81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take profits now! on: April 22, 2017, 07:40:49 AM
For me selling is out of the question. I got a long term plan for all my crypto investments. Which involves not selling before the next halving. From there 2020 I may start selling some alt's or bitcoin or not. Bitcoin has a bright future, selling now is undercutting yourself.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: April 22, 2017, 07:32:17 AM
I stay away from gambling sites because I believe they are rigged to make you loose and take your bitcoins. But I do invest in bitcoin lending sites. Lending for interest is safer because we can take legal actions when the borrower doesn't pay out.
I agree. Gambling only makes your money disappear and the more play the more money you lose. Only experts know how to maintain their income everyday with gambling. IF you are not good in calculating and drawing strategy, you should stay away from gambling/

I think it is better to invest in a gambling house. You can make your money back easier than gambling.

The only investment I trust with my bitcoins are altcoins in the top 40 of coinmarketcap.
No cloud mining, no gambling house, no ICO. Just coin purchases et al.

83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome To The Blockchain on: April 01, 2017, 01:39:23 PM
Very nice song. It gives a brief idea of what blockchain is, and why Bitcoin is important. Indeed, it is a good idea to share this song with as many people as possible. I have done it already among all my social media contacts. I would encourage everyone who believes in this technology to do the same, so one day we will all enjoy the benefits of Bitcoin and blockchain technology as a whole.

This video is exactly how we should approach the younger generation.
Explaining them but also others what bitcoin is, and why it is so important for us. The common man will only benefit from bitcoin!
84  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can break above $1,100 again? on: April 01, 2017, 01:34:24 PM
It can at it will. Just let the BU vs Core debate settle down and some solution come. From there bitcoin will become way more interesting for investors.
And a ~1400 price is a value where bitcoin will be headed.
85  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dropping like a stone on: March 19, 2017, 07:34:39 PM
I've no fiat, else I would have bought some when the price was below 1000 dollar.
Now that the price is picking up, we may see it go up to 1200 again. Al tough that would not be very stable if there is no consensus.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: March 19, 2017, 07:00:54 PM
Bitcoin banks do exist but they are a monumentally stupid thing to put your money in.  The reason for this is that because Bitcoin is not very established nor is the price stable, there is no bank that you can genuinely trust to continue paying out forever, just like an exchange.  The chance of any given "Bitcoin bank" collapsing partway through your investment with your money still in it is dramatically higher than the interest that you will earn from it as a Bitcoin bank would act like an exchange, just giving the promise that you will get your Bitcoin back (you wouldn't own the Bitcoin anymore).

That's right. At this time it's far to risky to sent a third party your precious btc.
Be it an exchange or other service. I therefore only risk 5 btc per exchange. Because my experiences so far are not positive. The same will be with a bank, unless their are backed by a big real bank.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: March 04, 2017, 09:05:39 PM
Bitcoin: $1260/BTC
Gold: $1241/xau
Well, I can not believe that the Bitcoin prices has crossed over gold sooner than I expect. I thought the process would be finished in April. Wow, Bitcoin is truly worth and everyone who has sold their Bitcoin has made a huge mistake. Nothing can stop Bitcoin right now.

That's not wondering anymore because the volatility of bitcoin is aggressive in terms of going up. Moreover, bitcoin didn't defeat the gold, it is just bitcoin has already surpassed the price of Gold. Smiley

Yeah it is not a game between btc vs gold or btc vs fiat. Bitcoin is meant for online payments and hence bitcoin can't compete with those kind of assets.

Which is fine, because more ppl stepping in today makes it a win win for everyone.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy at $780-800 USD on: March 04, 2017, 08:59:59 PM
Well this prices now seem to be an utopia. Like many others I would love to be able to buy bitcoin at these prices again. But looking at my current portfolio I am happy that I was able to buy enough bitcoins to profit from any rise.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE DUMP on: February 22, 2017, 10:26:58 PM
Well we wait to wait till 11/3. Then we will know if the Chinese People's bank will announce more regulation to hurt the price.
I think they are out of ammo tbh. But when the ETF is done, finally some non - chinese big money can step in. I feel bad that we are so much depending on china.
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would you consider a new ATH? on: February 21, 2017, 07:27:33 AM
If the bitcoin ETH goes through really the sky is the limit. A lot of investment firms will join this revolution.

