81  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: August 11, 2016, 02:40:52 PM
Honestly almost all saying that bitcoin willl be dead is member of other crypto or they are holding an altcoin..
So i think they are just hijacking people to use altcoin instead of using bitcoin.. it a market strategy..
This is not a strategy, but a real deception. I understand that every customer lure in any way, but this method must be at least decent.
nope I think the main reason for someone use altcoin at this time is because they do altcoin trade. although they use altcoin. but will they
conversion is to bitcoin? so even though they hold altcoin their purpose remains one. that is bitcoin

That's true and altcoin trading allows them to make quick profits but once they are done with trading they will definitely convert it to bitcoin as bitcoin is too big in compare to other coins.
For some trading in altcoins is so profitable because of the dump and pump game, it is easy to spot which coins or token that would have a good pump and dump game and if you can already know the trend you can easily make profit from it.

After the price dump, the traders want to buy the bitcoin, they will troll bitcoin and push the price down further to buy more bitcoins.

That could be true. The big whales control some media and lots of forum accounts. So they can manipulate pubic opinion.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price? Who is making it? on: August 11, 2016, 02:38:55 PM
Whales usually... Price will stay high unless they got bored and when they do, it will be a bloodbath. They keep the price high and make us wanna buy so they can dump their coins:)
though how are they keeping the price high if it is dumped at the moment? i think the prices depend purely on people and anything might happen with it in the future

They don't wanna keep it high at the moment i thought that was obvious. lol. Of course it depends on people but depends on which kind of people? People with much money, or people with less money? That was my point.

I think the reason for the recent drop of the bitcoin price is due to the rise of the Ethreum, investors are more interested in that.

The trading volume of the combined ETH+ETC is higher than the bitcoin at the moment. Ethereum is hot now.

The combined volume has reduced recently. but that is still higher than the bitcoin volume. So the Ethereum is a good trading tool.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: August 11, 2016, 02:35:07 PM
To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

I agree with you that for the bitcoin to grow people must use bitcoin as their daily currency.  Here in my country, only few people knows the existence of the same.  People are still unaware of crytos.  It will require an understanding on how this works and using computers which older people from third world country do not know how to use.  I mean they are not into technical side like my mom Wink.  It would be wonderful if we have that bitcoin debit card.  All transactions online will be hassle free.
I don't think all bitcoin debit cards are country specific, do a google search and see if you can find one that you can use in your country.
They are a great addition to the bitcoin world in these early days.
The best use of debit card is when you are travelling most of the time because you only need to fund your debit card with your bitcoins and you will not be bringing dollars in that case, that is to give the people and convenience and of course it comes with a service fee.

That could be a good idea. So far, I have not used any debit with my bitcoin as the fee is quite high at present.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: August 11, 2016, 02:33:29 PM
Both were mutually required, because upon trading users can earn high as well end in loss depending upon price fluctuations. At the same time investing gives assured return but the time period required is very long.

Investing bitcoin is quite high risk at the moment. There are too many scam sites out there. It is better to hold.
85  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: August 10, 2016, 11:30:11 AM

That can be one reason and the other reason could merchants will not love to wait for the confirmation time as it takes long time to get confirmed and that will be headache for merchants.

There will be lighting network or other centralised service to accept the bitcoin. The trasnaction speed will be faster.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: August 10, 2016, 11:27:41 AM
Investing and trading are different thing in attempting to gain profit. The goal of investing is to gradually build wealth over an extended period of time by buying stocks and some mutual funds.  While trading, involves frequent buying and selling of stocks, and other commodities.  If you are patient enough you could do the investing thing because you will never know when will the price of bitcoin will go high.  That is my opinion.

For the time being, trading might be good if you trade between the bitcoin and the Ethereum. ETH is undervalued.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: August 10, 2016, 11:25:31 AM
All economies are based on money circulating, did you imagined one day all get paid their salarie and dont spend any single coin? No supermarket, no car no work, as no one would buy anything the world would die. With bitcoin its the same, if you saying you are holding to bitcoin get a bigger value to spend it sure, if you wanna to hold it not a problem as well, it may turn into the gold chicken eggs.

I think to take bitcoin price to next level we should keep ourselves engage in spending some coins either digitally or physically as only holding and keeping it idle will make it a weaker currency.
yeah of course spending will help the bitcoin indirectly because it will make bitcoin market or bitcoin transaction becomes active and maybe make prices of bitcoin to be high ?
Yeah thats sort of right. The more people spending bitcoins on a daily basis then the demand for coins will go up and the price will also go up with demand.

If retailers had an incentive to offer good discounts for customers paying with bitcoin then demand and price would rise sharply.
The gambling industry are the major contributor of the demand of supply because there are many gamblers that would gamble regularly, and we are still awaiting for the large merchants to adopt so we can see some great demand of bitcoins and eventually investors will earn profit.

Merchants won't adopt it as its way too volatile. They want stability.

