81  Economy / Economics / Re: Credit cards | A scam or a tool? on: November 16, 2021, 04:01:14 AM
What's your take on this? Are you against credit card usage?
I don't have a credit card as I think that when you take loans just for your needs and wishes, it is a path to poverty. If you want to become financial free, you should pay off all your bills and create passive income sufficient for paying your month expenses. On the other hand, I am not against loans that are used for business or studying and you have take it on favorable terms.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LaunchPads following a crash in the crypto market. on: November 16, 2021, 03:55:02 AM
I know that many big projects are waiting for "crypto winter" to launch, so I think that there will be some good projects on presale during crypto market crash. Early investors, who haven't escaped from this market, would definitely benefit a lot then. Nevertheless, there will not be such a big number of scams and new iDOs in general as there will not be so many people who are ready to invest.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do with 20,000 Dogecoins? on: November 16, 2021, 03:48:58 AM
I would recommend you to invest in Polkadot. First of all I need no notice its innovative technologies. It uses several payment channels instead of one. It provides this chain with an ability to run several transactions at the same time. Polkadot is a blockchain that gives place to other Blockchains to launch on it, while usually blockchains support only Defi-projects. There will be a lot of hype around it in the nearest future because of parachains' auctions what also must increase its price.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: What do people think about CBDC? on: November 15, 2021, 03:29:21 AM
I am against of all digital state currencies. They will still be under control of the government. The main idea of cryptocurrencies is decentralisation and uncontrollability from authorities, but digital euros, rubles, yuan will be under control, so what will be the difference between CBDC and just non-cash money?Only the platform of usage. CBDC will be on blockchain instead of bank account.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Religion and Finance [Bitcoin] Overlap and Clash on: November 15, 2021, 03:22:59 AM
I was brought up in a very religious family. I was always taught that money is an evil so we mustn't try to earn more. Personally I don't support this point of view as money is a tool to get something that you need and want. As I live in this world, I have a choice either to be poor and unhappy, or to be rich and be more happy. I choose financial freedom as it opens me and my family a lot of opportunities.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to take back unreasoonable Transaction Fee? on: November 15, 2021, 03:16:54 AM
Such high gas fees are certainly unreasonable. That's why I have switched to cheaper chains such as tron, BSC and Polygon. They have developed ecosystems like ethereum, but at the same time fees are less than 1-2$ for a transaction.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to have your money back when the transaction have already been confirmed. So it is very important to check all data (receiving address, gas) before signing.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy tokens for young projects? on: November 15, 2021, 03:13:14 AM
I think this is a difficult question, isn't it too big a risk to invest in projects that are just being developed? On the other hand, if the project has a good roadmap and a promising team, then you can invest and get good profit in the future. By the way, it seems to me that the CheckDot project, which is associated with the verification of other crypto projects, may be quite promising in terms of investments.

What do you think about this issue? Do you invest in young and just starting projects?

In terms of CheckDot, I think that this project is worth investing. It has a big marketing campaign as almost in all threads here, this project is being discussed. It will give real utility to the crypto market and crypto community as it will pick up information about different projects. This way it will be easier for us to find information and maybe there will be less people who lose money on scams or just bad projects.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter CFO - Twitter to allow tips in crypto on: November 14, 2021, 05:34:09 AM
I see that twitter is interested a lot in crypto. Twitter has already introduced a bitcoin tip service that allows users to send other users tips on their content using BTC. In addition to that, Twitter is creating its own cryptocurrency team, aiming to become part of a decentralized Internet. In the short term, the company is actively exploring ways to create content for cryptocurrencies and "decentralize social networks". The company is making quick and confident steps in the direction of blockchain, apparently they want to be in the top before it becomes mainstream among social networks.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 14, 2021, 05:30:10 AM
It seems to me that it would be safer (and more convenient) to keep your crypto on an exchange (coinbase, blockfi etc) than cold wallet. Wouldn't the odds be greater that you mess up your cold storage than a large exchange being hacked or whatever (even if they are hacked, that wouldn't necessarily mean you would lose any coins, whereas if you are hacked that's a different story). I ordered a ledger nano X but it seems that the exchanges are still the way to go based on probabilities. What are your thoughts?
You make a terrible mistake. If you lose your cold wallet, you will not lose your assets because as long as you remember your seed phrase, you can recover your coins in a new cold-wallet. In terms of exchange wallets, it is too dangerous.  Even reliable exchanges can have some vulnerabilities and problems. For example, Binance has blocked the accounts of some users after a technical error caused by the Dogecoin update.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Checking the amount of liquidity in a pool? on: November 14, 2021, 05:24:35 AM
Hey guys!

there are alot of shitcoins which trade on uniswap. (ETH)
Someone needs to provide the liquidity for the pool, how can I check the liquidity of the pool? So the amount of other tokens there.
And if the pool is locked or not?

Thank you in advance!
Uniswap is working in the following way. A liquidity provider choose the pair and lock coins in different proportions and in the price range that he considers to be more reasonable. So as to check how much is liquidity, you are to find the pool where the coins you need is traded. Maybe you want to swap ETH to this coin, but there is no pool ETH/this coin, so there is a chain of transactions such as ETC-USDT-this coin.

