81  Other / Meta / Re: This is not a stake your Bitcoin address here thread, but an interesting reminder on: December 28, 2019, 10:51:50 AM
I made the uber-noob mistake with my first staked address.  I used an off-line machine to generate a paper private key, but then I imported it into my (then) Blockchain.info web wallet to sign a message with it.   Roll Eyes

I've since deleted the private key from Blockchain.com's web wallet, but is it ever really deleted?
What I did was worse: I accidentally copied my private key into my Google search field, and for sure they still remember it!
That's why I "unstaked it and staked a new one.
I'm not signing a "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" though, I prefer to unlock my wallet as little as possible.
You got another reason to create a fancy custom address.

How to sign a message from the ledger without exposing any data to third party tools?

-Stuck out of the account after trying password reset though security question.  Cheesy

-Went to find more artwork for 10th anniversary, the submission wasn't good enough.
-Maybe he went on a world tour to search for real satoshi, with all fake claims coming up every day.
83  Other / Meta / Re: [Merits Giveaway]2019 in review. A big thanks to many forum users. on: December 28, 2019, 09:28:59 AM
I'll say thank you to each one of you for being here and not leaving the forum after so many ups and downs.
Bitcoin bulls are waiting for the next year when price start going up after bitcoin halving. The community will grow further and new members with the same level of commitment you have shown in the past year.

Happy new year to everyone. Hope, we all see a new era with this new year.  Cheesy
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Options Market is Losing Confidence in Bitcoin,This Could Spell Trouble for 2020 on: December 27, 2019, 05:56:09 AM
As I always said lower the price go more people will join, mass adoption must be the goal. No matter how low it goes before next halving I'll be happy with any price either 6k or 5k.
There are a few factors that caused the price to go below $9k mark and it will take time to recover. Small gains and drop from here on don't matter much until next halving.
85  Other / Meta / Re: FREE MERIT COME FAST BEFORE I RUN OUT [Happy Holidays] on: December 26, 2019, 05:13:39 AM
That was a really good gesture from you Hhampuz. Hope, other people also join you in this and spend their merit points.
Raffle part was the big surprise for everyone I guess. Only people who visit collectable regularly know these raffle.

I don't have much interest in basketball. I wasn't even aware those teams are related to basketball. Did some preliminary research and found some details about the game and the player you mentioned.

The answer is no as it is hard for anyone to score that much regularly.
87  Other / Meta / Re: Strange looking thread! on: December 25, 2019, 04:55:40 PM
If you closely look at the thread
Yeah, I haven't looked that closely.
As far as the forum is concerned, it will impact only a limited number of characters.
I did some random testing and Yes, the line was working fine after using the English character in a middle way.
Maybe, someone can explore it further and suggest a solution to prevent it.
88  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: December 25, 2019, 04:35:28 PM
I would suggest pinning this thread like some other useful posts.
It has everything that needs a discussion of has been already discussed thousand of time on the forum.

Nice work by hilariousandco
89  Other / Meta / Re: Strange looking thread!؟test lin on: December 25, 2019, 04:05:51 PM
EDIT: bob123's statement is correct but it only works with digits.

ANSI doesn't support the character while UTF-8 does.

Don't know how it will show this test statement here if I put the ؟ in the middle of this line.

And how will it show the subject if I put one into it?

How it will show the number if I put them after that ؟ mark?

؟1234567891

How it will show the numbers if I put them after that ؟ mark with space in them?

؟1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Edit: Now, we all know how it works. It only works with the numbers Cheesy
90  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Does Electrum wallet has a special advantage than other wallet? on: December 25, 2019, 08:23:30 AM
Electrum never going to steal your private key but don't deal with private keys.
You can expose the private key to some malicious program on your system. Create a new wallet and transfer BTC to a new address as it doesn't' cost much.

I have not forgot anything, I have asked about the PM space and no reply about it currently. Woke up to them agreeing to change their sig codes to promote their airdrop vs the investbox, so waiting on those codes and more answers.
Would love to hear your views on this sudden change of signature. I know you are also seeking answers from them, take your time.  Wink

As I haven't able to claim anything from your code, how can you count my words as a vouch and put them in OP? Please remove the quote from OP.

Thank you.
94  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Job offering] For hard working peoples who want a source of income! on: December 24, 2019, 07:24:09 PM
Go search the word "Ponzi scheme" on google.

"A Ponzi scheme is a form of fraud that lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors with funds from more recent investors."

Your presentation elaborates it further with some examples of how early investors get profit. You are using a pyramid structure to benefit early adopters from recent investors. Only a difference I can see, Ponzi schemes use a product to hide the source of income from investors.

It is not related to crypto but doesn't matter.

User promptly sent a code without much discussion. I reached google store with a redirection. Unfortunately, my country doesn't support the facility to claim. I have to buy it from retailers and hence, can't claim one through his code.

Hope, someone will vouch for you soon. Good luck
97  Economy / Digital goods / Re: VOUCHED ❤️ Google Home Mini 100% OFF Codes ❤️ £5 PER GOOGLE HOME ❤️ AUTOBUY on: December 23, 2019, 06:47:49 PM
A newbie vouching for you makes no difference at all. I can vouch for your codes but not sure whether I'm able to claim one.
Maybe I can do a free escrow for you as well if I found it legit without any cheat.

From the topic heading, I thought you are going OFFLINE from the forum.
I was here to check why you are going offline. You need to change the heading it's misleading.  Cheesy

This person explained a Ponzi scheme through a good presentation.
If someone ever asks me about Ponzi? I'll refer him to his presentation for a quick understanding.

Ponzi schemes will never return in the crypto. People here are done with them and lost enough money through them.
