81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Mt Gox and Google Authenticator? on: October 15, 2012, 10:23:03 PM
I appreciate you taking the time to offer advice for sure, but I just ended up adding the code in manually. It worked, and is all setup now Smiley I would guess its something with the QR code being generated because I scanned everything else just fine. Blockchain, Google account, Dropbox, etc all had no issue at all. Heck, I barley had to even hold the view finder frame on those other qr codes for more than half a second, and it picked them right up. But who knows.. lol Smiley But yeah, I gave in and just did it manually. All set! I also made a physical copy of the manual code I entered for my records in case anything ever were to happen to this tablet. it gets stolen, breaks, whatever. Don't want be locked out of MT Gox if that were to happen Smiley

Again, I do appreciate you trying to help though! Cheesy

Also no reflection that I can tell. It just keeps searching for it even though it's in the window frame.  I notice 3 flashing yellow dots on the corners of the qr code, but it never accepts it  I'm stumped lol

It's barcode scanner. I'm pretty new to tablets in genreal. This is the first one I've ever owned . I tried  lighting the room up more but that didn't help. I'll keep trying Smiley. The main thing I wanted was just to make sure Google authentication was able to be used.. but yeah.. not sure what the deal is.

Can you pair Google Authenticator with Mt Gox's 2 form security? I tried scanning the QR code, and it never would accept it. Just kept searching for the displayed code.

I've setup Blockchain, and a few other things with Google Authenticator just last night with no issue at all, and the android tablet im using is brand new. Bought it yesterday.

Any incite would be very helpful! Thanks!

86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox or BTC-E Android Widget for Tablet PC on: October 15, 2012, 09:52:31 AM
One last question. Do any pools out there use widgets? Like someone to monitor my workers, or even just how much BTC I have mined in an up to date manner?

Thanks again!
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / MtGox or BTC-E Android Widget for Tablet PC on: October 15, 2012, 09:50:38 AM
Hello,

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, and am looking for some type of Widget to install on it to monitor up to the minute BTC prices. Could anyone direct me on where I can snag one? It would be much appreciated!!

Thanks so much!

Way cool man!

+1 for Stratum. Supportability uses less bandwidth. I would think a lot of pools might move to it over time with the increased hash rate on the horizon.
90  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Which is the best bitcoin miner available??? on: October 13, 2012, 10:48:04 AM
cgminer + custom .bat files gets my vote. Why? Complete detailed customized terminal command promptg gives you the ability to squeeze every last drop of mhash out of your card. With some trial, and error of course Smiley
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: Downward trend imminent on: October 12, 2012, 11:21:39 AM
That depends on what you see as downward trend, you mean mid term?

for 3-4 months is what I see. Might go as low as $7-8 range, then stabilize to $10 level.
Thats when I will buy Smiley

But Im not sure if will drop to that. I honestly believe when difficultly raises we will see it raise. Then people may dump to pay off their rigs, and lowering it. But who knows..

It took two weeks to get one from Gox

Awesome ty Smiley
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Yubikeys for Blockchain, and Mt Gox on: October 09, 2012, 10:12:49 AM
Mt Gox states you can only use their key for their website, but Blockchain has it listed as an option for their 2nd form factor.

If I remember correctly, the one from Mt. Gox only works with BlockChain.info for static password.  i.e., it is vulnerable to a replay attack.   The one from YubiKey is supported for true OTP against Blockchain.info's site.

Got ya. With that said, I suppose its best to get one of each then Smiley

thank you for the info!

95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Yubikeys for Blockchain, and Mt Gox on: October 09, 2012, 07:56:25 AM
Im just wondering if I ordered a Yubikey from Mt Gox how secure is it on Blockchain.info?
*side question: about how long does it take to get to you? Im in the states.

Mt Gox states you can only use their key for their website, but Blockchain has it listed as an option for their 2nd form factor.

Last but not least. Would I better off just ordering two? One from Mt Gox, and one from the main Yubikey website?

Thanks all!

98  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Poll - What kind of miner are you? on: October 07, 2012, 07:37:34 AM
Tiny miner. 2 card at around 500 mhash. Im slow, but its going Smiley. I have high hopes for the future of bitcoin. In about 2 weeks I will be ordering a 60 g/hash device. Have 1 jally on preorder. Mining its a growing process I believe. Start with a few devices, and continue to reinvest. We'll see how it goes Smiley
