81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 02, 2024, 11:45:35 PM
If the gambler is currently at the stages of those situations mentioned by OP, they are now at a critical level.

At this stage, a gambler can't think of a good thing anymore as their mind is now corrupted.

They need immediate help as they can't help themselves anymore. If found a person like that in your community, don't hesitate to give their family advice to now seek help from any gambling-related rehabilitation centers. It's ASAP before anything much worse happens.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 02, 2024, 11:35:46 PM
I thought what I would read here was a real health benefit of online gambling but it's not.

OP what you shared should be called PROS of online gambling. It's not a health benefit.

Staying away from crowded places is the recommendation and advise given by the Doctor. There's no connection to that in gambling in terms of giving benefits. I understand that the person is a gambler but it doesn't mean that since there's an online gambling, it's already a health benefit.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: February 01, 2024, 02:02:51 PM
That's why I shared it here; I feel that some of you may experience the same challenges, and I'd love to hear your ideas or experiences on how to win this battle so we can enjoy gambling.

Overriding with emotion is hard and too tough while gambling.

In any kind of situation, we will always follow what our emotions are telling us to do even if it's not the advisable or recommended thing to do. When we are winning, we always follow what our emotions are telling us to do which is to just continue and increase our bet. The result ended up bad after a long time of playing. There's no other way to get out of it but to force ourselves to do what should be right.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: February 01, 2024, 01:49:03 PM
Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?

You should already know the answer just by analyzing the situation you have shared. Let's think about this, a gambler is truly addicted to gambling but in real life, still a person on their self and responsible. We can say that the gambling addiction of that person is not that bad but there's always a possibility that it might turn into bad if unable to keep it that way for long.

But looking at the real situation in gambling, those who are addicted are mostly ended up as irresponsible people.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigging in sports:My Personal Perspective and discussion finding sus. sports on: February 01, 2024, 01:31:13 PM
I created the thread to raise awareness that match fixing in almost every sport does exist and everyone should be careful while betting on games. It is never a good idea to go all in on a specific game, expecting the team to win by looking at the statistics and past results. You just never know what exactly is going on behind the scenes.

I think this is too much overreacting. Yes, I don't rule out the idea that even in big leagues, game fixing does happen but do you think big leagues will ruin their reputation over game fixing? It can't just be done by a few guys. Besides, their careers are at stake if those players and officials participate in match-fixing. Not worth trying the risks.

The best advice would be, don't patronize betting on small leagues where game fixing mostly happens.

Going all in is not a good idea, not because of game fixing but rather because it will kill your bankroll instantly. \Cheesy
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe visiting a seer or spiritual house could make you win a game? on: February 01, 2024, 01:18:33 PM
So I was wondering if there is any connectivity here, or do you believe such could happen in your own situation?

Even a person who is not a gambler will surely know and it should be obvious that any kind of lucky paraphernalia doesn't have any connection to attract luck. That kind of activity in some way is traditional and has been a practice that was passed through the next generations. I don't believe in such lucky stuff but I don't see it as a wrong practice.

Maybe just depends on our own beliefs and we should respect each other regarding that matter.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 01, 2024, 01:02:18 PM
What other proverbs or sayings could potentially act as triggers, enticing individuals to initiate or perpetuate their gambling activities?

It's the first time I heard that there's a gambling proverb that acts as a trigger stuff to gamble. Am I understanding it right?

Anyway, I don't think that any of these gambling proverbs are a big deal to most gamblers.

Or might be at some regions where gambling is seen as traditional, these proverbs might playing a big role in terms of influence.
88  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 31, 2024, 11:48:22 PM
Having a steady and regular income is very important as a gambler because it would enable you to scrap out money you should use for gambling, feeding, taking care of yourself and family and other miscellaneous.

To cover our spending on gambling, it's very important obviously to have a source of income. Not just a simple source of income, but a stable income-generating way. Gambling can change anyone's emotions during the process and the person involved has a great chance to spend more money.

The important thing there however is, that even with a stable source of income, if the person reaches the level of addiction where they won't able to control their temptation of gambling anymore, they will end up the same as those without a stable source of income.

I just wondered, some gamblers gambled a lot but had no source of income.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: January 31, 2024, 11:30:25 PM
The valuable message that can be taken from my friend above is never take risks to gamble to pay off your debts, the pressure is very big, the chance is very small that you can pay off your debts, often you end up losing even more and losing your money. look for loans, sell your valuables or look for part-time work to pay off your debts, is a good way rather than playing the small money you have in gambling

That's where some people end up if they have no other choice. What are their other options if they have already done everything they can? The sad reality in life where it's hard to look for someone or some institution that will give a loan even if there's collateral.

Some people got lucky from gambling with their last money. That's a big luck! But unfortunately, there are far more people who end up losing it all. I hope those people who experienced the latter will about to get back on track and survive the problem they are currently dealing with.

92  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaMask Crypto Casinos on: January 26, 2024, 06:07:02 PM
Users should also take into consideration, that it might happen that with connected wallet, user could be asked to confirm every bet (transaction) he makes, and that is extra money expenses.

As far as I know, in most cases, it only needs 1 confirmation to access and connect to the site and every action from there like placing a bet doesn't require any further or new confirmations. If let's say that is not the case, we all know already that Metamask supports several token networks based on ETH and it should be obvious that we won't use a coin that has insane fees that are not worth gambling with.

