From memory (may not be entirely correct) a fork is when bitcoin developers alter bitcoin's code for whatever reason which causes two blockchains (Before the edit and after) to be running side by side. Only one of the two forks should then be used as one will become the accepted bitcoin (by having the majority users) with the other chain becoming essentially an alt coin with the same "Bitcoin" name.

First of all apologies if I offend anyone with my views, it is not my intent.
I personally believe religion is one of the best "Arguments" (Excuses is a better word) for the universe being. Instead of using only science which currently says the big bang caused things to form without knowing what was before the big bang religion says everything is how it is because of X reason/person who operate on a higher level of being to us. That being said I believe there is definitely things that humans aren't on a level to understand, think unexplained coincidences or senses that plants have and humans don't, in saying this I don't believe in any god, just that there is 'more' to the universe.

The way I like to explain it is bitcoin only runs by connecting computers so that every person that runs bitcoin controls it and the only way to change bitcoin is to have more than 50% of users make said change.

Personally I think we might see a few countries try to ban bitcoin but I don't think there will be any real threat to bitcoin as a whole. I think any country that tries this will receive harsh opposition.

Honestly right now I'd reccomend you investing in altcoin projects that arent actually altcoins. For eample become a financial investor into new altcoin mining pools or gambling games.

I don't know of any of these kinds of sites nor if they even exist but I recommend you check out faucets as something to spend time on and to make BTC.

In my opinion the best thing you could invest in is yourself. Instead of buying a crypto-currency consider starting up a site/business. For example if you had 10 BTC to invest you could startup a small gambling site and do some advertising etc.

Would you sell the address along with the account? It would just mean sending the private key so that they can sign messages if needed in the future.

Unfortunately I had to shut of my rig a while ago (GPU) because of my high electricity costs. I still love checking in on this thread and seeing these awesome setups though.

Honestly I can't quite remember, I know it was back in 2011 and I can remember lots I liked about it but I just can't remember what got me into it, weird huh?

Ah I'd consider driving inter-state to bring you a coffee in order to pick them up if it didn't cost me 10x as much in petrol costs haha. Good luck with sales mate, good to see some Aussies around here The way this "sale" is going, they'll probably still be in my storage box next time you happen to drive through Sydney I'll make sure to keep an eye on this thread next time I am then haha. Would you send them domestically?

I've had a similar issue on a different site a few days ago and unfortunately nothing I did fixed it until I just waited a few days and all of a sudden it worked. Good luck.

If you are interested in doing loans I'd actually reccomend you that you're better off doing them on this forum than a p2p service as you will probably encounter less scammers IF you follow the standart practices here (Holding accounts, collaterall and no newbies etc.)

If you are talking about buying one now in order to try and make a profit its just to late. The difficulty will increase to a point where you arent even making money on electricity in no time if you ask me.

I don't think Paypal will add bitcoin until it really needs to (Mass adoption) for the simple reason that its bad for business, if it gets more people into Bitcoin then that means less people using Paypal.

I found a small poem online that I think really puts my opinion of this into words: Give a man a gun and he can rob a bank Give a man bank and he can rob the world
I don't think this is a good idea but it will probably happen anyway.

Are you willing to use escrow? You are an extremely new account with little trust so if you don't plan on using escrow you may find it hard to get anyone to buy off you.

To me Bitcoin is special because it has kicked off a huge movement towards decentralized currencies. I don't know weather bitcoin will be here to stick around or not but either way I see it as having an effect on the future of money.
