81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 14, 2013, 11:47:55 AM
I still havent seen the massive buying at bottom..
we went down.. and all was expecting even lower prices so nobody bought in yet..

then some big guy(s) keeps pushing price olmost with repeating accuracy.

so the only thing that happend was a few big buys pushing op price..  and ofcourse people are riding the waves.

it made sense for big guys to buy looking at technical indicators..
they can push it much higher.. and i'll ride the waves but always selling  at top and keeping fiat..
i'm sure alot are doing this now..

this cannot hold for ever

the little selloff we had friday? wasnt even a correction..
and we need corrections to keep it healthy..

my best guess..   one more push up..   and then market will correct..

or ... not  Smiley

ok.. i'm trying to get my head around this pip thing..

i took your long example from the faq.
correct me where i'm wrong and please help me where i dont understand it.

    Bet size: 0.002 BTC/pt

so i say.. here: for every pt (wich is 1 $cent so .. 0.01$) that goes up.. i want btc.sx to pay me 0.002btc
(deposit of 2 BTC required)

this is:Deposit = Size * Required Stop

The required stop is currently 1250 points. Th

in this case 0.002 btc * 1250 points?  seems not to be 2btc but it's my best guess..

    Buy Price: US$120 = 12000 points
this is 120$*100 because points are actuall $cents.

Close price on liquidation: US$128 = 12800 points
this is 128$*100 because points are actuall $cents.

    Profit = (12000 - ((12000^2) / 12800)) * 0.002
i dont understand this calculation please fully explain.

    Profit = 1.5 BTC

other questions..
can you show us how much btc or usd is borrowd if we place an 0.002btc/pt bet?  i'm not fully understanding how leverage works here.. x100 ?
so if i place bet 0.002btc/pt.. you automatically  borrow 100 times this amount in usd if i want to go long? and on this the daily fund  is calculated?   how?

Execution Spread:  if you need to borrow btc .. where do you get it, gox??  since it apparently could be  problematic when there is " high volatility or low liquidity"  i want to know where to look to see if indeed the liquidity is low or the volatility is too high .

what is the current maximum betsize?
where do you get your current prices from?

and please make "stop order" one of your biggest priorities possible Smiley   a realy great example is the one from bitfinex.. you can move it up and down whenever you want..   with bitcoins volatility..  a few hours away from screen could be problematic...

regards

1 hour ema's about to cross..    Shocked

what will it be..  wale that doesnt want a  real selloff  who buys..

or enough people start selling..  hence a selloff..

?

edit: the wall of 999 that has been reduced to 500..

why would he sit there?  to be eaten..    then buy 300btc and move price up again with less buys..

?

goddamit.; i'm not going to be able to sleep this night i guess lol

89  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] 1Broker.com - Trade forex, indices, stocks and commodities on: July 12, 2013, 08:18:16 PM
Issue noticed today:

1. I went Short at around 15:15 with +0.2% interest.
2. At 16:00 I was expecting to see positive interest on my coins but instead calculation was delayed and interest reversed!
3. One and a half minute after 16:00 I was charged with -0.00833333 BTC instead of getting that much coins.

What is the point of showing interest when it calculates only at full hour and only if it suits you? You could show +100% interest rate and switch it
to negative later. Interest is practially a tax on our orders, calculated when and as you wish. I can't remember when it was last time I actualy made
money there! It seems that I'll go negative with interest regardless of if I'm positive or negative when it comes to money made off order itself.

Another thing:

You should clarify the way you are calculating price. As far as I tell, you are picking prices off MtGox, BTC-e and BitStamp, using not average prices
and some constant exchange weight but adjustable weight and Bid or Ask price as it suits you. Price can go down on all 3 exchanges but there is
no movement downward on 1Broker or it is noticably delayed, in a way that if all 3 exchanges go down a lot than you will drop your price eventualy
after 1 minute. Once you do that, it takes 1 Satoshi bought on BTC-e for you to rise your price by up to 0.5 BTC! Coupled with the fact that orders
are not closed when user decides so but on the next tick (which you control), and coupled with the fact I'm putting 20 BTC with leverage 5 in very
shaky price times, when wrong predicition can cost a lot in just few minutes, deciding when to close order is more complicated than opening it! "Will
I make 1 BTC or 0.5 BTC, or maybe I'll go negative (on top of already being negative because of ever hostile interest) let's see ... click!"

You might call it "risk management" or whatever but I call it bullshit! Changing spread value on will, without any notice, is another "cool" feature.

ok if you have a bug.. why dont u just use support.  instead of beeing so harsh on a public forum..

just to show people this is a good working service:

i  made around +-5  btc in 1.5 day trading in very small trading channels   (not the big rallies) and most of my trades took no longer then 30min->2hour..
i used the 15minute chart on clarke moody.. to base my trades on.

take in account that bitstamp reacts to mtgox a bit later so it makes sense that there's some delay on the price
so the super fast trading like on gox is not the way to go here.

support also has been wonderfull when i had some sms withdraw problems. they looked for the problem and made it work again.

interest rate: i think it's a very fair price +- 0.2%  I dont understand why it changes in rate.. but it never seems to be an unfair rate at all..

I think interest is on the coins you are lending  for your margin position. so it will always be a cost and thus taken from your wallet

1broker should make a simple tutorial or something.. it would help a lot.

Really interesting, we are (obviously) at a key spot. I didn't draw that green line, that is the price  Grin
We are overbought I'd say, very much so after the last big "bounce". And the candle appears like it was "pushed" down to the current level.

Up or Down? I really say down, but can feel the psychological push up.

I agree .. if big buys happen..   this could be another up run
but it's friday..   some people switch to fiat on friday..  starting a selloff ..
one thing is sure.. this fast run up will have a correction at some point..

what would be realy awesome..

to put our own stop loss
This is coming in a few days. I promise!

edit: what is the "hidden" stoploss now? when all our deposit is used?
another question:
When most of your margin is lost.

the 100btc limit is for each position
or is total amount to play with  for an acount.?
100 BTC limit is only for the BTCUSD market. Limits are always per market.

another question:
BTC/USD market.. does it close in the weekend? (would be a bit wierd since things happen in weekend too..)
No it stays open of course.

aweseome.

now how can we help to move limits up? Smiley

what would be realy awesome..

to put our own stop loss

example

go long with 10 btc..  entry price 85
we put our stoploss at 83

price goes up to 90

we move our stop loss at 88

this way we can sleep Smiley

I bought back in at 65 (Bitstamp). 63-64 has been tested 3 times and has held. My guess is that the price will rally for a while now.

A quick update.

I sold at just under 75 on Bitstamp yesterday, as there seems to be little in the way of upward momentum. There now seems to be a vague triple bottom and/or downward triangle forming around 70. I suspect selling pressure will break through this and we will push back down towards 65 and possibly lower.

I think I will sit on my hands and buy when it feels right, rather than putting an order at this time. There doesn't seem to be much support above 60 on the books and I'm unsure whether 65 would survive another sell off.

If only I had done the same. Funny, your numbers matched mine...

Thanks for sharing your observations with selling pressure as I haven't been watching much. I have seen the larger blocks in buys stagnate though.

And look at this double double reverse bottom descending triangle. What do you all think?  Grin
