81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Speculation on: April 27, 2017, 11:37:14 AM
I don't believe in the coin and don't see what all the hype is about.

Just stick to investments that you truly believe in and you will succeed.

In fact people investing in LTC are people believing BTC will crash

So yeah obviously it's a bad idea to invest in LTC xD
Especially when you see the amount exchanged! They're ridiculously low!!!
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to dump ETH? on: April 27, 2017, 11:35:40 AM
The ICOs push ETH up - but most of them are scams or just weak ideas, at some point we'll see them crash and burn and they'll take ETH price with them. I'll buy ETH after the scam is cleared.

It is now hard to predict how much longer the ICO hype can take, probably it will go down with the first big bankruptcy - but all the first companies seem to have crazy amounts of cash (for startups) - so it will take a while before they burn it.

Not so sure
I'd say ICO is doomed for sure and not in long
The problem is that even if they got lots of cash they have to:
-work on a global scale, you can't work on local on cryptos
-hire high technical profil very expensive
-subsidize incredibly expensive materials

I think it's going to burn so fast you won't see it ^^
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockstream/Core lost. It is only a matter of time now. on: April 27, 2017, 11:26:24 AM
Rha you're just very picky about the meaning of words xD
Don't use strong words when you don't know the meaning behind them.

I'm not saying they're some kind of God that decide how things work. I'm just saying they're in a dominant position of power: they're trusted, their development are used by nearly everyone etc...
They have deserved this. I take it that you haven't been keeping track of the development on GitHub. Whilst BU tries to fill in all of their loop holes (whilst using an outdated Bitcoin Core version), there have been some pretty nice changes proposed.

And I've never said they haven't deserved it. You're the one interpreting my words here Wink
84  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Emmanuel macron is the next President of France. on: April 27, 2017, 11:21:40 AM

I believe lot of energy in france is wasted with useless political battles and everyone digging his trench against the other .. for me it's the main problem in france, rather than anything else, and I see macron potentially as a good thing in this regard.

If everyone in france could really collaborate and trust each other on real economic objective instead of wasting all this energy with useless fear and defiance , it would solve all the pb lol soon you can call the french beavers with all those barrage they build against each others lol

I have to disagree here, for a quite simple reason: we don't have the same problems

You can't collaborate with someone if you don't have the same objective!

The people have an objective: to build a better country for the future
The politicians have another objective: to get the economy even more oppened and biased for big companies, so they can get a big cut from those groups

How do you want us to cooperate?
85  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Emmanuel macron is the next President of France. on: April 27, 2017, 10:21:30 AM
Yeah it was like 20% of people who didn't vote?
That sure makes quite lot of people.

I don't see how people could be anything but fed up. We're being enslaved every day a bit more by international companies. They got control over pretty much everything and they're just using corrupted assholes like Lepen to make us believe that the "real danger is Islam and immigration"

Sure, what's more dangerous? Free international companies or Islamic terrorism? If you answered terrorism please look at the number of deaths due to working conditions and the amount of deaths due to terrorist attacks in developped countries.
They want to make us believe the real problem are people "abusing social system". If you believe that just look at the cost of those abuses (a few dozens millions) and the cost of fiscal evasion (a few billions) and think again

Always the same shit...

The count of non voting is always obfuscated between white vote, null vote, and non voters, and it's always kept a bit obscure anyway, but they are expecting very high amount close to 40% for 2nd round Smiley

Islamic terrorist is just the ugly hidden face of capitalist economy Wink All terrorists group are created by cia and the network are actually very close to let say gw bush, or all the buisness connection with Islamic regimes either in usa or France. . And in the end terrorism is the monster they created in their cold war plot.

Macron want to rise minimum social help to 750e no ? He seem to be ok with social help and minimum, it's hard to see how he will manage to concile everything but maybe he has a plan lol

Agreed on the the first part. Capitalism alone can't do shit, you got to weaken it with something otherwise it just eats everything until it explodes.

