Guess not
82  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshi Dice -- Statistical Analysis on: October 15, 2012, 09:11:30 PM
If you think otherwise you are dull. IF those were the actual odds then youd be a millionare just by betting 91% odds.

Sorry, I missed that gem.

If you make a bet that pays out 1.071 times 91% of the time, you lose:

>>> 91.5527 * 1.071
98.0529417

For every $100 you bet, you get back around $98.05.

They also pay out when you lose, so you actually get a little more than that back, but it's still less than $100.

Just because you win 91% of the time doesn't make a bet profitable - it also depends how much you get when you win.

Ok you have a 91% chance to win the lottery. Do you think you are going to win the lottery? I sure as hell wouldnt be sleeping the night before.
83  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: satoshi dice lol on: October 15, 2012, 09:08:10 PM
You cant possibly think that its random lol

Yes I do.

Why not play the 97% chance to win constantly and become a millionaire then?

It doesn't work that way.  You have a 97% chance to win a single bet, but look at how low your percentage of payout is.  This still gives the house an edge.  You will ultimately lose doing this.

Why is noone doing extremly large bets on that odd once then? a 07% chance to win is extremely high probability in any case. The anser is because they know when they do the big bet that the number 65000 will come out. Like usual.

Some people do.  And most people win that single bet.

I guess im that unlucky guy that loses 25 times in a row on a 91% chance to win game the day after winning large sums in the same game.

If you in deed lost 25 times in a roll on the 91% chance bet, then I agree, that's pretty improbable (though still possible). Please show me proof that it happened.

How can I show the proof? IS there somewhere I can look up the records??

No i dont understand i guess. What i do understand though the odds are astronomical to lose 25 times in row betting the 91% Also when is this has created and from where is created?

The math on SatoshiDICE is absolutely fair and transparent. The whole point is that if you don't trust the site, you can check it using the hashes of the transactions (it's a bit complicated to do this but many have done it).

Not only is SatoshiDICE fair, it is -provably- fair, and is one of the first online games in the world to be able to prove its fairness (one more awesome benefit of Bitcoin).

Im not following. How can you prove that the numbers generated are actually random just from hashes?
89  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: satoshi dice lol on: October 15, 2012, 08:49:45 PM
Im not talking about 1 bet at 91% chance im talking multiple bets over the course of a day and eventually losing all your money. Thats statistically improbable yet it happens all the time. I especialy love when i do a big bet with the less than 60 000# and the I lose because the number that come out is 60 008. You cant possibly think that its random lol
90  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshi Dice -- Statistical Analysis on: October 15, 2012, 08:47:09 PM
The game is rigged. Its not random. If you think otherwise you are dull. IF those were the actual odds then youd be a millionare just by betting 91% odds. But when you do it loves to throw out numbers such as 60008 when you have less than 60000 #
91  Economy / Games and rounds / satoshi dice lol on: October 15, 2012, 08:41:32 PM
Does anyone actually believe Satoshi and their odds? I do believe the game is completely rigged. I had a great run up 70btc in 2 days. Then lost it all while betting only 91% chance to win games. Im new to this stuff but what are your thoughts?

I used the new 2.8.3 and its noticeably slower for some reason. My Mhash is the same as 2.7.5 but the the accepts shares are like significantly less. I usually do about 600 shares an hour with this im doing 120 shares
93  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overc monit fanspd RPC stratum linux/windows/osx/mip/r-pi 2.8.2 on: October 11, 2012, 09:28:27 PM
I open cgminer 2.8.2 and type in btcguild.com:8332, then my username and then I leave password blank. My gpus start working and i get 360 mhash per gpu which is normal however no shares are accepted. Any ideas? Ive never used stratum before
It appears the windows stratum support doesnt work. Try using --fix-protocol to prevent it using stratum.

Linux users are unaffected by this bug, stratum works fine there.

It works fine for me with 2.7.5. What advantages would swtiching to 2.8.2 do for me if I use normal mining method?

The only way to stop a keylogger is by using key encryption software.

Or use on screen keyboard for important passwords

On screen keyboards can still be seen by a trojan. If they are recording your screen they will see which buttons you pushed.

Stop calling people gullible than, or "on a boat". Come on, it isn't so hard to proof if this would be true. There are several ways, monitoring the network, testnet, etc.
Claims like " IT makes complete sense what I am saying and you know it" are worthless.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=115515.0

Ok ill join your party. Prove that it isnt happening? Especially when it makes 100% sense for them to do it. Would you not do it. Answer that question.
Why would you believe me when I say I wouldn't, you don't believe them when they said wouldn't. But we do have to believe you when YOU think they do. Is that because you would maybe? I showed you where you said they could gain $30,000 a week that they could make half of that or more for just selling it the day it is produced. Have you checked the link I posted regarding the testnet spike? Do you have an opinion on that data? Show me in the following graphs where the bfl equipment shows it's presence on the network? Because they are not. http://bitcoin.sipa.be/
I showed you where it is on the testnet.

what? am i seriously the only person that has received his jalapeno?
Seems so. I just had a tracking number 5 minutes back for my Single SC60 though!!!  Woot!!  Grin

Are you ever going to know that a couple Thash/s machines are being used? Do you normally jsut blinded believe anyhting you are told? Do you normally throw money at a product that they dont even have the dimensions for ? And you make no sense saying they can make more selling it. Did you not read my previous comments at all? They could mine for 1 week and make 30 000 with 1 thash machine. That machine is already sold aka preorder. The mining is jsut icing on the cake. Whether you beleive it or not doesnt matter it will and is happening.