Else we may see bitcoin rise to 1500 dollars this year. But beating the last ATH will happen, i've thought about it and yes now is the time.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here has the most Bitcoin? on: February 21, 2017, 07:24:44 AM
Who here on Bitcointalk has the MOST bitcoin?
I'd like to see the top winners prove it, no fakers claiming 1,000,000 BTC please lol

It would be fun to see who the heavy hitters are and what a heavy hitter is defined as.  I want to get an idea of what is considered a lot, or a little.
I'm not sure if I have a lot or a little, so I will ask the community first.  Wink

I'm sitting on a good amount.  Wonder if I have more than anyone else, or not.   If nobody has close to my amount I might keep my mouth shut.  lol
You haven't disclosed your own and expect others to tell you how much they own.Not fair! why dont you set the ball rolling with providing your wallet address as only that way we can say it is not a fake claim.
I have added my bitcoin address in my profile and thats the only address I use to get my coins.
Anyone can check it Smiley
The real big holders of bitcoin cannot be too vocal, for the sake of safety they would just shut their mouth and continue earning bitcoins. I doubt if he is really telling the truth but 100% I would not believe without any proof. I do not know who has the most bitcoins here and I am not interested to know it, it's enough for me that I'm earning bitcoin and I will be more focus on myself than minding other people's business.

You're right. Being vocal makes them a target for hackers. Although they can protect themself against that. However something like an extra password feature would be likely to implemented some day. For the average user, hackers are just an easy target.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: February 10, 2017, 11:26:26 PM
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
The conly condition bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies may die are in my opinion.
1,If everyone of us stop using or  holding them.
2.If a far better technology emerges.
Other options like  Value decrease,Legality issues already have happened but bitcoin has survived them.

Well the problems with core and bu are making me feel bad. Wasn't there decentralization?
Then the Chinese People bank is doing their utmost best to kill bitcoin by their regulations.
Sure some of them are good and normal, however they present it in a way (delay, indirect) to harm BTC.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOVI - YobitVirtualCoin - 5% POS [ROM] on: February 10, 2017, 11:21:11 PM
if you had your yobit account while yovi deposits where enabled and you generated a new address and saved it, then it will work now as well (till they fix it)

I purchased YOVI when it first came out, always had the same account and never changed deposit address, and I'm getting the same error message on the deposit screen as others have shared on this thread.

Also, have just under 2 YOVI left, once that order sells I'll have a half order to hand off and I'll have all my YOVI sold completely. Bought 43 at 2200 for 1mBTC, after the next batch is sold I'll have .2 BTC in sales. not too shabby at all.

That's a good deal. I am halfway there Wink Now i got around 30k  yovi steadily selling. Someone with a bot could make a quick dough with it. So if you want to buy just sent me a pm Wink
94  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Restaurants accepting bitcoin! on: January 28, 2017, 01:17:38 AM
That's a specific list for America. It is hard to find such a list in other countries, because America as a grown nation people are much known to it than the other countries. These services won't be found long as only limited number of users pay with bitcoin periodically.

It's moslty on the no go list, so you have to know a restaurant who actually accept its. Else you won't find it.

Too bad though.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More than 50,000 unconfirmed transactions on: January 28, 2017, 01:16:26 AM
It's strange, i use to sent 0.0001 or 0.0002 for every BTC i send. Now blockchain.info tells me to use 0.01 BTC for a 4 BTC transaction. I put 0.001 and the transfer went fine. Can anyone explain why you should so much in fees? 3600 USD with 9 USD on fees is the same as western union.

Wasn't bitcoin supposed to be different?
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I never made any profits in dice game.. whats is your opinion on: October 19, 2016, 02:29:45 AM
I've made some profit in the past years but the fact is that I never really made a lot of profit with dices.
Its not a game for making profits too its purely for the fun if you are asking me.
97  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Best selling item online for bitcoins? on: October 19, 2016, 02:24:18 AM
I cannot agree more, the digital goods are mostly sold in the bitcoin world and its indeed pretty simple because the bitcoin is also a digital currency.
I really love playing games so I also like this fact because its cheap and awesome to pay with the bitcoin.
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull trend: better to hold or trade? on: October 19, 2016, 02:19:00 AM
to me the wise decision will be to hold bitcoin and not use it for trading any where, as holding bitcoin in present time is the best investment because the price of bitcoin is increasing continuously.

In my eyes holding is also better but of course its people their own decision and they have to do what they want with the bitcoin so its their own choice too.
I think holding is better because the bitcoin has a great future a head in the upcoming years.
Yeah holding is more good choice to do since we are heard that many people are investing in bitcoin and many adoption are releasing.. and more stores or merchant right now are accepting bitcoin as payment ..
But it takes a long time to make profit.. trading is a good thing if you have some skills of trading since many altcoin out there are good to trade..

Holding is good but I think a combination of both is even better if you are asking me.
I think that the bitcoin has a great future and that holding is still better but trading is okay to do too.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: October 19, 2016, 02:14:21 AM
Without the bitcoin price the bitcoin never would be so big because it had than not received so many publicity.
I think we need the price because everyone is looking at it 24/7
100  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: October 19, 2016, 02:09:25 AM
Customers should use the bitcoin because it has a good worth and its also that it the future of it is good too.
You can use it anywhere and holding is profitable like a bank but more profitable.
