81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rising, Scams Rising on: May 11, 2019, 02:08:52 PM
money always attracts all kinds of people and bitcoin ( the new money) is growing and that growth is not just among regular users, it also grows everywhere else and attracts a lot of scammers. and when these scumbags enter the market and see how easily they can make money by scamming a bunch of newbies, their numbers grow more and more every day. so in a way we are responsible because we allowed many of these scam methods to thrive, like ICOs for example. if we (as a decentralized community) banned ICOs from day one we would have never seen so much scams.
it will be repeated too, unless the community matures enough to be able to recognize these scammers right away.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: Time For A New Market Leader ? on: May 11, 2019, 01:51:32 PM
lets not forget that Binance (like its predecessors) has gained its popularity and high volume the same exact way that OP is asking. there were other exchanges before Binacne which were at rank one and had the highest volume. then they started having problems and Binance swooped in and replaced them. in fact every couple of years we see a replacement like this. if i recall correctly this is the list of exchanges that replaced each other as number one in the past 5 years:
Cryptsy ---replacedby--> Poloniex ---replacedby--> Bittrex ---replacedby--> Binance ---replacedby--> Huh
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, Token, D-App and legality on: May 11, 2019, 01:27:22 PM
legality is not a global thing. it is instead local and depends on your local government. so some of them may outright ban anything related to ICOs involving the companies, the participants and the platforms and even imprison you if you get involved with them (there are countries that do that in real life!) and some other countries may let them grow but so far most countries have either banned ICOs or have no laws YET against them but nobody is looking at them favorably because of all the scams that keep happening using ICO model. not to mention that legit businesses never raise money like this.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB time to buy ? on: May 11, 2019, 01:10:21 PM
let me translate the situation to a real life (stock market) example so that maybe you can get how naive your question is.

imagine you are a stock trader and decide to buy stocks of a computer hardware company, like a company that makes graphic cards. you see their returns are good and they are expanding. but then you hear in the news that their factory was burnt to the ground and the company is in a huge loss because of it. do you still buy their stocks or would you sell it?

that is what happened to BNB. the company that owns BNB (and is selling you the "shares") got hacked and lost $40 million which is a huge amount in the altcoin market. there is no logical reason for you to buy this "stock" right now!
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange and Hacks on: May 11, 2019, 12:50:46 PM
almighty binance with all their claims of having the best cybersecurity measures,

wait a minute do you want to tell us that you believed their claims?!!
this is not the first time a big centralized service exaggerates their "security" when they are trying to attract more customers in a competitive market. and each time they end up being hacked and we realize that their security was not only not-strong but also it was among one of the most primitive and weakest setups.
everyone who has been around for a while knows that you should never trust centralization, whether it is in the form of a centralized exchange or a centralized payment processor or even a centralized altcoin. it will always end badly.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook To Announce FB Coin In Third Quarter 2019? on: May 11, 2019, 12:33:23 PM
this is still a rumor but at least this time it makes more sense. they know that they want to release their centralized token in a time that the market is in a better shape and considering the entire year of 2018 was a drop year it is only logical to see this year bitcoin price rise consistently and that is what has been happening these days.
that bitcoin price rise means a lot of hype in the entire market. a hype that ICOs always use and now these centralized coins like FacebookCoin will also use to advertise and convince people to invest in!!!
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: share the source on: May 11, 2019, 12:20:48 PM
everyone was telling you not to waste your time "advertising" all these scam projects that called themselves ICO and you a bounty hunter but you didn't listen. i'd say 3 ETH is still a very high amount to earn you have probably wasted a huge amount of your time which means you have potentially wasted a ton of money because you could spend that time more constructively and make a lot of money then invest that money in bitcoin to increase it even more.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do ETH and LTC catch up to BTC? on: May 10, 2019, 11:37:01 AM
NEVER!

altcoins will never catch up to bitcoin, specially altcoins that already exist and have many flaws. for example ETH has unlimited supply which is slowly starting to show its face to all the investor bag holders as ETH struggles to keep its current price above $100 and not crash hard. and LTC is a copy coin which only follows bitcoin but only so much so that its pumpability allows since people don't really "invest" in any of the altcoins but rather trader them in short term during their pumps which don't exist as long as bitcoin price is rising.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I change the principle of profitability of the cryptocurrency market? on: May 10, 2019, 11:09:09 AM
you can't change the principles, the principle are decided by the majority of people who are in the market. and they don't want them changed because this current situation is more profitable for everyone and nobody wants it to change, from the smallest person in the market wasting his time on bounty hunting to bigger players who are whales pump and dumping altcoins and all the ICO scammers they all want the same thing, they want the market to remain like this, they want people to continue to only want bigger pumps and bigger dumps instead of wanting solid projects that actually grow over time not stay alive for a month and die afterwards.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to ethereum in this bullrun? on: May 10, 2019, 10:59:47 AM
like many other altcoins like it, ethereum will also get dumped as it has been over the past week and continue losing its value because every investor is currently cashing out of all the altcoins and putting their money where it truly belongs which is the bitcoin market since nobody wants to miss out on the big bitcoin price rise and also because everyone knows that during bitcoin bull runs all the altcoins get dumped hard like this.

but eventually they will end up pumping ETH because it is a centralized pump and dump coin and the owners are not yet ready to give up on it and still want to make their millions out of each pump.