Yeah the guys wants to rise minimum social help to 750e for EVERYONE (including very rich people xD)
He also wants to lower all taxes (companies and people), to delete taxation on high fortunes and to rise every budget (army, police, education...).
We just don't know how he lowers every taxe and rise every budget and social help xD

Maybe because what he says is bulshit and he know he won't do it.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockstream/Core lost. It is only a matter of time now. on: April 27, 2017, 10:18:07 AM
Isn't developping and working on current system the same thing as trying to keep control over its development? Oo
No. You can't force anybody to run your client, therefore you are not in a position of any control. The recent developments of Bitcoin Core do not attempt to alter consensus rules.

You say it like I think it's a bad thing... I'm not putting any judgement here. Just saying that Core is dominant and they're the ones deciding how the blockchain evolve simply because they work on it and people use it. That's all I'm saying, there is no conspiracy theory or whatever.
No. Bitcoin Core does not decide anything for the network. You apparently don't understand how Bitcoin works.

Rha you're just very picky about the meaning of words xD

I perfectly understand that what Core develops, the clients have no obligation to use.
I'm not saying they're some kind of God that decide how things work. I'm just saying they're in a dominant position of power: they're trusted, their development are used by nearly everyone etc...
And some challengers are trying to force a HF. So you got people "in control" (and by that I mean that they're the one currently in force position) and people challenging them.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockstream/Core lost. It is only a matter of time now. on: April 27, 2017, 10:02:46 AM
Pretty fair to say that both sides are trying to keep control on the blockchain...
I'm calling you out on this bullshit until you can properly elaborate how and provide sources. As I have clearly stated, most of the people contributing to Core are not doing anything in regards to this. They continue to develop, which is what they should be doing.

His wife's son is older than him. Isn't that a bit weird to you guys? Or is that a common situation in France?

I don't see any difference between Macron and Lepen anyway. Both are rightist faschists. Lepen is just a bit more hardcore. I guess you can't expect anything else from them, we are talking about France in the end.  Grin

You're goddamn right.
I can't stand our media saying that "right wing lost the election"... Right is already at power! There is nothing but liberals and rightist as candidates now, all the socialists and marxists haven't gone further than first turn Cry

But still there is a slight hope. "France Insoumise" had nearly 20% of votes this time. That's still too low but we might manage to finally make a democratic revolution next time.
Maybe
I hope ^^

There are 20% of melanchon and 20% of Lepen, and large % of non voters or people who are not convinced by macron either Wink

Not sure how this is going to end but clearly most people seem fed up with current politics lol

Yeah it was like 20% of people who didn't vote?
That sure makes quite lot of people.

89  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: April 27, 2017, 09:50:34 AM
If, for example, my child was raped and killed (hope that'll never happen), I wouldn't want to pray, I'd want justice, I'd want to be an executioner.

That's just because you confuse revenge and justice.

And so does nearly everyone in this thread as it seems...

Oh not that I have a side, I don't really understand what's at stake here anyway, it just seems that 2 teams are fighting like hell each of them trying to keep control over the blockchain xD
What you wrote is complete nonsense. Bitcoin Core is not fighting anything nor anyone. They don't even want any kind of control, i.e. they do not attempt to force any consensus change. On the other hand, BU is trying to force an unwanted HF.

Disagreed:
You got one side trying to force HF. You got one side trying to stop it.
Pretty fair to say that both sides are trying to keep control on the blockchain...

Though I do agree that "control" was maybe not the right word because it could refer to actively being able to change the blockchain at will which is not what I wanted to say.
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: April 27, 2017, 09:36:28 AM
Taxation is not theft, because citizens have agreed to pay taxes. This is part of the “social contract,” which is a kind of agreement between citizens and the government, whereby the citizens agree to pay taxes and obey the laws, in return for the government’s protection. By using government services (such as roads, schools, and police), and remaining present in the government’s territory, you indicate that you accept the social contract

No one has "agreed" to pay the taxes. On the other hand, they are being forced to do so. If you are living in Western nations such as the US and UK, it is still OK. The government is at least using your tax money in a meaningful way. But the same can't be said about third world nations such as India and Nigeria.