Not a technical person here but someone can correct me if my statement is wrong. \Cheesy
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 26, 2024, 05:45:42 PM
You don't need to provide exact figures; an estimate would suffice. Through this discussion, we can assess whether we are being too aggressive in our gambling habits or if we are playing it safe with our bets.

Can we determine the aggressiveness in gambling just by knowing how much average amount we use in gambling? What if $300, $500, and so on?

If we can state an average amount therefore we are not aggressive already since we were able to keep up with that "average". Regardless of the monthly income, if a gambler just plays around the average amount, then they are not aggressive much. But to keep up with the topic, I'm just a minimum wager in our country. There's no average amount I can tell that I used in gambling since it depends on how much left to my salary that I can use for not priority things.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 26, 2024, 05:25:59 PM
Don't put "vs" in the subject as we should not compare the purpose of the gamblers to why they gamble.

I have noticed that those who are saying that they gamble for fun are not regular gamblers. I have never seen a regular gambler saying they are gambling just for fun. These regular gamblers are risking money on gambling in an attempt to reach their target satisfying win. That's more way fun.

Those who consider gambling to end the financial struggle depend on the financial situation of a person. If the said person is currently on the verge of losing hope, they will put their trust in gambling to save them from the problem. On the other hand, if not, I don't think most gamblers will consider gambling to serve that purpose.

Regardless of the reason why we gamble, keep responsible all the time.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 25, 2024, 11:31:56 PM
As a gambler what do you think that should be the right time we suppose to leave gambling weather we are making profits or we are not making profits with gambling, because I know quite well that gambling whenever you are making profits you will wish to continue gambling unless that you run out of cash.

I was curious with the reason why you end up asking that question. Gambling has no boundaries. As long as the gambler is capable of doing gambling, they can do whatever they want in their life regardless of their age. There's no big deal if we see a 70 or 80-year-old person still gambling as long as they know what they're doing and use their own money. What are we supposed to expect from a 70-year-old? Just lying in their bed the whole day? If they can still do those activities they already used to do for a long, then just let them be like that.

You won't understand it from the gambler's perspective, especially for a person who hugs gambling as one of their usual activity regularly.
96  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaMask Crypto Casinos on: January 25, 2024, 11:07:43 PM
I've created a section listing crypto casinos that offer this feature, but it hasn't attracted much interest, so I'm curious to know what you think about this feature.
You can find the list here -> MetaMask Casinos

The one in my signature is a decentralized casino where betting can also be done directly through connecting various crypto wallets (e.g. Metamask).

Website: https://just.bet
ANN Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5453737.msg62287190

As for my view regarding gambling sites with a wallet connect feature, it's not something a big deal to me. What is more important to me is trustworthiness, good customer service, better overall service, no scam-related issues, and anything positive things that most gambler wants.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: January 25, 2024, 10:52:24 PM
So what do you think about this? Does gambling with crypto mean that laws about gambling being Haram don't apply all the time?
I was thinking that of crypto is earned outside of one's regular job, for example as a reward for activities such as bounties or sweepstakes, then maybe gambling with these earnings insta Haram?

There will be no proper argument about that. Aside from that topic being unethical to talk about or discuss, especially between gambling and religion, the cycle of repeated arguments will never end since the source of all responses will based on people's respective religions.

To make it short, just follow our religion's view towards gambling be it as an official law or a traditional approach. If planning to do something that is against the religion's book, then just make sure to be ready for consequences. In today's generation of gambling, we will notice gamblers from different religions regardless if gambling is prohibited or not based on their respective religions.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: January 25, 2024, 10:36:40 PM
Question: would she be so disheartened and mad as this if the son had won the bet on a multi million price?
Dear fellows, let's assume you are the mom, what would be your state of mind on this context?

Using money that is not ours is considered the worst attitude. In a state like that where our kid uses our money secretly for the sake of gambling, is the scenario if the kid won instead of big money a proper argument? If that's the case then we should just tolerate everything since after all, there's a chance of winning big even. Sounds stupid right?

Regardless of the reason, stealing is stealing. The kid in that story highly needs proper and serious guidance.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 24, 2024, 11:30:08 PM
It's generally a rule of thumb in gambling that always be patient.

There are lots of situations in gambling where our patience will be tested. If we allow ourselves to fall on a quick decision, it will cost us a huge loss. On the other hand, if slowly but surely, it will be a smooth way and we can manage it.

But don't blame yourself for that mistake. It's a test. It's part of the experience.

At least next time, we should know what to do.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 24, 2024, 11:18:07 PM
Besides that, I just feel that if he deposited $10 = IDR 150,000 into a gambling site just to play slots, he would probably suffer a complete loss. But if he can place bets on sports betting, there is a possibility of him winning some money on small bets. Wouldn't that be an advantage for him?

What if he's currently on a winning streak? You can't convince that guy to switch on sports betting if he's currently on the winning side.

Just let him have his fun and don't interfere even in the long run we all know he will lose. What if he able to cashout all his winnings from before?

If you were in this situation, what would you do? Introduce him to sports betting or let him stick to playing slots. Yesterday, I just let it go but we still often meet at other activities.

Introduce might not be a good term for it but rather just tell him in a simple way that, you found him a fan of football, why not try sports betting?

If you introduce him to sports betting, it's like pushing him to do it. Let him decide based on his interests.

Not all sports fans are fans of sports betting anyway.
