Is the overwhelming use of these ~10 USD loans gambling/trading? I can't see how anyone can otherwise turn a profit so quickly. If so, can we logically conclude that most of these loans will default and that the OP is just really really generous/naive? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I realize most of these are for gambling and i've acknowledged this earlier in the thread. I only loan to those with good reputation, so the risk is minimal. Most of the borrowers don't want to ruin their reputation over a few dollars, so they'd find another way to short the loan repayment in the event they lost while gambling. Sometimes I am willing to take a risk, but it's never more than I can afford to lose.

Offering micro loans of up to .02 to full members
Damn, these loan scammers are blind, aren't they? What do you mean by loan scammers? I fail to see how issuing loans is scamming in any way... As for my absence on this thread, just returned from a training exercise with a particular branch of the US military. Not going to mention specifics, but i'm back. I'm referring to the fact a ton of people scammers who aren't full members, and are in fact usually newbie rank, are asking for loans on your thread. That makes more sense. It comes with the territory, but they're easily weeded out.

Sorry but most of loans over this forums are possible because of provided collaterals. People wont risk their money Understandably so. I'm comfortable with my current set-up so if it grows, cool. If not, no problem.
|
|
|
Can you provide collaterals? as LTC or GHS?
No, which is the reason i'm seeking the loan--to fund my other micro-loan thread and do bigger business.

Hello,
I am looking for 0.02 btc to complete a transaction buying block erupters.
I know I am not a full member but I have collateral, such as gamecoin or a cvs gift card.
Please consider. I will be able to repay Sunday.
I can do this loan if you provide collateral.

You might have browsed my other thread "Micro Loans/No Collateral". I'm looking to increase my operation and loan size to a more profitable scale, and in order to do this I need some capital. I'm looking for a long-term loan of 1 BTC to issue larger loans to reputable forum users. All borrowers undergo a credit check that involves evaluation of all posts, and must report what they plan on doing with the loan, how they plan on repaying, etc.
My micro loans sometimes end up in gambler's hands. I will NEVER lend borrowed capital to gamblers, suspected gamblers, etc. I will NEVER lend over $20 worth of BTC to known gamblers. A loan of .1 BTC or greater is considered a "large" loan. Interest will be charged on a sliding scale, and duration of loan will be determined by the borrower, not to exceed 30 calendar days.
If you lend me 1 BTC, you can expect repayment within 3 months at 100% APR which equates to 1.25 BTC (check my math). I can provide proof-of-income if need be. I keep detailed excel sheets of loans, wallets, and the like. I will be 100% transparent with the lender and all business will be done in public on a thread. I currently own .3 BTC in capital i'm using for my micro-loans. Please post with inquiries.
Thank you as always!

Hello. Just making an inquiry as to what a 7 day loan of 0.02 btc would cost me and also what are terms of such a loan? Thanks ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) 20% interest would put .02 BTC at a repayment value of .024. Terms are simple; pay back within 10 days, conduct all transactions publically on this thread. New members rarely meet qualifications because unestablished members have a tendency to "grab and go" if you will. Reputation is your friend.

That begs the question, if they really were worth $1 each, why doesn't he just flip them on an exchange?
That's false logic because selling an asset does not have the same economic effect as borrowing against it. However, claiming the collateral is worth $1 when it is actually worth much less is a scam in any case. I see your point, but assuming he is a scammer, there is no perceived economic effect on his end. It's a swap and run transaction.

If you haven't already made a deal with Vod, I can possibly give you this loan. Which altcoin is it?
Be careful - he's posting in multiple threads at the same time for this. He has $638 MachineCoin, which he claims are worth $1 each. That begs the question, if they really were worth $1 each, why doesn't he just flip them on an exchange? That's because they're not liquid at all. Perhaps the most obscure altcoin out there right now. The only place I found an exchange was some very sketchy bare-bones site that listed a MachineCoin (MAC) at .00000085, nowhere near the $1/MAC they were claiming. tl;dr Scam.

I would like to request 0.007 but being pessimistic and counting that my collateral comes by in 14 days(due to signature payment) I will wait your decision, I will wait 1 week to be sure if you don't want to loan me now I understand it ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I found this extremely difficult to understand. What are you talking about collateral? Waiting one week?