Well the thing is that no one agreed to be part of their society...
Your parents did it for you.
If thay accepted to have a child in a society then you have to follow the rules already in place in that society...
Not so fair but what can you do? :/
93  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The United States conducted tests of Intercontinental ballistic missiles on: April 27, 2017, 09:12:13 AM
China would then bomb usa, then israel would bomb china(from usa funded warheads). That will be the beginning of ww 3 and end of humanity.

lol at least that would be the most freaking short ww ever man xD
94  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do conservative worldwide oppose "drugs" legalization? on: April 27, 2017, 09:09:42 AM
Drug legalization would be good thing on developed countries. Lets say you have a chance on Asian countries to legaliza drugs, can you imagine the whole process?

Many of the developed nations have already legalized soft drugs. It has been hugely beneficial, by cutting down the drug-related crime, increasing the tax revenue, and creating more jobs. The developing countries (especially those in Asia) can also try the same. Not just drugs, but prostitution also must be legalized.

Euh... No?
I mean maybe we don't have the same definition of "many" but what countries did that?
There is... Netherlands ok, few states in USA... Spain maybe?
And that's all folks, whole Europe is more or less opposed to legalization anyway...

FUD?

Dude
At this point it's not even FUD anymore it's...
I don't know, some kind of sarcastic humour I guess?
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockstream/Core lost. It is only a matter of time now. on: April 27, 2017, 08:59:06 AM
I haven't followed anything in the last months...

When did Core lost? I mean last time I checked they were still pretty dominant here.
Oh not that I have a side, I don't really understand what's at stake here anyway, it just seems that 2 teams are fighting like hell each of them trying to keep control over the blockchain xD
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: April 27, 2017, 08:50:26 AM
I think at 2017 end btc price will reach around 2k$+ and more at 2018

Yes that's what we all are expecting to happen in this year and bitcoin is moving in a positive direction at a moment so that price is likely to achieve by the end of the year and if you manage to hold it longer then you will be making some higher profits in future.

Bitcoin is full of surprises and anything is possible in coming months so we cannot afford to trust bitcoin blindly that it will only give us positive results and if price falls down then all your holdings will go in vain so be smart and take your decisions accordingly.
Because of the price of bitcoin is unpredictable and volatile, it is best to buy bitcoin regularly like every month because in that strategy you will buy the average per month price of bitcoin and you can avoid getting too much loss from buying bitcoin rather than buying bitcoin from all of your money in one shot.

Hmm... Not if you consider long term

I mean long term the price of btc is going to go up (at least IMO)
So if you buy everymonth the average price of buying will always increase
So no matter how expensive they were at a moment, if you buy everything at month X price X there will be a moment X2 where if you bought everymonth your average price will be bigger ^^
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Reasons Why Many Families Are Feeling Extreme Financial Stress on: April 26, 2017, 02:52:18 PM
it's strange that they have so high inflation when the inflation reported is not increasing in comparison with the previous years

inflation currently it's at its lowest level for now in 2017, this is not true for all country, turkey have the highest it seems

it must be said if that price increase is due to the USD losing its purchase power, or those are really price that were incresed by vendors of those products

No no, the price really increase.
Problem is that average inflation will take everything into account...
Who cares about the inflation of luxury bags for example? Well if average price of luxiry bag went a bit down then average inflation will also take that into account...
99  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why not government create new law for dead people with crimes to serve ??? on: April 26, 2017, 02:49:12 PM
What do you want to do with lifeless body? Just burn it like on easter countries or you kniw Wink
What do you want to do?
You can do many things with a body!!!
-You can use the organs
-You can test multiple invention on them (car crash for example)
-You can use them for medical training
-You can make excellent fertilizer from it

That's already rather good for a lifeless body ^^
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen to your BTC and alts if you died ? on: April 26, 2017, 02:47:27 PM
My spouse doesn't understand anything to the technical aspect of btc.
But she know it exists.
And she has access to my electrum wallet.

So if I was to die the coins wouldn't be lost even if I bet she would have to ask around to know how to use them ^^
