Could it happen that a botnet would gain 51% of the hashing power?
20% seems like a big number to me already.

And that's why people need to get more miners online. And mining for either themselves or in a number of different pools.

If someone would be trying to shut down bitcoin, mining blank blocks would most likely only slow down the network.

There would most likely be at least someone (or a pool) still mining and mining transactions to keep the network moving.

If that miner would suddenly dump all of his/her bitcoins into an exchange, it probably wouldn't have much of an effect unless there would be many bitcoins.

On BTC-e, you click on Finances, then you click on deposit.

Copy the address it gives you, then paste it into the place where you are withdrawing NMC from.

Then just wait till it makes a transaction to it and it will arrive in BTC-e, where you can trade it or move it to a different wallet (if you want to).

ScamCoin seems legit Smiley

At least the ScamCoin license is better than the SolidCoin one.

Are there any others?

Namecoin?
Please don't mix solidcoin (aka scamcoin) with other currencies

Scamcoin has NOTHING to do with others, it's just scamcoin.

SolidCoin != ScamCoin

and

ScamCoin != SolidCoin

join this quiz to win BTC or GLBSE shares ! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=70132.0

But I know nothing about the quiz subject...

Is there another quiz that offers BTC or any other things that one should know about?

I already use dailybitcoins and some other new (or maybe it has been around for a while) coin service that gives me some BTC everyday.

So I'm new here, as the subject states.

To be honest, I only came here for https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=69356.20 , but my luck... I can't post there (or don't think I can) yet.  Sad