Thank you! And is there some type of chain analysis tools which exactly can give the insight into ETH-...-This coin? So somehow to analyze the pools indepth?

When you are going to swap and choose coins that you need. If you scroll the page you will see all details of this swap. There is a row "route" where this chain is shown. For example, you want to exchange NU to DAI. There will be a chain of NU>ETH>DAI. To get the most advantageous price for swapping you can use DEX aggregators (1inch), that will show you how to swap for the best price.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Meme Coin Will Survive Long on: November 14, 2021, 05:16:18 AM
If we are talking about long-term prospects, I think that we consider only two options: Dogecoin and shiba inu. The rest of meme coins are either scams or are unlikely to get the same popularity. Personally I think that dogecoin has more chances as it is being promoted by Elom Musk. Dogecoin developers have released the update recently that will improve security and reduce commission. Dodge's main fan, Elon Musk, noted on Twitter the importance of this update.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we avoid scams in blockchain? on: November 12, 2021, 03:34:48 AM
Everything is gained with experience. When you have seen a lot of projects you will feel if this project is fair and have good prospects or it is a scam. The most reliable thing is certainly a smart contract as developers can say what they want on their web-site. Nevertheless, if you open a smart-contract, you will find out everything so the best way to avoid scams it is to learn how to read smart-contracts.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sent BNB/BEP2 token by mistake to BSC/BEP20 on: November 12, 2021, 03:29:57 AM
BEP2/BNB token sent by mistake to BSC/BEP20

Hello friends,
I made a stupid speed mistake as I wanted to send some BNB from BSC wallet to Gat.io but unfortunately I chose BEP2 deposit instead of BSC/BEP20, I didn't realize my mistake until it was too late and my money was lost.
Usually I pay close attention to these things and double check the address before sending, but this time I did it quickly and didn't pay attention.
Is there a way to get it back or should I forget it?
I am so sorry about this. I think you know that if you send tokens to platforms or blockchains that are not supported them or confuse standard, your tokens will be lost on the address where you send them. Actually, Gat.io is a centralised exchange, so you can try to connect with support, but I am afraid that you have to forget about them.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin investment on: November 12, 2021, 03:25:04 AM
I have some capital and I will like to know the right token to investment in. Am new to NFTs and will love to get your opinion on which NFT to buy for a short term base.
To build your capital, you have to spend time first. So you should investigate projects and participate in pre-sales, bounties, airdrops, because when we talk about investment, it is better to invest a big capital if you want to have tangible profit. The best token now is certainly Polkadot as because of start of Parachains it will be a trend until February 2022.
95  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitage trading on: November 11, 2021, 03:13:11 AM
Arbitrage trading is a good strategy as it is a common situation that prices differ in different exchanges. Nevertheless, there are market-makers and different robots who exercise this and I don't think that you can overtake them and  make deals faster. What is more, one transaction can take a lot of time and money so you had better consider all risks and try to do it several times and then you will see.
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take stock or hodl ? on: November 11, 2021, 03:09:06 AM
So with the current peak on Bitcon, Ethereum (and nearly all of my alt coins) is it wise to:

1) Take out the profit to either bank or reinvest when there is another dip
2) HODL in the hope that it keeps rising and rising
If your capital allows you, it is a good strategy to divide it into parts and sell some Bitcoin. This way you will lock-in some profit especially if you have 2x and more. But you shouldn't sell off all Bitcoin. Then, when there is a bear market you can buy some bitcoin again and continue holding. But on the other hand, if you haven't got a big profit yet, you had better wait more as in the long term Bitcoin will be much more expensive.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a token on Bsc that isn' t a scam? on: November 11, 2021, 03:04:21 AM
I see your point of view, there are so many scams on binance smart chain that you lost any hope to find something worthy. Actually, it is probably true that it is difficult to find something good on this chain. It is cheap so developers can easily launch their tokens there, what is more, it is popular and there are many users. I used to see many projects-clones of Puncakeswap that appeared every day and then they closed in one week.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more long term bear market on: November 11, 2021, 02:58:49 AM
This market lives cycle by cycle. After bull run there is must be a bear market. Taking into consideration an upcoming crises in the world and default  of Evergrande, I think that there will be also big drawdowns on the crypto market. What is more, there is the term "crypto winter" when everything calm down and volumes are very low so the whole crypto market is in hibernation.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one can continue ignoring Bitcoin on: November 10, 2021, 04:17:42 AM
I see that there are more and more people and companies that see obvious advantages of Bitcoin and crypto in general and start adopting it. It is a way to save and multiply your money. It is a way to establish business processes in companies. Those who ignore crypto and consider it to be a scam lag behind the time. Embarrassed
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: November 10, 2021, 04:13:17 AM
It is better not to trust the keys to someone. The best thing is if you know your keys by heart, but actually, it is not very secure as you might forget and if you are the only person who knows the keys and something happens to you, all your coins will be lost. Personally I put down all my keys just on paper. I don't store the full seed phrase, there are some mistakes, so it is really difficult to hack my wallet even if you get this sheet of paper.