When the merchants got their bitcoin from customers, they will sell it straight away to convert into fiat.

That is right. The trading pair ETC/BTC and ETH/BTC volume is very higher, it is actually higher than the bitcoin trading volume.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: 350 USD in August on: August 10, 2016, 11:21:34 AM
the price is definitely not going to drop that low any time soon hopefully
Well OP just got a wrong speculatio, it is  already start of mid August and the price that drops last week is now starting to climb again.  Anyway I also agree that the price of bitcoin won't drop that low instead I believe that it will climb higher than it was before.  I think close to 650 USD by the end of August.

I agree with the comment that the price could be 650 dollars by the end of August. In September, the price could be $700.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: August 09, 2016, 11:07:36 AM
Cmon guys, stop "killing" bitcoin, every month i am hear from people about new bitcoin clone that will kill his father in short term, but everything they are wrong.
i dont worry too much about it because i know that bitcoins are impossible to kill right now and i think that the price is going to grow soon

The bitcoin can only be killed from insider, for example, by its developers if the developers write bad code.
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: 350 USD in August on: August 09, 2016, 11:06:25 AM
After the bitfinex  bad news, bitcoin is returning to the new value on the 600 dollars, soo i believe it will build find again the support and slowly raise till hit the 700 dollars, the cheap bitcoin promotion has ended already.

It's not ended yet, the price is $586 right now so if anyone wants to use this unique opportunity to buy under $600, you better hurry up. I also think that Bitcoin will be around $700 soon.

Yes and I think this is the last opportunity to buy bitcoins below the price of $600 as price will keep on rising in future so its better to buy some coins at this stage with current price.
For us who trade bitcoin for some extra its a good opportunity to buy when the price is so cheap then sell again when the price increase unfortunately in this moment we will not sure if the price will still continue to rise or its over and it's time to go lower now .

I bought some bitcoin when the price dropped to $480. That could be the price will never see again in normal conditions.

When we write the history of the bitcoin, we have emphasise that in the early stage of bitcoin, gambling is very important.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: August 09, 2016, 11:00:44 AM
For me trading is the best thing as I am successfully doing it since long time and now I am also into altcoin trading which is giving me some best profits in quick time.

Yeah trading altcoin can give you btc in just an hour especially when there are lots of newbie trader that falls on lies and deceipt.  When some one gains someone must lose but it's a fair system after all.  So people must learn or reasearch first than being guided by greed.  They will find it beneficial if they do it.

Yes. But you have to trade the better altcoins such as Ethereum or Monero. These coins have some value.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: August 09, 2016, 10:59:42 AM
They wish it were dead because they didn't get in on the action when it was just starting and they missed out.
Now they just dismissing it and saying and hoping that it was dead.
Jealously is an UgLy thing.  Cheesy

Some people short the bitcoin, so they claim it is dead so that the price will drop and they can make money.

If that happens in the stock market, that is the spread of false information, that is a punishable behaviour.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: August 07, 2016, 01:18:01 PM
That's the right thing to do as everyone here is investing money in bitcoin to earn profits from it so its better to hold it at a moment and spend when price goes higher in future.

I have hold bitcoin for several years and the price of bitcoin has risen many times. I think it is very rewarding.
96  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: August 07, 2016, 01:16:49 PM
It could happen. by looking at the movement of bitcoin today we can predict that in the future bitcoin can reach high prices.
especially in 2030, maybe bitcoin could have prices many times higher than now.

I think there are more than 150 million rich people use the bitcoin on a daily basis, the price could be in million dollars.
97  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will genesis mining be profitable after halving? on: August 07, 2016, 01:15:27 PM
I just checked https://www.genesis-mining.com/pricing, one year Eth mining is 2900 dollars, there will be no ROI.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: August 07, 2016, 01:12:10 PM
It's very hard question for everyone, cause answer on this question can only a guy who already rich, other ways is just an assumptions at my opinion.

Nopes you are wrong we are here not talking about how to get rich overnight, but we are talking that how can we get rich in future and the only answer to it is by working hard and smart.

Working hard and being smart is the best way to get rich soon. Holding bitcoin could also be a good idea.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: August 07, 2016, 01:10:18 PM
invest in something that is very remunerative and has a very low risk like mining altcoin, high return low risk

if the altscene collapse you just sell your rig and recover 75% of your investement, if not, you will roi in less than 3 month, without selling anything, otherwise you would roi  in 3 weeks...

The difficulty is rising faster now even for the ETH + ETC after the chaos. I do not understand why people are so confident.
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: 350 USD in August on: August 06, 2016, 12:28:31 PM
It's coming

EDIT: This topic is my proof. Everyone thinks that it's not possible but why not?

I call it a bubble.

a few days ago when the price started to decrease then I remembered this thread, but thanks God that it did not happen and the price once again started to increase and will come to increase than $600 sooner

$350 will never happen again. If it does happen, it means the bitcoin is a dead coin, the price will be zero.
