage. At least it tells us one thing, that bitcoin is obviously not ready for future acceptance.
The fact is that they don't tell us something new or something that we don't know, so their action is just vandalism or they try to promote their shady operations.
The miners don't have any problem from that, on the contrary they get more profit from increased tx fees, only the end users suffer some tiny BTC losses or delays.

86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If CoinWallet.eu is stressing BTC... Do you support stressing CoinWallet.eu? on: September 04, 2015, 12:10:02 PM
Watch the https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC for updates about "Unconfirmed Transactions",  "Optimal Fee / Kb to get into next block" and "Low Priority Fee / Kb to get into a block within 2 blocks".

Coinwallet.eu that conducts the stress test has some BTC to lose to promote their shady operations and miners will get more profit from the increased tx fees..

If I conduct a web Traffic attack against coinwallet.eu and name it "capacity stress test" to prove that their infrastructure is not big enough to handle future increase in their customer base, I will be a criminal breaking the law in UK because I wasn't invited by coinwallet.eu to conduct the test. The same, I think, applies to their stress test because nobody has authorized them to conduct such a test against the Bitcoin infrastructure with consequences such as delaying transactions, but they feel safe because the Bitcoin infrastructure has no owner to file a lawsuit against them claiming damages or loss of profit.
I think the Bitcoin foundation can create a bounty / donation address to raise money so that it can hire a law firm to study the cyber security laws and how they can file a lawsuit against them or anyone with criminal behavior against Bitcoin infrastructure.

In the meantime you can use https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC if you have some urgent block explorer work to do.

Νέο spam attack στο Bitcoin δίκτυο

http://www.bitcoin-gr.org/?p=3073

Unconfirmed Transactions = 12,486
Optimal Fee / Kb to get into next block = 0.00003992 BTC
Low Priority Fee / Kb to get into a block within 2 blocks = 0.00000653 BTC

EDIT: blockchain.info is up μετά σχεδόν από 8 ώρες.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin stress test on: September 04, 2015, 09:18:01 AM
Bitcoin will survive as before.
Watch the https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC for updates about "Unconfirmed Transactions",  "Optimal Fee / Kb to get into next block" and "Low Priority Fee / Kb to get into a block within 2 blocks".

EDIT: If you have urgent transactions that cannot wait, set the transaction fees according to https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC "Optimal Fee / Kb" to get it confirmed quicker, during the stress test period. The data are updated in real time.
Coinwallet.eu that conducts the stress test has some BTC to lose and miners will get more profit from the tx fees..
The end users will suffer some tiny BTC losses due to tx fees or delays but nothing serious to harm the BTC ecosystem.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinWallet says Bitcoin stress test in September will create 30-day backlog on: September 04, 2015, 09:12:05 AM
At the moment https://blockchain.info is down for maintenance and according to https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC:
Unconfirmed Transactions = 12,486
Optimal Fee / Kb to get into next block = 0.00003992 BTC
Low Priority Fee / Kb to get into a block within 2 blocks = 0.00000653 BTC
data values are updated in real time at https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC

92  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 04, 2015, 06:40:54 AM
What would be the limitations for unverified account?
The limitations are the mainly the card limits. For example max Lifetime Load is $2,500 and max Lifetime ATM withdrawal is $1,000. Read the OP (first post) for more details.
IMHO the unverified account is like a gift prepaid visa card, good enough to test drive the card and if you like it then get verified to unlock the card limits.
In my case the verification process took about ~ 12 working days.

94  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 03, 2015, 01:33:39 PM
Wohoo just got to understand this thing, and its shipped to my country as well awesome, getting one this instant, thanks for the explanation guys.

How fast is the shipping? Did you receive the card on time and in good condition?
I live in Europe and i received the card in 5 working days in good condition via plain mail service.
I'm in europe as well, can you tell if using it was as easy as a ATM card?
Yes. Same operations as a Visa Card issued by a bank.

96  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: Bitchain ATM is running again in Athens!! on: September 03, 2015, 12:57:11 PM
Hi Kimet,
inform us when the ATM is operational and Stacs is ready to welcome the bitcoiners..
I think it was a hasty anouncement from you for a service not yet fully operational. IMHO bad marketing decision. The "We running in Greece again!" shoud be "We are in Greece again!. Operational soon. Stay tuned."

EDIT: Thank you @papdoc for saving our time. @Kimet i'm happy that i will have one more option in my country to buy bitcoins.
97  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card PIN CODE STOP WORK SAY WRONG PIN BUT THIS PAUZE on: September 03, 2015, 12:23:53 PM
....
i wait your answer
Help My Situation?
HOW I RESET OR FIX MY PIN CODE?

the mistake with PIN code is most probably caused by incorrect entry (this is the reason in 99% of such cases). ...
I'm very curious what cases belong to the 1%, can you mention some?
If i forget my PIN and i try to enter it in a ATM a number of times with error responses, will it be blocked as a security action?
And if the PIN will be blocked what can i do to fix the situation?

99  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: BTCGreece Νεα όρια εως την 01.09.2015 on: September 03, 2015, 06:06:50 AM
100  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: Συζήτηση - 2-way Bitcoin ATM in Athens on: September 03, 2015, 05:50:37 AM
Sad
Grin

EDIT:
