81  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best advice you ever heard in case of investments and all on: August 02, 2019, 02:08:59 PM
Hey
Well let's start , everyone please feel free to share the best advice they think is what made them what they are today in terms of investments .
I think learning about managing your money can never be easy , but maybe we can make this a thread worth reading by the new investors and even the old ones ..never hurts to redefine your strategy.

As for me it was
*You never loose until you cash out*
Taught me patience.

the best advice that i can give is to never try to borrow money for your investment specially borrowed money with interest ,
it may look that it will give you a fresh start and being positive that you will be able to cope with it
but sometimes we rush our decisions because we have deadlines to pay. Its better to sell some valuable stuffs to avoid that kind of scene.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is bounty campaign profitable in 2019 or no? on: August 01, 2019, 01:45:18 PM

83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you could rename Bitcoin what name would you give it? on: August 01, 2019, 01:19:40 PM
Bitcoin is a pretty good name, but let us say the entire network got fucked up somehow, and satoshi ask you, what do we call the new bitcoin that can`t get fucked up (which is still just bitcoin).

What would you call it?

I would call it Ecfasnpuaoiltfs

Electronic Cash Fast And Secure No Printing Unlimited Amounts Of It Like The Fiat Scam

or FTF

Fuck the Fed

hahahha Ecfasnpuaoiltfs thats EPIC how do you even pronounce it, well i already love the name Bitcoin
but its just a what if so i will give it a try maybe i will name it ASTROBIT i just like the futuristic sound of it anyways Bitcoin is the future right Cheesy

85  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Guide] Stop-Limit Function on: July 31, 2019, 01:17:17 PM
napaka importante na matutong gumamit nitong stop loss wag natin mahalin masyado ang mga altcoins natin
always set SL to prevent a severe lost at magagamit din naman to kahit gain kana para wag mawala yung gain mo sa trade
they call it trail stop.
86  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i continue trading ? on: July 29, 2019, 07:03:43 AM
hi i am day trading from 2years but not profitable at all ( i dont know what should i learn more so that i will be profitable )

some times i think to quit trading and go search some job, another way i think that after coming so far i should try for some more time

i know many traders in same situation are you thinking same as above . are you in this situation what have you decided to do ?

i want answers only from traders in this situation and experienced traders

i dont know if sentence formation is correct or not i think many of you can understand the situation

The decision is really depends on you buddy, i believe that each in everyone is destined into something ,if you think you dont have what it takes to be a trader then search for a new path which you think you will be capable of having success.
87  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don;t be tempted to Sell OUT; HODL on: July 28, 2019, 01:58:14 PM
Many people have said that the price of BTC will increase sharply in the end of this year and the price reduction is only a small impact of traders.
I believe that with the appearance of libra, everything will change, the market will be green for several weeks. Please hold the alts top and BTC now.

Every year we have predictions that Bitcoin price will have big growth at the end of the year but it's not always so. Remember the last year. And corrections are possible all the time so sometimes users get tempted to sell but thus they usualy only loose more. So it's very important to have your own strategy and agenda.
Anyway, I don't think that Libra will make such major changes as many think or influence the Bitcoin in significant way. But the time will tell, so we will know soon.

For me Libra would make a significant effect in crypto because of the billion users of facebook
In the sense of adaptation and spreading the idea of internet money will definitely lead a huge population to knowing cryptocurrency.

88  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What websites on crypto do you visit everyday? on: July 28, 2019, 01:35:08 PM
Share your favorite news outlets, channels, boards and subreddits
Thank you in advance!

i like to read articles and facts regularly in this facebook page named CryptoManiaks
The creator presents facts about crypto in a very simple way but very informative.
I can suggest this as a good guide for beginners to learn the basics and general informations about crypto.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is future really bitcoin?> on: July 28, 2019, 01:08:27 PM
Even though bitcoin is decentralized, are people still able to develop it and evolve it to compete with other crypto as time goes by?

One of the reasons that Bitcoin as a the first cryptocurrency becomes number one is its huge community. Because of this, i think, on the contrary, the other cryptocurrencies should compete the existence of bitcoin.

100% right Bitcoin has nothing to prove to any rising altcoins, btc has already proven its value and has established a huge community that supports it. Bitcoin has set the standard that altcoins should follow.
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I lost my confidence... And fought to get it back. on: July 27, 2019, 02:02:18 PM
I once lost 26% of my portfolio in three short trades, in less than an hour and a half.

It was brutally crushing.
Weeks of hard work gone in the blink of an eye.

But I thought back to when I was just a little kid, learning how to ride a horse at summer camp.

More accurately I remember falling off said horse while trying to learn how to ride it.
And the camp counselor wiping the dirt (and maybe a tear, though I'd never admit it) off my face.

"If you don't get right back on that horse, you never will again." he told me.

And so I did.

But when I got back on the trading horse the next day, something was different. It didn't feel right.
It felt like the charts I was so used to watching, were in a foreign language.

The letters were still the same, but I couldn't read them anymore. Whatever I used to see, whatever strategy I had been using before, it didn't fit.

Something was missing.

I floundered, and I panicked.

Luckily, a good friend and mentor was there to catch me.
Thanks to their wisdom, it became clear to me - there was indeed something missing.

My confidence.

Confidence in my skill, confidence in my ability to control my emotions, confidence in my analysis.
Without that, there was no way that crypto could the salvation I so desperately longed for.

And so I set out to rebuild that confidence, brick by brick.
For the next 30 days, I traded only a completely insignificant amount of money and I documented every last detail.

That helped me control my despair while validating the effectiveness of my strategy.

After rediscovering my groove in those 30 days, I slowly ramped back up to trading real money.

In the end, learning from that experience proved far more valuable than the short term damage to my portfolio.

Have you ever had to experience something extreme to overcome a mental weakness?

i also have experienced frustration and felt very down because of the price crashed of crypto last 2018
i dont know why i didnt sell, i just watched my folio turn negative ,i was too naive with my hopes because of that i have lost $12,000.
For a single mother like me it is a very significant amount of money i was really devastated ,
i literally stop doing anything concerning crypto because i have nothing and was disoriented. But soon i came back doing bounties
, i just realized that good campaigns here in bitcointalk can give me a new start and i was not wrong. Now i am back on track
i am starting to trade again and much more eager to learn.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The End of Bear Market, Confirmed!! on: July 26, 2019, 07:57:03 AM
no i dont think so , there is still a bear and bull war. i heard so many speculations saying it will go down to $8k then $6k
and altcoins would perform even worser . Its a bullshit not a bullrun  Grin, yet im here just continue to go with flow
anyways what goes down must come up.
93  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for the Inexperienced Traders on: July 25, 2019, 07:15:48 AM
Aside from all the analysis that you have to  learn ,i guess the hardest part to practice is the right attitude towards your trade
Yes its true Its hard to really be patient but it is very important ,its also hard to let go of that instinct or gut feeling but you also have to let go of that it might give you false hope about your trade.
Trading is not easy ,so many learnings to do to be able to earn but its very rewarding.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Are Women Slowly Leaning On To Crypto Trade? on: July 25, 2019, 04:33:00 AM
Im a woman and i did not hesitate to learn more about crypto eversince i have known bitcoin, i cannot go fulltime because of all the responsibilities at home taking care of the chores and my children. There are many crypto and blockchain seminars that i have seen but was not able to attend because my schedule wont allow me. But i know there are webinars available also but which at times conflict with my busy schedule as well so thank God there are youtube trainings available and a group of community that i can rely on for sharing knowledge and infos. So ladies its okay to be slowly , some success may took only a year  but some will take you 2 years or more but no matter what its okay ,this is not a race. And If you think you are one step ahead to someone do not hesitate to share it makes life even better.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: If the government supports bitcoin instead of the existing currency. on: July 24, 2019, 01:43:15 PM
Neither bitcoin nor paper money has any real value, but notes have national credit support, and what if bitcoin also gets national credit? The government will lose its macro-control policy but it can also effectively eliminate inflation, two relative ratios. Is that a good result? Of course, I know that the government is very unlikely to support bitcoin, but who knows?

I would rather not want bitcoin to be supported or be adopted by a certain country to be used as means for trading purposes legally ,if it happen bitcoin will need to have a stable value and be centralized like banks.
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the most important lesson you have learned in trading. on: July 22, 2019, 03:01:56 PM
the most important lesson i have learned in my trading experience was to not rely on instinct
In trading ,instinct gives you false hope and faith that will keep you holding on to your trade that will eventually might empty your wallet.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen on: July 22, 2019, 02:39:14 PM
"Nearly 2.7 trillion won ($2.3 billion) have been lost to crimes involving cryptocurrency in the last two years, according to South Korean government data."

where do you see the improvements being made against crypto criminal activity. this can really hurt the price for traders/investors if conditions don't improve.

i really hate this when i encounter people here in our country saying Bitcoin is scam
i know i am not to judge them but why invest in something you do not understand, peoples greediness is the real reason
why there are scammers and why there are people being scammed.
thats why i do my part to enlighten those people to atleast have a change of heart and understand crypto more.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I love the speculators in Bitcoin. on: July 22, 2019, 11:22:57 AM
I just realized speculators add some value to all of us, when they cause spikes in the price. I am a hoarder through and through, but I like to support Bitcoin merchants by buying and paying with bitcoin for some food and drinks on a daily basis. This is the only way to make sure that there would be a continuous demand for coins, if we "feed" the merchants that supports us.

So my strategy has always been to use +/- 20% of all the coins I buy... and most of these coins are spend daily on food and drinks. I buy the odd hamburger and chips or Taco and drinks at a local street food merchant that accepts Bitcoin.

This gets me to the point of my topic and that is that speculators can have a positive influence on my spending habits and the amount of coins that I spend. If they push up the price, I get to spend less coins. A Taco and Cooldrink cost about say 0.0004 BTC today and when they drive up the price, I can spend less coins the next day, when that same food costs say 0.0003 BTC  Roll Eyes

Some people stop spending coins, when the price is too low and that is bad for the whole Bitcoin ecosystem.

Some people hate these speculators, but I love it when they push up the price and I can spend less coins. Grin

what country do you live in buddy? i am pretty jealous about that ,anyways who would not want to spend less on any item or service you pay for.
i get your point plus the possibility of encouraging some people to do the same thing makes the scene much better
99  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong Coins o Altcoins ang Pwedeng Sumabay Kay Bitcoin on: July 20, 2019, 03:13:13 PM
not all the time pero pansin ko lang kapag pumping si bitcoin kontra ang galaw ng karamihan sa altcoins but i can see Binance coin most of the times can move along with btc movement , for me safest to trade ang BNB kapag malikot ang galaw ni BTC.
100  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: July 20, 2019, 02:46:20 PM
as we've been in a state of bear-trend for almost a year, i'm trying to find another usage of my eth and btc except hodling. do you know any real working crypto-marketplaces? probably it's not a bad option and i would find something really worthful to buy without any doubts of being scammed. kindly waiting for your feedback

i am kinda hesitant to use crypto as payment to a good or service but im willing to accept crypto as payment to a good im selling or service that im giving, so i think holding on is best for me or trade it on trading platform to make it grow