additionally there is another problem with ETH and that is ICOs. they are dead now and the alternative ways like IEO is also dying since there was no difference between them and they also turned out to be shitcoins and scams. with Binance hack there is also more problems that ETH is facing since it was relying on the new IEO scheme to get them pumped a little but it failed.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the truth about hacks of Binance ? on: May 10, 2019, 10:30:38 AM
the hack doesn't mean your "account" is going to be emptied. you account is still an entry in a database with a number in front of it representing your balance nothing more. and that still is there. but the money that the number represents is gone because the hackers stole that money (or more accurately the stole bitcoin worth $40 million).
so now if everyone were to start withdrawing their bitcoins from Binance they would soon not be able to cover it because they are short 7000BTC.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy bitcoin now?? Or I'm too late?? on: May 10, 2019, 10:20:17 AM
unless you see bitcoin mass adoption finishing or price above $1 million then it means it is still not too late to start dumping your worthless fiat and get bitcoin in its place. we are just getting started, why do you think i am a BitcoinHodler? because i know the true potential of bitcoin that doesn't exist anywhere else and so far only a small portion of it is fullfilled.
93  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance losing 7000 BTC and the consequences of a ROLL Back on: May 08, 2019, 12:40:37 PM
Ethereum rolled back the transactions. The result ? Two coins, a split community and multiples of the actual loss wiped off the market cap instantly.

that is not the only result, it is not even the most important one either. losing market cap, price ,... don't matter at all.
the only important thing that happened to ethereum when they rolled back was that it lost its immutability and is no longer a trusted blockchain because the first thing about a blockchain is that it can not and should not change. if the "owners" decide they want to roll back they can do that any time they want specially when they switch to PoS and increase their power.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how hard will Binance coin (BNB) get dumped? on: May 08, 2019, 12:28:34 PM
this is another good proof of how bad centralized coins are.
you can see that the coins that are centralized create a focused singular point of failure. an attack point which can destroy the coin in matter of minutes. not that i am saying it will happen in this case but it is a strong possibility. similar to Bitfinex coin (Tether) that is centralized and has a single point of failure.
hopefully we can see the community take lessons from this huge loss and eventually move towards REAL decentralized exchanges and increase their own security and at the same time protect their identity and privacy too.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funds are no more #SAFU! Binance lied? on: May 08, 2019, 12:09:04 PM
how many is that? 50 or 60th case of exchange hack in the past years?
and people still trust centralized exchanges with their money. i wish it stopped there but they are also trusting them with their personal information which they force their users to give them in the name of KYC so basically you are not safe at all with your money or with your identity. they both are now in the possession of hackers and will soon find its way to dark market and be sold to thousands of others who will abuse it.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best algorithm, source and blockchain platform for a new cryptocurrency? on: May 08, 2019, 11:31:52 AM
that is not a question that you as a developer of a new coin should be asking. at least not this way. there are only two scenarios. you either have a good innovative idea in which case you have to do some research about each option or even come up with your own innovative algorithm and them based on that create your own coin, of course that is  assuming that your plan is NOT to create another shitcoin.

or you have done all the above but you are still not sure in which case you have to first share that "innovative idea" and what you have done already then ask for guidance. you can't just come out and ask a general and vague question as "which algorithm is best". that question is screaming a shitcoin is on the way.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 05, 2019, 01:15:49 PM
Unless some big entity again are ready to pour their money on the market to push the price further, I don't see a dramatic rise in a 4 week span.

For me it's better to see the price slowly gaining, as compare to a massive spike that we have seen before the end of 2017. For sure when the price goes to the moon again we will see another bubble, which in a sense we doesn't want to see at this point.

but the price in the past 10 years didn't rise from zero to $20000 because of some big entity pouring money in! instead it went up because of the same demand that has existed in the market and still does.
i do prefer the slow rises too because it builds up a much more solid support than a big spike does but when we are under priced we should always expect the big jumps when they let go of the pressure to keep it down.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Tip on: May 05, 2019, 12:36:17 PM
theoretically that is what you must always do in the altcoin market. and realistically that is what every altcoin trader who is successful is doing but practically it is extremely hard thing to pull off successfully because we are talking about a series of unpredictable events that are also known as manipulation.
so you have to have impeccable timing if you want to succeed. start by buying the coins right before the pump begins, if you buy too early you will lose money if you buy too late you will also lose money. then you have to time your selling even better although selling can be easier since you take the profit you like and get out without getting greedy.
99  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 05, 2019, 12:19:57 PM
it has not found any stability around $5500 market, this price is just a passing level on the way up above the $6k resistance. the "stability" was the prior 5 months when price was stuck in the $3k range and everyone has been accumulating bitcoin at a cheap price. now we are just rising...

as for the next "big jump up" like 2017 it will only happen during the end when we are already in another bubble possibly this time somewhere around $70,000 to $100,000
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would Ethereum remain the number 1 smart-contract platform in 2020 and onward? on: May 05, 2019, 12:05:02 PM
"best" is the wrong word you chose in your poll because ethereum is the worst smart contract platform for many reasons including being centralized and not being able to handle medium number of transactions per second. but it will remain the number one on coinmarketcap because it is ranking based on market cap and that only depends on supply and since ETH has a huge supply most of which premined, it will remain on top.
also with all the advertisement and the hype that scammers want they will always chose that to scam people with their smart contract ICOs. but it won't make the platform itself any better though!
