81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ħ [HODL] Imagine If Your "Swiss" uᴉoɔʇᴉq Account Had Compounding Interest. on: April 01, 2016, 07:37:13 PM

Same here, my last block found was 2 days ago.  Before that it was 3 days straight without a block.
Mining in a pool fare worse than solo mining.  At my hashrate getting about 1 Hodl/hour.
Yeah I was hashing at around 100 and was enjoying getting 50 hodl/day. Then the mining pool hit and nada for days on end.
Not worth keeping my computer on 24/7, stressing my cpu and heating up my computer. Much cheaper buying some hodl every week.
Too bad though cause I was enjoying contributing and checking everyday on how many nuts I got.

Ya, I'm done with cpu mining for now as the difficulty has increased so much as to not make it worth the stress on my computer anymore. I may let it run overnight sometimes just to see if I get lucky. I did get about 500 coins (10 blocks) so that's something. Wonder where they'll be in 12 months...

I'm going to give this a try with my GTX 760. Any suggestions on the right command line to use for maximum performance?

Is there a list of hashrate for invidual cpu?  My 4770k is doing 170 h/s @3.9 GHZ.

Anyone knows which is the fastest cpu? and @ what hashrate?

best i have seen is 450H/s xeon E7xx

How many core/thread does it have?  Core frequency has little impact on hashrate.

A few days ago, there was a seller auctioning off an engineering sample of a 24 cores/ 48 threads Xeon E5-26xx V4 for $700.
Wonder what the hashrate on that one.

Anyway, here the hashrate of all the cpu in my collection......
40 h/s per hyperthreaded core for Core I7 4700 series
    30 h/s per core for 3700 series
10 h/s per core for Pentium 3200 (2 core no hyperthread) series and 1st gen Core I7 series like the I7 920, 930, etc.....

Anyone else knowing hashrate for other cpu.  Please post your hashrate and cpu

Please forgive me if this is off topic

i posted before but I'm getting 150 h/s on my i5 6600k so that's about 37 per core. I mined a few blocks but with the current rise in the network rate I may stop mining, I haven't hit a block for nearly 3 days now running all day.

You have to think about all the extra expenses that will increase ROI time and the fact that hash rate will continue to rise over the coming months, also eventually ether will be going POS so hardware mining will be eliminated.  Of course it is possible and really not THAT hard to setup..depending on your skill level and you will want to have your own node to do  solo mining to earn the most.  But no one wants to see diff rise more than it already is, so don't expect someone to hold your hand through the setup without paying them.

You need a facility, cooling, proper power, networking, cabling and of course all the hardware.

R9 280x Watts = 300 so 125 x 300 = 37.5 kw factor in PSU efficiency of 90% = 41 KW roughly..   so for cooling...

The gpu & psu will produce 140'500 btu's of heat and will need 11.7 tons of cooling and I didn't factor in the mainboard/cpu

As for power a normal 200 amp breaker can provide 24 kw of power, so were talking serous electrical work.

And then at any moment the GPU mining scene could go *POOF* no more profit and how liquid will all these assets be?

what 280x consume 300? lol you can downclock it or downvolt for 200watt and maybe lower, 300 is overestimate, so you need like 24kw in total power

i would not worry about gpu scene being not profitable, there is always something to mine, i remember they were saying same thing each time the profitability rise to the sky and look now it's again profitable

What has there been to mine between litecoin and ethereum that was actually profitable on any scale? And ethereum wasn't even profitable until a couple of months ago really.

Big issue is going to be finding a place that can provide you with that level of power and also mitigate the heat generated...and deal with all of this in time to actually turn a profit.

So getting around 105-120 h/s with my i7 4770k is normal? Also do you cpu-mine or gpu-mine?If you cpu-mine you use the miner from the wallet or another miner? If you gpu-mine what miner do you use and what h/s do you get?
Thanks in advance!

I'm getting 150h/s with a 6600k so that does seem a bit low for your processor.
It's impossible to get 150h/s with a 6600k with the wallet miner.
Overclocked to more than 5 GHz?  Grin

The wallet miner has been reporting 146-155h/s pretty steadily for the last few days. The only other possibility is because I have DDR4 RAM that is quite fast (3200 cas 15 on XMP) and that could play a role possibly?

impossible solo mine. seems someone  has more than 10x performance cpu or gpu miner..

After a few days I'm averaging one block per day at 150h/s

It would be good if it was on more exchanges:

I'm also missing a block a mined.

I got the notification and the 50 coins were added to my balance, then next time I checked the wallet they were gone. My wallet was running the entire time just minimized so I don't know what happened- they were in my wallet and then gone.

Any idea why it says "wrong format" when trying to enter my ETH wallet address? I just created the account and feeling a bit stupid about it not working...

edit: looks like it has to be all lower case

Hi all!
i am new too
how to set wallet address?
writing "wronf format"

It looks like the address has to contain lower-case letters only.

I'm trying to use this on dwarfpool to mine monero but it doesn't seem to be working. Other miners work fine.

Anyone else having issues?
